Hi,
I just tried allshare play on my Samsung ES7000 smart tv, works great.
But now that I've enabled this, everytime I play a video on my phone I get the all share icon.
1.How can i turn this of and doesn't it eat the battery running in the background?

anyone?
There is no benefit to delete and you can't . It's just an indication of the possibility that you can stream to a device.
Shut down your tv and the icon will not show.
If it does show it means there is an other device to what you can share to.

If you disable AllShare, will the icon still show?

The icon is caused by AllShare server.
That's part of the system and runs in the background.
Only when there is no receiving device to stream towards, the icon will be gone.

your mp3 player.
That's strange. I didn't use it. I rebooted it and it stopped. =|

Well I can't say that I know this, but just the name would suggest to me that it is related to the DLNA features of the phone.
if your Wifi is constantly ON and you have a home Wifi network with a Windows 7 or any DNLA device thats constantly on then its detecting Media Server and is connecting to it, that media servier pops up in my PS3 all the time even if i did not set my PC to share files with anything else
That might explain it but I've never set up dlna to work with anything I have. Fortunately it stopped running after I did a reboot. It's sad though how much of a cpu hog it really is even when it's not connected to anything

If I start my DLNA app and then "back out" of it, after a bit I'll get a message saying that it's running and consuming power and do I want to shut it down. I know the Task Manager has to be used sparingly, but I've set DLNA as one of my few apps to kill when the screen times out.
Can anyone explain why am I getting 16.0 MB of background data usage if all my sync is off.
I dont use any sync on anything.
please see attached thanks
How can I track what is being sent out?
thanks
Sync may be turned off but is background data turned off? If you open the playstore does it ask you to enable background data?if not its still turned on

With ICS it can not be turn off like before. It requires to place a limit on Data transfer. I am playing with it a bit because I want to be able to turn of Google play but not the rest of my apps.
Also I would like to know whats is being transfer maybe there is an app log or something out there to monitor that.

On ics there is a option to restrict backround data
Today I received my Galaxy Watch and I'm pretty happy with it. However I cannot control music on my phone with my watch.
I open music app on my watch, press connect to device. It says connecting for some time after which i get a message that it couldn't connect.
I tried with Google Podcasts, TimberX, Youtube Vanced, Shuttle+.
Any ideas?

I don't use TimberX or Shuttle+ but everything I use works fine with the player.
Try reseting the watch, check for updates on the gear and galaxy app. Then open the music app on the watch not the widget.

Resetting didn't help. Watch was updated yesterday, apps are up to date
EDIT:
The interesting part is. It stared showing background images/album covers and changes play pause button depending if I'm playing or not. But im still unable to control the music and I need to connect to the phone. Weird situation
Hello, on the s20 I can't seem to get live temperatures to display in the notifications bar from weatherbug at the top next to the time. Anybody know why that is?

In Weatherbug settings "Live conditions" must be enabled ... also in phone settings under "status bar", "show notification icons" should be enabled too...

I have both on as you described in your pictures, still no temperatures from any weather program. Other status bar items work, like signal spy. I just cannot seem to get temperature. Any ideas?
