Sense Crashing One X - HTC One X

Searched forum to no avail.
Running Android 4.0.4 and Sense 4.1 on Three UK handset.
Started a few weeks ago, when using Flipboard app, that Sense crashed when closing app. Now it is happening again all apps, Internet, in fact everything.
I had this issue on 1.28 or 1.29, but update fixed it. Now it's back. Be a great help if somebody could shed some light on this.
Thanks.

I am getting the same sort of problems although it isn't crashing all the time. Also on Three UK, standard stock and unrooted 1.29 Do you have lots of apps installed and have very little internal storage free as I think this is causing my problems? I have lots of problems with insufficient memory when trying to install or update apps. I used app2sd to move apps to phone storage but I seem to still always have very little free internal memory but 13gb free on phone storage.
I want to do a complete factory wipe and reinstall / setup apps to see if it resolves it but I think I will wait for JB before doing this due to the hassle and time it will take me.
Thanks

Loads of apps. 8gb Internal left. 1gb other. Done a wipe/reflash. No different.
Can't work out why it's happening. It's the latest in a list. Cannot see myself touching HTC again. My Desire was almost faultless. The One X is great, but only when it fancies. Shame.

next time buy HTC, not branded

You have many running apps and this causes Android to start killing apps when it needs more memory. I guess it's the carrier bloatware. It has nothing to do with Sense "crashing". Try to identify which apps are not needed and disable them if possible.

Completely agree, brands are ****... Cause of the CID, very late upgrades and these sort of problems

Persistent Low on space - corruption of NAND?

My desire z has persistently been showing the low on space warning for the past week. From my search I have found tthat a lot of people solved this issue by doing a factory reset (which I am planning to do, reluctantly of course...) but I have also read some instances where people have mentioned that this could be because of corruption of the memory. What is your take on this? If my internal memory is corrupt i'd want to know sooner rather than later so I can send it into warranty.

No takers?

Are you getting this error in the market? Usually when I get it I just try to reinstall the app and it works.

If it's a market error, you can usually clear the market's cache from settings to fix it.
Only time i seen this error is like the above posters said, when trying to install something in the market. Definitely a software issue if thats the case.

[Q] insufficient storage available, installation error

my gf is having this problem on her phone, and i'm only finding solutions here for rooted phones and she can't root it because of the warranty. do you have some other solutions for her problem?
She's just going to have to move as many apps as possible to the SD.
Go Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>On SD Card
Then tick everything available.

she moved everything she could and she doesn't have that much apps, and still having same problem..
is there any other solution?
I don't think so, other than being selective over what she has installed.
My girlfriend was in the same boat until I rooted her phone and flashed a new ROM with a2sd support.

Photographs and music, Facebook friends synced to contacts, and web pages not cleared eat memory, clear caches as well.
sent using tapatalk
Also, Gmail and Contacts chew up memory like 20mb each easily.
Another thing to remember is that you have to restart the phone for most of the savings to show up after changes. It does help to restart it about once per day to keep the caches clean, etc.
This worked for me. No S-OFF needed.

Disk usage reports "System Data" consumes 13965MiB

Hi,
I just downloaded the app DiskUsage and out of my 32GB of space, I only have 1.6gb of space left. My music is only 8-9gb and I was kind of wondering where most of the space was used. Although I have around 50 apps installed none of it is more than 200mb in size as I only have 5 games installed.
When I used Disk usage, it says the "System Data" uses up 13gb of my space. I'm kind of wondering what it contains, and if it contains dead data from the stock Android ICS that was originally installed in my phone. I'm using Android revolution HD, and my device is currently rooted. Is there another way of finding out which files are in my system and how to clean up useless data?
Thanks!
You really need to look around. Seriously the thread about the problem you have is on the page. You seriously must be slow or have no regard for XDA rules. Get it together.

bug? factory reset.
Does anyone else have this problem? I just synced everything to my phone. Want to avoid a reset if possible.

update your hTC one X to latest firmware (eg: 1.29.xxx.xx) and it solved the missing space in HOX.

I tried checking for updates. It said its up to date. Is it because my phone is new.
And not yet in the system?

Did you transfer anything to your phone via USB. If you did check the LOST.dir folder, its probably full of useless files that you can delete

You haven't given us much to go on...
what is your current software version?
Your carrier may not have released the 1.29.xx.11 update yet.
If your software is NOT 1.29.XXX.11 (XXX being dependent on your carrier/region) then see this thread. In a nutshell: update and you will have problem fixed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630914
The latest firmware solves this.
Dial *#*#CHECKIN#*#* and then try to redownload firmware perhaps?

Just cause it's new doesn't mean it's up to date...

I had this same problem previous. The only way I could get round it was to:
1.Copy the contents of the SD Card on the computer.
2.Format SD Card in FAT32 (Standard format)
3. Copy the files back over.
This gave me my full space back and I haven't ran into the same problem.
It seems to be due to Android reserving mass amounts of space on the SD Card for some reason, but no true conclusion has been reached as to why. Some people get it. Some people don't.
But that should resolve the problem and stop it from occurring.
