No complaints here, but wanted to let you know that Quick Reboot doesn't work and if chosen regular reboot will no longer work until you power off and on.

It was probably something else. This is a modification of the android.policy.jar file and I could be wrong but I don't believe they are in any way related to one another.
But I will say it doesn't want to turn back on when I try a Quick Reboot. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm also 100% sure this is what broke MultiWindow in stock rooted deodexed (latest version) I flashed the rooted stock deodexed rom first with no mods. The MultiWindow worked fine. I then went back into recovery and flashed this mod and the reboot options seemed to work fine. Then after a little time passed I went to go use MultiWindow and it FC on me. After I reflashed the stock deodexed rom everything was working well again. Also, Viperboy's modded MultiWindow would work fine as long as I didn't also flash this 4 in 1 mod.
I would like to try Josh's other mods (like no camera sounds) but I'm afraid of having to try to patch things up if stuff gets FUBAR.
Ok if you have a root file manager have you tried replacing the file in your system, if it does cause your multi window to force close you can simply replace the modded .jar file with the original, the phone will then reboot but you should do a battery pull. Once you power on the device, android will optimize the apps and your good to go. That should save you the trouble of constant flashing.
yep confirmed. 4in1 somehow borks multi view. been going nuts trying to figure out what was doing it the "last" mod on my list was the 4in1 I almost skipped it thinking how can that do it.
confirmed stock deodex ljc sprint note II. multi view works fine install 4in1 multi view is dead. (also confirmed hot reboot does not work and kills rebooter till you reboot)

yeah, like I said
Does it work in LK8?
Not for me phone went into a boot loop. I havent flashed any mods or kernels either. Im running lk8 deodexed.
I notice I did not update this thread. turns out I installed the WRONG file which is why 4in1 borked multiview. the download link I used did not distinguish one file from another. OP (of the 4in1 thread) has updated and distinguished between the files I installed the right file and 4in1 works fine.
now I need to find 4in1 for the S3
I didn't see one posted for LK8 anywhere else. So I made one myself in case others want it now.

I recompiled the 14 toggle mod to be compatible with the UCLE1 leak and still work with USB.
I have only tested with mr x. UVLE1 stock rom base (The Tmobile ICS Stock).
14toggle.zip - applies the 14 toggle
revertBar.zip - takes you back to stock (Use this if to get back to stock if you have any problems) (LE1)
rom needs to be deodexed
For stock odexed roms like the odin tar you need to
use root explorer to
rename the systemui.odex to systemui.odex.bak after flashing
and reboot
if you run into problems just use the revert and rename it back to original name
Thnxx bro ! Wondering is this themed or no?
no exactly the same look as the old one. All I did is fix the usb mounting issue.
Will this work on the new stock T-Mo ICS ?

You beat me to it. I tried it today and it worked for me. I will repack a more current revertBar.zip but I think that one should work too.
I couldnt deal with not having a toggle mod but Ive been real busy so I wasnt sure if I would bother to try to fix it if it didnt work but it did so everything is fine.
EDIT: I flashed it on top of mr. x's base but I think it should be nearly identical to the odin flash so it should work for both.
Awesome. I will try it out. I really miss my toggles .Thanks.

Well after I flashed it, I had no status bar at all. So I flashed the revert zip and it came back. I'm using CWM 5.0.2.6 so I'm not sure what's wrong.

I did it with cwm 5.0.2.7 and mr x stock base. Are you coming from the odin tar?
I'm not sure what you mean .... I was running juggs 5.0 then I odin back to stock recovery uvlde so I could get ICS via kies. Then I re rooted using odin with the package on galaxys2root.com
Edit: I updated to 5.0.2.7 and tried another one 5.8.1.3 ( I think) from Rom manager.
Same result every time.
I see. I forgot your rom needs to be deodexed.

I have been through every Rom looking for this feature, CRT Animation. The ACS Syndicate Rom is the only Rom available with it. Although that Rom over-heats, and drains the battery. I have done everything I can think of or find to get this modification, with no luck!
Currently on Blazer Rom 1.7 LG8
I have tried the CWM Zip files for the international models... although it says installed correctly, does not work.
I have tried the CWM Zip files for the Galaxy S2... once again it says it installs correctly, but does not work.
I have tried the manual code change for the international models... pushed services.jar onto phone and it worked for a minute with a terrible stutter and lag on screen on, after a few minutes it stopped working altogether and left me with this ugly lag on screen on.
I tried then the manual code for the sprint based LG2 models... pushed services.jar onto phone and it did not work at all, and still left me with a ugly lag on screen on.
I have re-flashed Blazer Rom and am once again twiddling my thumbs... PLEASE HELP!

I have just tried to replace the services.jar in the /system/framework folder, rezipped, resigned, and re-flashed the ROM. Again, it is not working. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, thank you wildgamer100.
Guys, it is IMPOSSIBLE if you are running LG8. You could hack it in the whole framework but that would be way too much work. Samsung messed with the SurfaceFlinger and it broke the CRT animation. Sorry.

Thank you for clearing that up Clark44, If I can bother with a few other questions?
Is it possible after updating to LG8, to flash the modem back to LG2 and then make the modification?
Or, do you know where I can find an outdated version of a ROM, aside from ACS Syndicate ROM, that is still in LG2?
Thanks again!

Wouldnt it brick your phone being different hardware and all that??

It seems that upon boot the services files revert back to original ones since they are controlled by the framework itself, therefore do nothing on LE8 either since the whole rom needs to be remodified to include CRT animation fyi on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715238 there is crt mod for every firmware version. I have absolutely no idea thou why it would work on tmobile LG2 out of a sudden, so report back when u install that LG2 rom and the CRT files u used (probs we are using different mods).

I'll see what I can do for you
Edit: No idea if this is going to work. Samsung has a proprietary file format for boot animations so I don't know if this will even work. That being said, you'll need to check /data/local for any old boot animations, then check /system/media for any old ones, then delete those first. Then reboot into recovery and try flashing this. Once again, I have no idea if this will work, so flash at your own risk. I would try it but I'm on stock right now.
If it does work, it will only work with stock AT&T Stock Roms. You shouldn't have anything to lose. If it doesn't work, delete the two files in /system/media that it flashes and I'll do my best to get you something here soon. I have an exam tomorrow so I might not be able to get ti to you immediately.
http://www.mediafire.com/?1z4lmflvq5a1gtv
Edit 2: I found the files from the proprietary format already extracted somewhere. I changed the text file for 720x1280 resolution so this should "theoretically" flash on any rom with custom bootanimation support. Try this one first. I have excluded the sound file for this one.
http://www.mediafire.com/?fa6a3rl7mkkz018
Last but not least, here's a stock AOSP Jelly Bean boot animation from the Galaxy Nexus that I made, tested, and use in case you decide you want something else that's more stock-android. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1888848

Edit: Okay my friend you should be good to go. I figured out the issue and this should fix it for you. Let me know if you have any more issues. This animation will flash on any 720x1280 phone. Just flash from recovery as you did before. I don't know if I can locate the sound for you, but if you really want I can try to find it. Hope you enjoy!

Weird, this is making me pull my hair out. I've made several boot animations and I can't figure out why this one is going crazy. I'm going to send a few messages to have someone review my work and make sure I'm not making some sort of stupid mistake. I'll try uploading 1 more time and you let me know what happens. I will flash smartguy's kernel again to test this out. My txt file with configuration is exactly the way it should be...if anyone has any ideas please throw them out there.
What I did part 1: Go to /system/media and make sure bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg are both deleted or moved to another location. Still experiencing issue that you are with stock UCALH9 and the unlocked kernel. Still hearing audio from boot animation. The animation is not looping the way that it should. After deleting those files, the animation plays, but does not move on the part1 folder to loop the image like it should. I've tried one of my other boot animations and it works just fine. It might take me awhile but I'll figure this out. I'm really busy with school right now and I will try to finish it when I can.
With the inverted one on koontz kernel I get a blank screen

I've downloaded and flashed the MA7 version multiple times, and each time my phone refuses to complete its boot (it gets stuck at "The Android System is upgrading").
I assume you are using the Viperboy 4-in-1 mod.
And I've wiped caches just in case, before and after applying it.
Unfortunately, I don't remember which one I DL'd because it's the one I grabbed for MA5, which I upgraded to a couple weeks before MA7 OTA was released. The mod file didn't have the dev's name.
At this point, I would suggest DLing all them, and flash them till you find one that works.

Well the only thing I can figure is his mod also modifies the android.policy.jar file. If you have a link to his mod I will look and see if I can put the two together, no promises though as I am new to all this and just learning myself.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2246488
Warning - While these files are provided in ZIP format they are not intended for flashing in CWM or TWRP or any other recovery
These files are provided for developers and other interested parties who want to inspect or work with the AT&T UCAMH3 stock files for the GN2. I've provided three options depending on what you are interested in:
1 - The full UCAMH3 system partition - see odex option in this thread
2 - Just the changes from MC3 to MH3 (558MB)
3 - Just the changes from MC3 to MH3 - minus the APPS in /system/apps (129MB)
** all three downloads also include the new kernel, modem, and recovery binaries **
OK ... If you are still reading, and you are not a dev but want an option to update from MC3 to MH3 that does not require using the OTA process but does support CWM (and maybe TWRP - see below)...
Caution - the CWM package below has been tested under a specific set of conditions and may or may not work for you depending on how you have customized your phone. You assume all risks. It has not been tested with TWRP. The following is intended to be a guide, not a guarantee:
If you can answer yes to all the following questions this package may be of benefit to you:
1 - I intend to run this package from a current version of Phil's CWM recovery on an AT&T Note 2
2 - My phone is currently running an unmodified version of UCAMC3 firmware
3 - That includes the kernel and the modem

CWM Upgrade from UCAMC3 to UCAMH3
The above package differs from the OTA package as follows:
1 - does not install the new bootloader
2 - alters updaterscript to allow ro.secure=0 and nonstandard recoveries

Thanks for that! Just as an aside, I flashed back to UCAMC3 radio and tried to flash the CWM flashable package you included and it would not install. I'm (now with the old radio) running stock with CWM recovery installed. Anyway, thanks you are awesome!

Yeah.. that flashable package is basically the OTA update with a few changes to allow it to run via CWM, minus the bootloader update. Other than that it's the OTA script. It expects a stock MC3 phone. If any files are missing from /system/app that it expects to see it will abort. The main draw is avoiding the bootloader update, although others have gone the OTA route and so far no reports of any lockdown as of yet.
Most people will either run the OTA, or cherry pick from the update files. The CWM can be modified if someone wants a specific part of the update or is just curious about how it works.
Many thanks OP...
Good stuff...g

If you are referring to the CWM package, it will only work on AT&T stock UCAMC3 firmware - system, modem and kernel.
The modem has already been reported as not working on the Roger's version of the GN2.
The APKs? YMMV ...

The CWM barfs on a few things, your note that the build needs to looks just like the picture is spot on. Not sure what I did in my numerous attempts to get to MC3, but I thought everything looked good. It barfed on the build number. It showed MA4 for some reason. Everything was right.
It was getting late last night so I ODN'd back to KIES_HOME_I317UCAMA4_I317ATTAMA4_578342_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5
and let it sit over night, connected to Wifi.
Woke up and update was already downloaded and ready for reboot. It was MH3 and it installed perfectly. Tripped me out.
One error I got after I thought I had it perfect (fixed the build number issue) was on the system.xml check. I flash as often as I sleep so I figured flash counter was maybe the issue. Ran triangle-away got back to "stock". But that's when I did the ODIN gig and hit the sack.
Thanks for the post. Bean a long rough week and didn't know an update was out. I may spend the day hacking on MH3 and releasing something. One of the guru devs will probably beat me to it.
When will we see a simple rooted/optimized H3?

What do mean by optimized? I received my MH3 via OTA and by itself is running pretty nice.
But of course that's not good enough.
I've installed saberkernel

Just tried this
[SCRIPT TO ODEX] Universal Odex Script Version 6.2 (07-08-2013)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390162
Always debatable about odex and deodex. But I thought what the hell.
I'm going to try xposed frameworks to theme. Don't remember if ROM has to be deodexed.
And finally

But there's other scripts to try

So depending what you want, you may not have to wait.

Yeah, that was the exact experience I had. Re-installed UCAMC3 modem, ran triangle away, thought everything was good. No such luck. I did the same thing as well, reset through Kies back to stock and it immediately let me DL and install the update. Signal is better it seems, Wifi too. Also it may just be me hallucinating, but it looks like the battery drain is quite a bit less as well.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU to @Zen Arcade

So the forthcoming Jedi-X19 uses this new AT&T MH3 as the base? SWEET!
