I've disabled all of mine except those i recognize. I would really prefer that it would ask me to allow it whenever one popped up. One of these seems to allow Google Play, but its not obvious which one it is (which is stupid).
Does anyone know which one (or group) is for Google Play?
Thanks

I've searched and read quite a bit on this subject but I just can seem to find a definitive answer and I'm hoping one of you can help.
I read a brief article about phone security, in it the author was quite firm in saying that all SD cards should be encrypted. He said that this would stop any malicious apps from being able to read data elsewhere on the card (maybe it should be done to the phone too?)
Can any of you guys confirm this? Or maybe suggest another way for me to protect myself against nasty apps? I used to use avast, should I install it again?
Thanks in advance folks

(For reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886969 )
I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to get the Orange Quick Tap Wallet for S3 to work with my note 2.
Firstly, I downloaded the app itself, which told me I needed the Quick Tap sim. I ordered the sim and put it in my phone and the wallet worked, but didn't show the barclaycard application. I remedied this by changing my build.prop to match that of the S3, and this has allowed me to get through most of the rest of the process, with the app appearing on services available to install, launching the website, signing up. But the app won't send to my phone.
Any ideas?

Usually editing the build.prop to show a supported device will allow it to show in the Play list. Don't know about working though.
Hey guys,
Ive tried to search on the site but didnt get any hits back.
Is there a way to hack SVoice, something of the order of Siri Proxy, so we can pre-program some commands?

Cant change the commands in S-Voice as far as i know but there are some pretty good alternatives like utter which have that functionality
Try Voice Answer from the play store, it's pricey (just under $4) but it has access to the largest databases outside the siri servers.

Does anyone know if there is currently a working solution for any type of SMS integration for Google Voice?
As we all know, the official app does A HORRIBLE job as a messaging app. I don't think they could have possibly designed it any worse if they tried. And apparently the latest update to it has broken all of the integration workaround apps as well.
This is a major issue for me because I do ALL of my texting through my google voice number - I never give out my actual cell phone number to anyone. So until I can find a better way, I feel like my $600 smartphone is a Motorola StarTac.
Can anyone PLEASE help with this??? I would be incredibly grateful
