Any 4.2 roms being worked on? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Im just wondering if any stock 4.2 roms are being worked on at the moment. Or are there images up on the android site I can just flash and be fine with then?

No 4.2 Roms or Images yet but it shouldnt be much longer.
also here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#maguro

Yea, saw that, but no 4.1.2 for toro.
Guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer.

Damn You Red!!

No 4.2 roms until google updates the source to 4.2 and that will happen probably when nexus 4 is released

Is 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 out for GSM Galaxy Nexus yet?

Is 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 stock OTA ROM out for GSM Galaxy Nexus yet? Just making sure I haven't missed anything.
Why is 4.0.4 out for Verizon but we're still on 2?

We have a 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 rom. Check the development section. Another 4.0.4 rom is set to be released as well called Foxhound. It is currently being worked on.

Just root the phone already. -_-

4.0.2 is the latest version of OTA for both CDMA and GSM.
We only have 4.0.3 ROMs because the source trees have been updated but no OTA yet. We have 4.0.4 for CDMA phones because there was one leak and its been put into ROMs.
If you're not going to root, you just gotta wait.
Sorry I should've been clearer.
I am rooted, but was enquiring about the OTA stock ROM versions. Thanks for the answer above!

both versions of the phone are updated to 4.0.2 via OTA, 4.0.3 was only released as source and 4.0.4 was leaked for the LTE

and yet devices like the toshiba a200 are getting updates before our phones. Ridiculous.
I don't see much difference between 4.0.2 stock and 4.0.3 custom r

Pardon me?
Devices may get the latest update before we do, but this does not guarantee the build they receive will be stable and bug free. Also keep in mind predicted release dates are different than actual release dates.
Be patient, enjoy your hardware, and stop worrying about a single digit.
I'm fully aware there are a few complications with the current 4.0.2 builds, but its nothing detrimental to daily usage.
Also I know this is a Google based phone, but users have only insinuated that Google will update the nexus first, Google has not said the nexus will be first.

Well if the Acer A200 is getting 4.0.3 already, I guess it means ours can't be too much longer.
You serious? The performance is much improved, especially the stock browser and app switcher. I tested out a custom ROM to checkout the differences, but ended up immediately going back to stock because I can't bring my self to trust what a custom ROM is doing with my phone and data (no offense to any devs here). I tried to build my own from AOSP but gave up.
I'm impatiently waiting for the official OTA now.

This is lame, been waiting for 4.0.3 for two months basically.
I realize we'll get it before most devices but still, I didn't think it would take this long for actual OTA updates to come out after the source is released.

You clearly don't use IPSec VPNs over HSDPA then

Actually the 4.0.4 for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is officially available... I got the OTA update and built a stock ROM over that... and here's the download link from Google... http://android.clients.google.com/p....signed-mysid-IMM30B-from-ICL53F.659e0a8f.zip
I have 4.0.3 on my transformer prime, maybe it's just a tablet upgrade?? and the phones will get a 4.0.4 soon

No, not yet. The only device that' s runnig 4.2 is Nexus 4. There are however 4.2 Google apps that are floating around.
Wait a little longer and CM10 and AOKP will release some 4.2 builds soon.

[Q] rom update

are all developers working on getting android 4.2 on the s3 i747?
just wondering
thanks
Take a look at the Android Original Development Forum for this device. Task650 has released an AOKP 4.2 based ROM with minor bugs and CM has released official 10.1 which is 4.2.1. These builds are only 5 days old and contain some minor bugs.

Yes, which is why there are overall less updates being rolled out. The 2 mentioned above are the only 2 at the moment that actually work. There's 2 more I believe, but they're there so that people can help with it's development. They're not fit for every day use. Task's 4.2 is pretty neat, but it's missing a lot of the old aokp features and has (as stated) some minor, but very noticeable bugs. Personally, I'm waiting for the 4.2 release of paranoidkangdroid. And if you want something very stable and nearly bug free. Wait another week or two, maybe three.

4.2.0

Im sure it will someday

A 4.2 update will most likely come from Samsung and there is a 4.2 rom already but i cant speak to its stability
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049314
A custom rom based on 4.2 will surely show up shortly.

Technically 4.2 isnt out. 4.2 apps exist on most of the cm and aosp roms though

I concur with cdshepherd. 4.2 will come to our Note IIs eventually, stock or custom rom. Custom rom-wise, it's being worked on as we speak. Just check out the progress in the development section.

4.2.2 update from Verizon announced

What does this mean for the 4.2.2 ROMs out there? Would the developers use the new code to improve the ROMs? Or does it not make any differrence?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
I'm pretty sure they announced that it's the same 4.2.2 build as the leak, so I don't think it should matter too much aside from the radios.

The radios were in the leaked build, so there's literally no change.
