A big problem occurred after re flashing
Hi guys!
I have first flashed a new rom a year ago.Since then I have only problems with this DESIRE BRAVO.A week ago I started to try other versions of rom, but no results.Actually the problem is that the clock loses synchronization ,does not stay connected to the GSM network ,batery drains fast.
At this time i tried different rom's ,diffrent radios and RIL's.I realy don't know what else to doo.
I have diseble the WCDMA now i am on GSM only and i dont have any problems with the network but the internet....is very slow.
If one of you have any ideas...Please help
Hello all, firstly i apologise if this has been answered before, i did search but couldn`t really find a definitive answer!
I have a HTC Desire which at the moment has Gingerbread (2.3.3) on. This is the one direct from HTC which i have restored via a nandroid to see if the problem persists. The phone is rooted and s-off (clockwork mod recovery) and i have tried out a few ROM`s but the problem seems to persist.
The problem is with the Network Mode function whereby you have the 3 options, WCDMA only, GSM only or GSM/WCDMA auto. It seems i have to have this option set at GSM only for the phone to function properly. If i set it to Auto it seems that as soon as the bars drop so does the connection and i am unable to make or receive calls
When on GSM only i can access the internet but obviously not 3G so i only get an E above the arrows.
I`m in the UK on Vodafone and my area says it has good coverage for 3G which i can confirm by using other phones.
Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be, i like my Desire and would love to be able to use the full potential.
Happy Christmas and New Year to all...
p.s. If you need more info, i`m only to happy to provide it.
What happens when you set network-type to WCDMA only?
Is your radio up-to-date?

What's your problem with WCDMA only? And which do you mean with Exgo? Please write the whole name.
a fix maybe
hi mattchur try this code as if you are making a phone call,*#*#4636#*#*,in there are a list of commands you can change gsm/wcdma,it may help you fella
Thanks for the replies guys, it seems i have made some headway into the issue!
I tried using WCDMA only as suggested by MatDrOiD (thanks for that) but the reception seemed a bit flaky...
Using the *#*#4636#*#* which i knew about (but thanks burty39) iv`e been trying out the different options (had a few issues with GSM/CDSM auto (prl) don`t do this ) it`s seems when i choose the option "WCDMA preferred" and things seem to work fine for now.
I`m getting an H (HSPDA) when connecting which is at least 3G i think and i`m able to make and recieve calls.
The network bars don`t seem to high though (2 or 3 bars), maybe i`m just in a poorish reception area despite what Vodafone say.
certified noob, is the Network app from the Market just a short cut to the above? Could you explain more about the Exgo thing please...
Cheers.
Did you check wether your radio is up-to-date?
Sorry Mat forgot about that, meant to include it in my post (bit to much booze yesterday).
Anyway i`m pretty sure my radio is the latest, details are,
Android Version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23
Kernal version: 2.6.35.10-gf43272
[email protected]nd18-2 #1
Still seems a bit patchy now and then, if i select GSM only (EDGE) my signal strengh is -75dBm 22asu (full bars) and all is fine, if i stick it on WDCMA preffered (HSDPA) i get ~99-107dBm and 2-6asu (with 1 to 3 bars) and can occasionally access the net albeit slowly.
At the moment i`m just staying in GSM only, at least i know it`s working then.
It`s frustrating as i stick it on WCDMA preffered and one minute it`s fine, the next pages time out!
Cheers
No problem. Yes, you use the newest radio.
Any idea how to enter the *#*#4636#*#* mode in an Incredible S? I just get the Customize Quicksettings screen on this?
Please ask in section for HTC Incredible S.

Im having issues with my wifi signal on cm7.2 When I'm in my computer room perfect signal as soon as I move away from router signal drops to two bars. I was hoping wifi signal issues were going to get fixed in 7.2 had the same issue in 7.1. Anyone having similar issues? On Glite 2.0.1 I had perfect signal all the time. I'm using a Dual antena 802.11n router.

Device: Huawei Prism

P.S. Everything else works great. I love it. Please help!
Hi all,
I've been searching this morning on here for issues around Cyanogenmod and LTE, and I've tried following some ideas and help on here, but I'm struggling to get a solution. Cyanogenmod updated itself this morning to CM11. I updated GAPPS and everything is running ok. The issue is that I no longer get LTE connection. I am in an LTE area, on an LTE provider (o2 in the UK).
I deleted my APN's and got O2 to resend the info, and it all looks like it should look (I think) but there's still no LTE.
Is this just an issue with CM11, or is there something more than I can do? Do I need to roll back to CM10 to get LTE? I've read there might be bluetooth issues too.
A lot of whats in this thread seems to be for "Rogers" network in the US, so I'm a bit nervous of doing anything that might screw the phone up anymore than necessary....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947376&page=5
Is anyone getting LTE working on CM11? Any help would be massively appreciated if you are. Otherwise I guess I'll wait for further updates.
Thanks all.
EDIT:
For the record, I reflashed, reupdated o2 settings, and rebooted and now get LTE signal. Should have tried before posting. My apologies. Please lock/delete thread. TIA
So you're back on cm 10.2? Or does it work now on cm11?
I'm using CM11 nightlies on my GT-I9195 LTE and LTE has always been working fine.
okay that's weird. i got an upgrade from my provider that includes LTE up to 16 mbit/s... but my s4 mini never connects with 4G...
it wasn't a problem because with 3G i reached up to 14 mbit/s...
but so theres the problem with my provider, not with my phone.
I have been using Beanstalk 4.4.4 for E980 for quite a while and my phone has been hehaving well. But lately I can't make or receive any phone calls if my network is on LTE. I know that voice is on 3G (HSPA) but when I am on LTE and I make a phone call, the signal switches to H and then it disconnects after I hear one ring. Also, when I receive a call and I am on LTE, once I hit answer, the call disconnects. I then did factory reset and also flashed other CM11 based roms such as Vanir and Blissstalk and the issue persists. I searched on the web and it seems to be an issue with CM11 users with ATT such as Nexus 5 and one plus one users. The rumor is that ATT is experimenting VoLTE in the northeast area (I live in NYC) and that there is a problem in CM11 in that situation. My wife's S4 doesn't have this problem with touchwiz version of kitkat. I can fix this problem by choosing 3G as my preferred network but then I lose LTE speed in data.
So are there any other people experiencing the same problem? Is there a CM fix that I could flash to avoid this problem?
try this
You try changing preferred network to 3G from LTE, and maybe that should fix the issue.
I'm using e980 with CM11 snapshot m11, and starts about a month ago, my phone starting to loose the connection to the mobile network regularly. It happens when ever I reboot the phone, and I have to reboot the phone 2-3 times before it's able to connect again. I switch to the cm11 nightly 3 days ago, as of right now I have been able to connect to the mobile network each time I reboot my device. I saw a few complaints regarding this issue on the cyanogenmod forum. Just thought I share the problem.
