mClock templates for SGSIII (xhdpi) - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

Hi all,
I was wanting to get some juicy mClock skins for my SGS3, but due to the uber screen res there's not much out there (that I could find anyways) that doesn't look tiny when rendered on our phones.
I was thinking I could tweak some existing ones to work on the xhdpi screen. Can anyone tell me how you work out what size to do it in so that it's sharp and not blurry or pixelated? Any other tips would be awesome too. Or if you know where some xhdpi templates are, please let us know!

how to make panorama backgrounds?

hey folks,
can anyone tell me and everyone else how to make a proper panorama background? since rotastrain uploaded his new customization (big thanks... i appreciate your work you improve my touch experience so much!) and not everyone might be comftortable with the red heart background i just wanted to ask which size such a picture needs.
i cannot open the manila files that are responsible for the panorama pictures. how to open them? and are their any good tools picture editors for free on the internet?
i would like to make some backgrounds by myself and i'm looking forward that there will be more choices on different backgrounds and colors like in the diamond forum!
best regards max
hey fikachu,
i will be uploading a video tutorial in this thread today or tomoro.reserved for tuotorial.
thank you for the appreciation!

QVGA...

Hey guys. I know this isn't G1 related, but we have had some developers working hard on porting android unto the Herald phone and it hit me that all the phones that are porting android are using the default HVGA skins) that I know off... since that's what the emulator does when you use a QVGA res...
I figured, if anyone could help theme something android related, this would be the guys. So, is anyone willing to help us change the default theme (or maybe the hero theme) into a qvga theme? (No worries about signing it or how to flash it as it would be built into the ROM.)
Thanks guys!
what would you need done?
not quite sure what you mean with HVGA and QVGA when it comes to the theme itself. they are mostly .png 8bit RGB
but if you can tell me exactly what needs to be done, i can do my best on it.

Click to collapse
The size of all the icons and buttons are a little too large. I'll take some pictures and post them in a few.
Ok, so the DPI was changed from the default 160 to 115 and it has made a huge difference in everything. Even then, the dialer still overlaps a little...
The phone seems to place them on the correct place, so I'm thinking we can always just make the dialer icons smaller and it will look ok.

default slideshow wallpapers

Does anyone have or know how to get the default slide show wallpapers that I think come with sense (the girl in the white dress, the dog, various sceneries, two other ones with girls in glasses)? These are the only ones I can remember so far, and I'm pretty sure there are more. I like some of the wallpapers and would like to include them into a slideshow with other images, but I'm not able to find these images.
Thank you in advance for helping me.

resolution for wallpaper on epic

I searched for this and only found information on other phones...
What is the exact wallpaper resolution size for the epic. I made a cross and scripture that I set to 480x800 originally which is pretty small. I made it to fit the bootscreen for the modification that Rodderik came up with. Now I wanted to try and make it my wallpaper but it forces me to crop it way too small. I would think the 480x800 would be small enough but it's not. I have no wiggle room so I need the exact resolution that it wants.
Thanks!
***sigh***
980 X 800 in case someone else looks this up.
960x800
10/char
Wallpaper
So I created a wallpaper at 980X800 which works, however when you flip the phone and get landscape it loses quite a bit of the picture. Is there a trick to this? It doesn't seem to be a problem with most wallpapers.
unless its in a "and I'm likely quoting this wrong" a .9.png fromat it WONT scale right on landscape.. and I'm thinking that a background wont anyway unless there is a mod to the framework.apk
Hmmm... I think you're right. I'll post back with my findings and try to thank you since I can't in the app.
png
So gimp (which people use who theme) does save in png format, but I cannot find the .9 business. I'll test png and see if it helps at all, but I'm sure the .9 format is necessary. You probably have to incorporate two different resolutions into the same file and reference it somehow.

Wallpaper archive seperated by color?

Hey guys
If youre as ocd as me than you all spend an unnecessary amount of time looking for the perfect wallpaper in the exact or slightly bigger resolution
Finding these wallpapers is difficult. Theres a plethora of sites but only one (wallbase) organize it by colour instead of category
When i fancy my phone up ill match everything to a coloured theme. So i ask.
Does anyone know where to get wallpapers in our exact resolution that is organized by colour?
If not can you at least post some white wallpapers
Thanks
