[Q] Photo Shphere photos - improving GPS accuracy with EXIF? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi clever people of XDA!
Is there a way to alter the Exif of a photosphere and get it back on your phone so it's seen as a photosphere not just a panorama?
I have tried the following:
alter GPS to be more accurate in 2 exif editors, put pano file back on phone, no longer viewable in photosphere viewer (or uploadable to Maps) but will upload to Google+ and can be scrolled around like a sphere
open in Photoshop to check Exif, done nothing with it but re-saved it, no longer viewable in photosphere viewer (or uploadable to Maps) but will upload to Google+ and can be scrolled around like a sphere
taken off phone, put back on phone (done nothing at all) but it was in "Download" rather than "camera" album, worked fine and could be viewed in photosphere viewer
is there any way I can alter the GPS to be more accurate on my existing and future spheres to make my Google Streetview contributions more accurate?
any help appreciated

anyone?

I really wanna know the same...
A other Idea from me is: Make 360° Pictures with a DSLR, then upload it to "Photo sphere". I`m not so happy with the cellphone (stitching) quality.
Would be cool to build like a Java uploader who simulates a Android 4.2 phone...

v4 contact photos bug?

Just been trying to take some contact photos with the new V4 rom, they dont get saved atall. Not to a contact or onto the disk. Once its taken it just vanishes?
Also when browsing images using the viewer clicking "Camera" doesnt do anything.
Anybody got some nifty registery hack to fix it. Ide like to fill up my contact photos for the cube but ones taken with the normal camera are huge files and look odd when shrunk down so much!
Thanks
Ryan
Same problem here
Also saw it with mine too. After tryng tht and starting camera with the hardware key showed, camera initialisation error.May be some gurus will help us out.
Yes, it appears the camera is broken, I can not open any pictures I have taken, not just contact photos.
In have just reset my device to see if I can find a work-around and it is now stuck on the welcome screen.....
Camera problems
Problems I have with the camera are:
- Contact pictures are not saved (so you can't use them)
- GPS foto's still not working
- foto's and video's are stored in the seem folder
- when you make a movie the movie is not showing under album (but it is in the folder)
- when you try to play a recorded video you receive an error saying "the source filter for this file could not be loaded"
Does anyone know if there is a cab file for the camera or who to contact to get these problems fixed???
Trying Fix now..Wait me..!

[Q] Use of geotagged photos

Hi,
I have never understood the concepts of geotagging properly.
In the Idiot Phone you can see the pictures based on the geotag right,
Since the WP7 has geotagging how do I see the pictures based on it.
Is it only visible by some apps or is there a way of seeing all my pictures on a map based on the geotag values
Thanks

[Q] Photo zooming

Haven't been able to find this answer anywhere so maybe someone here knows - is there a way (another app or otherwise) to zoom in to photos without limitations?
WP7's photo gallery app on my Lumia 800 is stopping me from zooming past a certain point. But it's a really high res picture and I want to zoom in to see further detail. It just won't let me.
Anyone know how I can change the photos, app, or phone itself to get this kind of limit removed?
Try one of the countless photo editors/enhancers from the marketplace (sorry, can't point you to exact app). If you'll have no luck and able to sideload apps, I can write a tiny utility for you.

[Q] Does anybody know where the second rear cam saves its raw pictures or depth maps?

Hey,
is there any possibility to access the raw pictures of the second rear camera of the HTC One M8? I know, that it is used for calculating the depth maps for enabling various fancy functions in the foto editor like Ufocus. As I can apply these functions not only directly after I shot a photo but even days or weeks after the photo has been shot, the raw data of the second cam must be saved somewhere in the device.
Does anybody know, where these data is saved? in the file system? which path? publicly accessible or will I need a rooted phone?
Thanks and regards,

How to backup live photos from the G7

Hi,

I decided to try out the live photos function in the camera app as it could be fun to have some short video clips when taking pictures of our dog etc

So, I take the picture and it works well to watch the picture and the video in the inbuilt gallery app. However, the photo backup to Google Photos and Flickr just includes the picture and not the video (or, at least, I can't see the videos on Google Photos or Flickr, it might be included in the uploaded file somehow?)

I tried transferring the picture to my pc too for backup there, but same story again, can only see the picture, not the video.

Anyone know if there's a way to fix this so the video part doesn't disappear when I have to free up space on the phone?
I tried deleting a live photo from the phone and redownload it to the phone to see if I then could view the live part in the gallery again. I could not
I've tried googling for a solution to this for LG phones, but I can't find a thing, just a bunch of stuff for iPhone and Pixel phones.
Got a solution of sorts: If I view the video part in the gallery I get an option in the lower right corner to save it as a video and if I do that, that video uploads to Google Photos etc
