yup...definetely yes. my trick need a rooted device to be done (lol)
some issue i have faced with AD-HOC
when u lose connection with adhoc device u r unable to find any network until restarting ur device
but it work perfect with no limit when u setup adhoc connection from pc manually
if u used some software like virtual access point it will be limited internet speed
you may try using my method...I think its available somewhere here

i've tried some solutions, with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1806937 i could see my ad-hoc in the wi-fi menù something like this (*)MyWifi
but when i've tried to connect to this net i just couldn't get the connection.
Anyone can help me?

i want to share pc(win 7/10) or iMac(10.11.6) internet with my s9 (android 8.0) by usb cable not with wifi. I know i can create wifi hotspot on pc then use it on my mobile but it is not possible at my current workspace. Phone is not rooted, please help!
My conection is good.but i try again and again its just showing that.am i the only one have this problem?or the server is down?can someone clarify to me?im on miuipro v9.5.6
