So, i've been using Hashcode's Stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2_r1 for the Kindle Fire. Works great, pretty fast.
I had my gmail account associated to the device, no problem. All of a sudden, i can't sync anything Google-related, nor connect to the Google Play store. It just sits there telling me "No Connection - Retry" on the Play Store app. I can still browse fine on the internet, so it's not a problem WiFi-related.
Any suggestion? I tried re-flashing the latest gapps again, to no avail.
For those interested... just fix the date first (it was set to 2000)

Does anyone here use Rdio?
Normally I love the app, it's a great music subscription service and superior to Spotify in my opinion.
However, they recently released two updates 2.0 and 2.0.1 and since updating, I cannot get passed 3 seconds of any song whether synced or not synced, online or offline.
I've tried on SleeperRom 2.0.04 (EL30) and SleeperRom 1.1.02a (EI22).
I have similar problems on both roms.
Anyone else having problems with the Rdio updates?
UPDATE:
Rdio released an update and it appears to be working now.
I have the same issue. I cannot access "synced" music while offline (either flight mode or manual offline within rdio app). Using Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) running 2.3.5 oem. Have uninstalled / reinstalled and re-synced to find the issue remains. I will not wait long for this fix. I have enjoyed my time with RDIO. I hope this can be repaired in short order or i will have to go elsewhere.
RDIO Issue
This worked for me:
1) Uninstall RDIO.
2) Reboot phone.
3) Hook phone to computer and "connect storage to pc".
4) Find rdio directory on phone and delete.
5) Reboot phone.
6) Reinstall RDIO
7) Resync
Working for me now. Found this on RDIO's website under "troubleshooting" (android).
Hope it works for you.
I installed the WWE Network app from the Amazon store and entered my login info. The menus work fine but when i select something to watch (anything) a quick gray box pops up that says something like "Cannot Play Video" for a second and then the app crashes back to the fire tv launcher. The login info is all good since it works on my PS3 and computer.
I uninstalled the app and re-installed it but still have the same problem. I was just wondering if anyone else has or doesnt have this problem. Thanks

Folks
My friend has a stock S4 mini and is trying to use bubblebupnp to stream from his phone to his chromecast.
Bubble fails with this error:
chromecast error: failed to connect to google play services for casting NETWORK ERROR
I have searched but not found an answer.
Its stock rom, not rooted, so running ICS?
Youtube app casts fine using the cast button.
I updated google play services but same issue occurs.
I download allcast, but it did not find the chromecast, it just kept searching.
Have restarted and reset the chromecast several times, but it works fine with my phone, so it's something specifically with his phone.
Any ideas why bubble or allcast are not working.? Its the latest version of bubble, so it has to be someting on the phone itself..
I just got the Huawei Watch with Android Wear 2.0
It pairs just fine with my phone but I was having issues getting the Google Account added to it.
I forced Wifi on the watch then Google account finally was added. I was able to use Ok Google to search just fine.
The moment I am away from my Wifi though, it will no longer be able to connect with ok Google to do searches even though it is still connected to my watch and I can control things like youtube videos to pause, change volume etc.
Any ideas???
PD The exact error is can't reach google at the moment and my GOOGLE is up to date.
Like many others here, I have Google Play Movies/Music running on my second gen Fire Sticks and they run beautifully. But I just got a Fire TV3 from DirectTV Now's promotion and installed all the same components on the FTV3, but when I try to log into Google Play, it just hangs on the screen telling me "Logging in, this may take several minutes". I've let it go through for hours without resolution. I figured the issue was likely either Google Play Services or Google Account manager, so I've tried numerous version of both and continued to come up short.
Has anyone been able to successfully get Google Movies/Music working on the Third Gen FTV?
