Installation:
Extract apk file
Install as normal app
Go to settings-application-manage-all-market
Tap clear data, tap uninstall upadates.
Go to old market app and select old market and reboot.
Done.

Through root explorer go to sysytem/app and rename vending.apk to vending.apk1
Rename downloaded file to vending.apk and paste it in system/app thru rootxplorer
Ser permissions to rw-r-r

If problem in opening then in setting/app/market clear data and retry..

Market doesn't update because the market circulating isn't an actual final release.
Yup..anyways d old market is better after doing tests..
I noticed the new market downloads one by one and not simantaniously..like the old one..and old one looks and feels better anyways..good tapping than swiping..

You should add those gapps version are only made to work on 2.3.5 to avoid misunderstandings...I know u state cm7...but you know how we noobs are....;-)

I don't know why the apps shouldn't work with older (2.3.x) builds of CM7.
In fact I also use an nightly which is "only" 2.3.4.

Some very recent apps may rely on functionality that do not exist in earlier versions. Less of an issue with 2.3.4 to 2.3.5 than 2.3.3 (or earlier) to 2.3.4 though.
Don't expect all of a 2.3.5 gapps package to work flawlessly on a 2.3.3 system. AFAIK all current CM7 builds are 2.3.5 based now as of a couple of days ago.
The full package has been updated: gapps-gb-full-20110814-signed.zip
Theres a newer version on that forum gaps 0815 but it has an OLD version of Gtalk......

Yes, I went back to the June version as base.
goo-inside even removed the newer version.
The problem is that the version of Talk with video chat only runs on ARMv7.
just one question, i m using ligthning 6.1 rom and after instal the zip package my map applui desappear and i cannot download it on market.

this google apps are for cyanogen mods roms..in ur lightning rom there already are google apps pre-installed..

I tried to install gapps from arco's and i am now able to download apps from play store.. just thought if anyone else willing to try..
Edit: it only works first time..
Apart from the inability to download apps frm googlr play, this rom is rock solid, the mod that came with aokp works mostly, battery wise still testing.
Does this based on alpha 7?

I know.. I've used both version .. and odexed version is more smoother than the deodex one .. also .. many time people deodex a rom for theme it .. but you can use cm7 theme with lewa .. so .. why deodex ...

There is no google play. many apps still are Chinese.

im using this rom a long time but yesterday when i tried to turn on one of my installed app got the information "application is not installed"

Hmm its quiete clear i hope, thats a so hard bareboned rom, that the most things ar e not included (Calculator, Calendar, CMParts, ...)
I included things from galaxy ace aosp build! In Settings CMParts will FC, i will re-include it later, but for now all stock things are working (Phone, MMS/SMS, Broser, all hardware like Camera, just downloads, livewallpapers, Superuser, CMScreenshot, Contact, Gallery, etc ...)
If the Rom works (All of the Apps and nothing fc´s, i will provide a aroma package where u can choose ur favorite apps to re-include!)

okay, here's what I've done...
tested stock stuff:
- browser > OK
- contacts > OK (google contacts also)
- gallery > OK
- file manager > OK
- messaging > OK
- settings > OK (except CM settings - as you mentioned)
- camera > OK (but rotating landscapes when saving)
installed:
- s2e > WORKS FINE
- titanium backup > WORKS FINE
- gapps > WORKS FINE
anyway... this ROM is smooth, stable and super lightweight... BIG UP DQiB! keep going on with this work! THX! :good:

and see its a pre alpha version,not even alpha hence wont be good for daily use,,,let the development begin

Yeah, for now I found out there is no way to install something, when you try to install through google play it just freezes (back button unfreezes it), and show nothing.

try installing any apk which u have already downloaded,,,and please check the root access too

How could I install something from .apk if there is no explorer, right now Im making .zip with soma applications like Titanium backup...

this build is working on p700 and p 705 it`s the same build working on more types of devices

There is no root access, tried disabling root, enabling and all that but nothing helps.
