[SOLVED] Roboto Font Anyone?

So I see a lot of mention of the Roboto Font for other phones but nothing for ours. Anyone have an .apk for this? Specifically for CM7.1?
It's not an apk, it's a ttf file. There's flashable zips around, just search Roboto flashable zip.

hey great thanks. found what I needed. appreciate it.
In case anyone else asks, the app font installer makes it really easy to choose between 100's of fonts.

+1. This is a great app. I like the INFECTED font
Or this...
You can also change your fonts in rom toolbox, I think it's actually the same font installer app. You have to download the fonts you want first however, but rom toolbox makes it easy to install them and does a bunch of other cool stuff.
the roboto font apk is on droid-life, under downloads. I flashed it yesterday, looks great.

Thanks for the tip! Flashed from there too.
Looking good; easier to read.

Hmmm.. looks a little odd to me. Not as crisp and clear as Stock Sense font. Kind of reminds me of Comic Sans. It's got a little bit of angle that makes it look cartoony...
Okay, I'm warming up to it, but it's very small at times. Anyone else experiencing this?

Size consistent throughout here.

I didn't like using it because on my gmail it made all the lines bold instead of just the new email headers. Maybe its because I don't run the stock density setting? Not sure.

Fonts

I installed cm7 and was running the ICS theme no problem, so then I took it to the next level and installed the roboto font, just to find out I don't like it.... it just doesn't fit my phone as I hoped it would. Is there anyway someone could post the stock text. .ttf files for me to switch back? Thanks

Font installer in the market has Droid Sans as an option. It's called "stock"
If you used the font changer app, you should be able to day go to defaults or something like that, and it reverts.

Thanks guys, I just pulled the filed from cm7 in root explorer and moved them into the .fontchanger folder.

Any Palm fans want their Pre font back? (Prelude font)

I missed this font... Please wipe cache/dalvic before Flashing.
ENJOY
Take it you have to be rooted to install...
Screenie its been a long time since the pre

Tried it, but sent my phone screaming into an endless bootloop. Too bad, because I loved my little Pre.

Did you wipe cache/dalvik? I also placed this in other forums. Based on number of downloads there is 2% chance you bootloop and you are the only one. wonder why

Yes I did. That's the first thing I do after flashing a mod.

You need to do it before you flash.

I tried it before, tried it after.. I tried it before and after. Now the font flashes and phone reboots, but doesn't show up on the phone.
I'm over and done with it.

Flashed but don't see the new font in the options...
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Unless its a flip font, flashable fonts replace Roboto as the Default system font, therefore it won't show in options as anything other than "Default" and you'll need to install a Roboto flip font apk or reflash Roboto.ttf to get it back as your stock font
I like to break stuff!
Aha.. Thank you.

Any screenshots? Forgot what the Pre fonts looked like....

Pauldiddy's flip fonts can be downloaded and installed without being flashed. The webos font style is coconut medium in his rar pack.
I don't want just the font, I want my WebOS back!
This will do for now though. Thanks!

Font change

Has anyone tried to change the font with Rom Toolbox already? Will it give a bootloop?
Nexus ONE
Don't know but I did noticed they changed the Flipfonts. Xda users were making free Flipfonts and monotype imaging didn't think too highly of that.....

FWIW, I'm not sure what the difference would be between your way and my way, but I use the iFont app to download fonts and put them in the built in font switcher. Works without rooting or restarting.

Galaxy Note 3 default font

hey there, a little help needed with an issue i'm having. I'm not a total noob, more of a longtime lurker, so anyways i used "Font Installer *Root*" to change the system font on my sgn3. It prompted me to make a backup of my default font first to which I selected 'yes'. Turns out that didnt backup my system font but i was a notification that i should and that the 'yes' was just to continue the font changing process and not to backup. So now i desperately wanna resort to the default samsung font, what can i do? i do have a nandroid backup but really dont want to wipe it just because of this, i'm on a rooted n900T on 4.3 stock rom/kernel, are there any other ways to get back the default touchwiz font?
Can't you just change it from the settings? Under font

You should be able to do what Chuk mentioned under display/font. You can also try ifont on the playstore, a free app which has hundreds of built in fonts (stock included).

Sounds good...do you happen to know what is the name of the touchwiz default font? Don't mean to seem nitpicky ,it just feels weird using my phone without it, in hindsight I should have never changed it

Think it's either droidsans.ttf or roboto.ttf just download ifont than hit the local tab, than choose to restore factory default font, it's stored in your system automatically so it will work.

The custom font I selected from font installer became the new 'default' so restoring just brings me back to it that custom font. Thanks however,I will look up those fonts you suggested
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Make a new nandroid, restore the old nandroid, backup the font, copy it out, restore the nandroid, copy the font back in.
Frank
Can't you long press the home key and go to "clear defaults"?
