Swype problems..

Hey guys I need. Some help....so I like swype on froyo cuz I got use to the fast writting and stuff and I was wondering how can I get that for every rom I flash...I've tried the markets *slideit keyboards* yeah they aren't quite like swype...I've also tried taking out the apk file from backup and installing it but it never work either the swype don't wok or it forcecloses..so inconclusion can someone please update me on how to do this so swype works..

Go to www.beta.swype.com and register as a beta user. That's all you need to do.

Swype works fine on Gingerbread, its what I use.
If the Swype APK is pulled from another ROM, it might be the wrong version, and not compatible with GB. Easiest way to get Swype is to just sign up at the Swype beta website like the previous response stated. Then it will send the installer to your phone, which will install Swype, and you will be good to go.

am i missing something, when i try to install swype it tells me the screen size is not compatible. any one else having a problem.

[Q] Ics Gapps Install on evo 4g

hey i have like 3 separate ics alpha roms. And all three need the gapps install to sync the google accounts that i have...Sadly when i install it i keep receiving a gaddamn nfc chip force close notification that never ever goes away, and it just keeps popping up, making the rom unusable...is there a way i can remove the nfc driver from the gapps zip so that it doesnt mount?

Got a couple if views but no responses....its ok I just unzipped removed the nfc Apk and rezipped it

[Request] S-Note or S-Memo working copies?

Has anyone been able to get either of these apps to install AND function properly on our phone?
I was able to get SMemo installed, and I could open it, but as soon as I clicked the icon to create a new note it would FC...
Maybe someone could port or grab the S3 version and modify it to our screen size?

So I was able to get SMemo Lite working from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687243&page=3
This allowed me to "write" in apps that allow it such as My Story. However, it didn't give me the actual SMemo app. I assumed since I could now write, if I installed the app it would work...not so. It installs, but FCs everytime I open it. Anyone have any more progress than this?
I am running stock, rooted FE22 with TW5.

So is nobody else interested in getting SMemo to work?

[Q] ICS AOSP keyboard

Anybody know where to find an AOSP ICS keyboard apk or similar to install on our phone? Currently running official ICS, with root and swiftkey isn't cutting it anymore, nor is swype or samsung keypad. Already googled it and searched XDA and couldn't find anything

Download CM9 and get the LatinIME.apk and place it on the system/app partition. Then, go to clockwork recovery and run Darkside.Cache

Try searching ice cream sandwich keyboard in the playstore. I have one it works great.

Thanks, I'll try that. As for the ics keyboard app, tried it and it didn't work properly for me. When I ran the darkside beta based on gs2 ics it let me do voice typing and as I talked it would type during instead of waiting until I was done. Trying to get that back.

got my latinIME.apk, tried pasting it to /system/app and it says not enough free space, any ideas?

Did you change permissions using any root explorer app. Permissions should be set like this..

would a permission change fix the complete instability that i got from trying to use it? Thought i was going to have to do a full wipe and restore on the phone, it kept locking up every 10 seconds trying to open keyboard

Ok, so tries changing the permissions and doing a darkside cache wipe, now settings work but the keyboard still crashes out a vary few seconds when keyboard tries to open. Any ideas?
