goodbye htc. hello samsung note 2

Been an htc user for so long, was eyeing the one x+ for tmobile initially, but after another exculsivity with at&t, i said thats it with htc. So i took the plunged and got the note 2, grey for me and white for the wife. Couldnt be happier. My one s and amaze going out the door now lol.
Anyway, what do you guys use for launcher? I think that using the same default layout for smaller screens in the note 2 is not good, as 5.5 inches can definitely display more that a 5x4 grid. At the same time i dont want to change the lcd density as i dont want the incompatibilities with market and some apps.
And will the spen work with other launchers the same way with touchwiz?
Btw, luvin this gadget more and more.

Im using apex and I think it's great. I use it to hide all the bloat apps I don't use.

I honestly didnt know that. Ive only used nexus devices and the s3 and now the note 2 where my first non nexus device and I put apex launcher day one so never got to play much with touchwiz launcher. Thanks for the tip.

will the s-pen functions still work with a different launcher?
anyway, i wrote this reply using the s-pen handwriting recognition. last time I had such a phone with the same capability was with the Sony Ericsson p1i and P910 before that

Nova Launcher all the way for me... Paid version is close to perfect and can do pretty much anything any other launcher can do... Just my opinion though...

Thanks!! Did you change lcd density? For me I think 4 column icons is a waste with the big screen. Does nova allow you to resize the icon size? I think only golauncher does that, but go launcher is a bit bloated imo.

On nova launcher you can choose how many rows and columns you want on your homescreen without changing the LCD density. It does resize the applications and does a plethora of other features as well.....
I would suggest you buy it.
Source: Purchased it and have always been happy and thought it to be the best app worth the money since you use it all the time.

Help getting smaller icons 5x5 5x6

Like the title says. I'm annoyed by the 4x4 that the Note 2 currently has. I would like to get at least 5x5 icons. Anybody know how to do this. My note 2 isn't rooted but if this features requires it then I'll go ahead and root this just for that. I'd appreciate it someone could walk m through this. I really like the stock TouchWiz so I wouldn't want to change that. I found Nova Launcher and Apex launcher so be a little laggy.

U can change the DPI thou for that

If you look in the sprint notell forum there is a ROM called synergy. They have different tw launchers. They should work for you.

Note II - how to get 5x5 app drawer

Hi,
I saw a galaxy note 1 today with a non custom rom having a 5x5 apps(home screen)! I have a Note 2 and I only have 4 apps in a row. can someone tell me how to get this on my note 2?

Can anyone port Android 4.3 Galaxy S4 launcher?
Some launchers port from Android 4.2.2 version of Galaxy S4 but those weren't stable on MJ9/MK6.

Here is the link to S4 Keyboard and Launcher for Galaxy SIII MJ9/MK6. I have tested it on both roms and it is working perfectly fine with no problem.

I know it but it cause high RAM usage and graphical glitches sometimes. Also laggy sometimes.
And android 4.3 launcher of S4 little different. 4.3 port will be perfect for us.

Guys I made this theme, transforms ported Note 3 launcher to S4 look and replaces icons:
1. Flash any ported Note 3 Launcher (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2461583)
2. Flash the theme .zip in attachments
3. Boot up, see if indicators and tabs changed.

Thanks for your work.. I've been tested on Note 3 launcher Home magazine.. its look like S4 now.. but only homescreen.. not for drawer.. its no changing.. Still have 5x5 drawer layout.. its look great when drawer become 4x5 layout..

Hi, i have my s3 with 4.4.2 Note 2 port ROM, but I don't like S2 launcher and S5 launcher, I really like S4 or Note 3 launcher, I tried Note 3 launcher from 4.3 ROM but all time FC or the status bar is not transparent its black.
Please someone has S4/Note 3 launcher port to s3 4.4.2?
Or someone can port the launcher?
