Gnex Toolkit

Hi
sorry for posting my problem here, but Iam still not allowed to post in development section.
I've got the donations version of the galaxy nexus toolkit. My problem is, that i cannot use the update function.
I got asked if i want to check for an update. Then i got this error:
Update server cannot be located.
Check your internet connection and try again later.
I tested with firewall off and for testing i forwarded port 5037.. no success.
In earlier versions of the toolkit i had no problems.. but when i downgrade from 7.8 to 7.5 the problem still appears...
I hope someone can help me..

considering a good chuck of us who help people dont like toolkits, honestly, that thread might be your best bet.
ive never used the toolkit, and never will.

I used the kit for installing cwm.
I diddnt used the kit for something else. But its still a problem which i'd like to solve..
Flashing and backups for example i manage with cwm.

Learn how to do things without a toolkit.

You should use the Wugfresh toolkit
And can someone please remove the post restriction off me?

Learn what is going on in the background first...... And you are not developing anything, stop trying to post trash in the development section.

Do not use toolkit. Period. More problems than not from what I see in threads. Always starts with. ..I used a toolkit and now.. ..adb is so simple.if need help or have questions with it YouTube qbking77 and I'm sure he has a video for anything.

And from experience. ..listen to the guy about posting in the dev section. Those guys are BRUTAL and won't explain what qualifies to post there, will just rip you a new one. Basically, unless you created a rom or kernel. .you don't post. If you think something might help them, you don't post. All questions go to q &a unless its about specific rom or kernel you're using and then it goes in the rom thread. Stay away from kernels until you know what doing. Those things always Jack my phone so I personally stay stock. If need help feel free to pm me. I'm not half as knowledge as alot of the people in here but sounds like you're new at this so I can help on some aspects and if can't can probably point you in the right direction to get it

I agree - better learn to do things without the toolkit. It may actually be easier to do things without it, atleast it was to me when I unlocked and rooted my GN.

Can I flash an Galaxy note 2 who is not destinated for sale? it hasn't network at all , so I want to know if I can flash an stock rom or custom for an normal note 2 to use it like that

i also have the same device and the problem that concerns me is the baseband and imei numbers are blank

First : I wanted to try anything because without S / N phone does'nt work!
Second: there is a great suspicion that a phone "not for sale" in a particular person, so I wanted to pose a risk to flash something that is certainly robbed!

Can you? Maybe.
Should you? Not really.
If the device is marked as "not for sale" its possibly a store demonstrator (for people to try in-store) with no valid IMEI, so that it can't work as a cellphone if its stolen.
It could also be an engineering/production/testing sample with non-standard hardware or software.
Another issue is that you would have to clone an IMEI to get the phone working, which is illegal in most countries.
In conclusion, these devices are dubious at best and leave way too many questions unanswered.

i have been searching the web for a few hours now and i do not know what to do.. i just bought a samsung s3 sgh t999v from videotron and i would like to unlock it so i can use it with a Rogers sim card. Can any one give me the step by step instruction to do so.. thank you for your time

looking for updated unroot and s-on files

Ok guys, I need to send my inc 2 back to big red for a factory replacement. I have scoured the internet for the last 5 hours for legitimate unroot files and boot loader files to no avail. every guide that is posted on every developer site I have been to either has outdated guides or Files that are no longer hosted. the ones that do have files all link to a down loader exe that wants me to install all kinds of spam. This has been the most frustrating thing I have done since rooting my droid X2 (if you ever had one of those phones, you know what i mean) if anyone has these files or a guide that actually work PLEASE! i'm on my knees begging, post a reply here or contact me. If I can not get this to work, I will have to eat the retail cost of this phone.

ok, got stock rom, but what about s-on, I guess the prob is i dont know what files i need. Also i will try and move this thread. no need to be rude dude, im just an android fan like you.
If anyone can point me in the direction of an s on guide with working files, i would be extremely greatful

China Local Huawei Smartwatch How to Flash to English

Hi fellow users,
Im quite in a dilemma,
bought my watch from China and when i came home its set in Chinese.
Did a factory reset, still no language selection
Neither does it have a wifi
i saw others have these functions, how can i flash to their rom?
Has anyone successfully done this?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Hope someone post guides here and also where to get the Rom

Hi I Ve bought a huawei smart watch last week in Shanghai and l have the same issue.
So I would like to change the limited Chinese android system to a "normal" one.
Assuming I'm not an expert user I ask u the easiest way to do it.
