The boot volume fix worked for me... If any one tries it please let me know.

I flashed the long and the short versions. Are they both just sound only?

No they have a full animation... they both worked for me... Are you using cwm or twrp? It worked in twrp for me
You can try manually just putting the bootanimation.zip file in its proper location ...

In that case no rush. I' ve wanted to make a thundercats boot for awhile, finally have time to do it and both my computers went out. But when you do have a chance can you see if you're getting sounds. I can only get the vid to work

Check you're volume.db for the boot sound, if it says 0.0 it will never play the sound

Yea after I posted that I remembered it was something that was disabled in the Rom I use

This does not fully work on GS3...I mean I hear the audio but I don't see anything. I've tried flashing it as well as just changing the files via Root Explorer

Will a ROM fix this??

I just got a new sgs2 thru a warranty exchange, but for some reason this one doesnt have a lockscreen. I press the power button and It just opens to my homescreen, also when I hold the power button it just shuts down instead of giving me the lil options of shutting down, airplane, etc. will installing a ROM fix these issues or do I gotta get a new one again?? Thanks

Yes a new rom should clear this up np. the rom im using actually gives you the option to remove the lockscreen all together. the prior user of your phone must have removed the lockscreen.... Either that or they have some shady software program that restores the phones at tmobil.

Is there a way to change what the soft keys do?

I know that with a c10 rom u can. But what about with a touchwiz rom, I want to be able to launch floating notes from like long press menu key. Or back key. I onow theres a long press menu for app kill. Can someone point me in the right direction..

Download Mode?

Ok so I made the jump to zv9 and after realizing my mistake I want to downgrade with LGNPST and root. Long story short, I've used every button combination on this phone and can't get into download mode. I know it's supposed to be vol(up + down) + power but it's not doing anything other than booting up. Am I doing something wrong? Did I hold it too long? Not long enough? Do i sacrifice a goat to the gods of LG? Someone please help...

HANDY TRICKS for One V

Did you know that you can switch off(put it to sleep) your phone by swiping from the menu key to the back key?And then you can switch it back on by doing the exact opposite...by swiping from the back button to the menu button. You dont even need root for this!! Works for every ROM

What in the hell is wrong with you? Just in the past 20 minutes I've come across 3 vile posts from you. Does putting people down online make you feel better about yourself? Grow up.

[Q] how do you turn off music volume warning?

Hey does any of you guys know how do I turn off the warning when I turn the volume up? It's getting quite annoying.. thanks in advance.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
The volume warring is a horrible feature, I'm trying to think of why it needs to popup every time. This must have been included for liability reasons.
My problem is that my headphones don't exactly sit close to ear with my helmet on, so they're too quite. Then I can't always grab my phone and close out the warning while I'm riding.
The only solution I've found for this problem is to install a different rom, I am using ReVolt right now. You can disable the warning in the sound settings.
I also would like to know. I want to disable the toast after setting an app as default as well. It's super annoying.

Never mind just saw it now. Its a little Toast message. On other device its an entire pop up window. I am now going to find where its generated and kill it should be done in a little bit

This one's done. WOrking on the toast volume thing.
If you're rooted, you can try Xposed Framework. It's the best. Not only can you remove the warning, there is so much more to customize.

I don't think that will work. T-Mobile uses a toast instead of the normal window. So im not sure if that will work. Can give it a shot. I almost have it removed though.

Bleh, TouchJiz is affecting the volume steps mod. Go listen to music, and start the volume at low, and slowly increment the volume up to max one step at a time. It will get louder then go back to really quite, and then get louder again
