Hey guys,
Any suggestions or ideas on any remote desktop app or termimal server app ?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Pocket Cloud if you want to hide what you are doing on the remote PC. No extra software required, just Remote Desktop turned on. Unpaid version is limited to 1 PC.
TeamViewer if you want what you are doing on the remote PC to be seen. Requires an ap to be running on PC in the background though. Free to use but you will get an annoying pop up message when exiting the program unless you connect using actual IP addresses.

I use xtralogic RDP. I like the screen as track pad feature.

Jump Desktop is the most amazing RDP program I've used on android. They have a free version which will work for most but I bought it just so it syncs after every flash plus to support the devs. Check it out.

I'm a fan of logmein
Long live the One X
I'm looking for one that will allow me to connect to France and the US. I used Hideman, which was a great app until it stopped working for me. Can't seem to find anything similar. I would welcome your suggestions. Thanks!

you can try: http://justfreevpn.com/
Another vote for HideMyAss or StrongVPN as it has both PPTP and OpenVPN with county selection.

Been using WiTopia for the past couple years. $69/year for multiple servers, unlimited bandwidth and pptp+l2tp+openvpn. If you want only one of the protocols,, they have cheaper plans available as well.
For app, you can manually add it in the vpn section or you can get the openvpn app from the market and set it up to use openvpn as well. There are several guides you can find on configuring openvpn on Android.

HideMan VPN

I use hideninja. It's not perfect but it's the cheapest (one time payment of about $5).

I am not able to connect to VPN using StrongVPN on Nexus 7 but it works fine on my phone. Did anyone experience the same problem? I am using latest stock firmware, rooted.
I'm able to use my PIA vpn with no issues so far.

same here..my private internet access VPN works fine
I, too, have problems with VPN. With the builtin VPN clients I can't connect but if I download a third-party PPTP client (I know, I know, not secure... I should be using OpenVPN or L2TP...). Haven't tried a third-party OpenVPN client because I don't feel like setting up the lockscreen password.
To the guys using pia how do you get the port its using?

It's set to use a random port automatically for both local and remote. No issues so far.
It might be worth mentioning I'm using PIA's own vpn app from the play store. On my phone I did it manually and had no issues that way, but since I got the new nexus I've just been using their app.

Built-in vpn is not able to connect... Seems like only vpn apps works.
I can't get in built VPN connecting on a variety of protocols either, but the app works fine (private internet access). It works OK, but noticeable lag on Netflix when compared to my PC. Any ideas?

I'm on strong vpn also and no issues using openvpn for android
