System error on stock return - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I keep getting a system error. I wanted return to stock so I can do a wipe resetting I made several back ups something everytime I try to restore it says system error it work before if any help or suggestions would help it's not the biggest problem I'm sure there's a way I can something and use Odin. Just maybe there is a messed up system file I'm currently using cm 10 m2 and everything else I backed up is smooth sailing.

[Q] HELP!!!!!! NEED A PROFESSIONAL!! error wiping data/formatting data in stock ics

BACK STORY: Im pretty noobish at this whole thing so thanx in advance to all for your help. So i was running the Official slim bean 3.1 rom for my sgh-t989 with no problems, after about a day and a half I would get a fc message saying whatever application for task i was doing (twitter, poweramp, etc) had stopped. after closing the app and trying to reopen it i would then get a fc message saying something to the affect of "process.gapps. has stopped working", at which point my screen was blank and nothing worked. so i opened up twrp 2.3.3 recovery and wiped my cache and dalvic, hoping to fix the issue. when done I would reboot and end up in a bootloop. I thought nothing of it (I planned to flash a new rom soon anyway) so i nandroid and then flash gsbean v11 and everything is fine. About a day and a half goes by and i start getting the same errors. At this point my noob angriness kicks in and i decide i should unroot back to stock ICS and start over. I unroot and the phone resets into a bootloop so i go into stock recovery and THIS IS WHERE MY PROBLEM BEGINS
PROBLEM: when im in stock recovery i try to data wipe/ factory reset to fix bootloop and i get the following error "E:failed to mount /efs (Invalid Argument) i get the same error when trying to wipe cache... is my phone bricked??
i appreciate all your help and support in this matter!

Unfortunately after doing a quick search it looks like many people who have a problem very similar to yours had to send the phone in for servicing.

Phone will not restore.

I was on ND8 and attempted to flash the CM 11 nightly after backing up. It failed with error 7. I wasn't thinking and just hit restore (even though I didn't need to). Whenever I restore it, the apps keeps crashing over and over again and I can't even open anything. I get messages saying this and this crashed. I need to restore because I have contacts on that nandroid that i'll never be able to restore. I have tried clearing the dalvik and it didn't seem to work. Advice?
Edit: By the way, I have an older backup and they both do the same thing. I've flashed many many ROMs and have never had an issue like this. UGH.
Hopefully somebody knows how I can make the restore work. I'm literally freaking out.

Try doing a full wipe (Data,System,Cache,Dalvik) and then restore it. That should fix it. It sounds like you never wiped the system and the two roms are going at it. Best of luck!

Weird automatic App installation after going back to stock

Hey Guys,
ive got some serious issues with my G3 (D855) after going back to stock.
After a CM13 nightly get bootlooping my device i decided to switch to AICP MM which was really stable at first time. I ve updated AICP with the newest nightly (dirtyflash) and then i get into bootloop again, but this time something really bad happened - i was able too boot into twrp but not able to copy files onto the phone - it seems like the device get frozen after a few seconds of copying - or maybe it get too hot, i dont know what was the reason, but i thought i will going back to stock to prevent issues like this in the future.
I downloaded the needed correct .tot and .dll from here and used this method: Click
Everything worked fine and Android was booting and then after Language selection the first error like "Couldn´t start script... because of the carrier...". After closing the first steps, my phone was installing automatic bloatware (about 100 apps) which i couldn´t stop.
This is a reason why i decided to try something else: I rooted the phone and installed TWRP again, because i have a stock nandroid backup which i wanted to restore.
Everything worked fine again but the same error after the language selection and the same bloatware that will be installed automatic.
Factory reset and still this issues.
Newest stock flashed with official LG Suite - still the same issues.
Newest .kdz flashed with Flashtool - still the same issues.
It seems the code to install this bloatware is stored somewhere but i can´t find out where.
Somebody know where it hides and how to delete it?
I would prefer delete everything from the phone and install everything again clean. (Hopefully without Bloat)
Any ideas?
Really nobody knows how to completely remove everything and then clean flash stock?
Me again - seems to be my very own thread
I´ve tried a few things (full wipe, factory reset, ..) but still these self installing apps, 4-5 freezes on stock per day, bad performance - it seems like a task is running in the background.
then after Language selection the first error like "Couldn´t start script... because of the carrier...".

As i mentioned above i get an error message after some start ups or after the language selection, but now i´ve found a screenshot from the error message, look here
Some ideas what else i could try to fix that issues?
thanks

phone says its full?

Hey guys Im running stock rooted and for some reason my phone SD is saying im full. I have literally nothing on it. Any ideas?
I tried once to install a ROM but it borked so I went back to a backup I had and it was fine.
Via windows it says my SD only has around 8 gigs used but android is saying 24?!?!?!?
WTF MATE?
Try wiping userdata in twrp.

thanks, I was about to try and just redo the device with a ROM. Clear cahces and such.
I was actually wrong, every time I go into the phone in windows its giving me different storage use #'s. One time its 8 then 17 then 23 then 9. its weird. I think when I tried dirty flashing it just screwed it all up. I have nothing on the SD I care about really so maybe Ill just back up what I want (TWRP backup and titanium apps) and start from scratch if I Cant solve this.
That might be the best. Try backing up to an OTG then completely wiping and installing a fresh ROM. After backing up apps and such.
ugh IM having trouble using any roms on my 5x. No matter the way I install the phone always boots to "internal problem with device"
Ive tried installing different roms (I only like stock style ones) and the vendor.zip and it just doesnt work for me. Ive gone back to my backup for the moment until I figure this out. Never had these issues with my nexus 5
this is odd now my pattern no longer work since my restore back to my TWRP backup! GOD DAKNIT!
let me do the start patttern fine for android then when unlocing the phone it tells me "pattern needed to start device"
what the hell man!

Try 1st: Completely wipe device, System, data etc. Including Internal Storage and flash a new rom. If that does not fix the issue try flashing stock firmware and start from scratch. Use THIS guide to flash the stock images.
Flash vendor.img that matches your rom base. MMB29Q is the February OTA base. February AOSP roms are based on MMB29U master code but MMB29Q vendor file works fine.
For password issues after TWRP restore, do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3245070

SERIOUS ISSUE!
Bricked the phone!
CRAP, this whole thing went downhill. Can get into TWRP, and get the android crash logo (triangle) was trying to restore back to stock to start fresh and it bombed completely!
Any tips!!!
Been a while since I used ADB or fast etc, but man if I have to relearn I will

Unfortunately NetworkSystemProvider has stopped (Google Play services)

I just got done taking the PG1 update and things were working fine except TitaniumBackup had the issue with the writing to SD Card. So I did some research and thought that I could modify the
Code:
/system/etc/permissions/platform.xml
, however when I rebooted the phone, I started getting the dreaded "NetworkSystemProvider" and "Google Play Services" stopped errors every few seconds. I have put the file back the way it was, rebooted, cleared cache & dalvik, but still I get the error. I really do NOT want to factory reset if I can help it.
It's frustrating even more-so because I generally run TitaniumBackups nightly and even TWRP backups pretty regularly too. I just hadn't gotten to one of the later, and ironically I was trying to fix the damn SD card write issue so that I could in fact do my TBs!! #FML
This seems like it should be something fixable no? I do have root and TWRP. I just can't find a good site that explains how to do it. I also tried to run the TWRP 'fix permissions' button too to no avail.
Can I just re-ODIN the PG1 or something worse case? And then re-root? ... without a factory reset I mean, so I keep my data and settings as they are?
I really don't understand how things go so jacked up from just changing an .xml file (and putting it back the way it was)??
Please help! Thanks!
Did you make a backup before you started modifying?
Did you try wiping cache and rebooting? Did you have a backup of the file you modified to restore? Check name and permissions?
If neither of the above help, factory reset and Odin again. Make a backup right after TWRP in case this happens again. Marshmallow is tricky and petty sometimes, unlike the earlier Android OS versions.
What you need is a PG1 modified services.jar for custom ROM. Don't recall seeing one shared for PG1. But there is a custom ROM in development forum.
