Hi,
Anyone got any good camera settings they would like to share, my pictures look ok but not as good compared to my old Omnia and HD2.
Cheers.
I'm having trouble with my camera aswell :S.
Just recieved my phone, but there seems to be a lot of blue flickering lines in camera view, which remain visible on the photos themselves.
I even tried covering the actual camera completely to pitch black darkness and taking a photo, and there is still a lot of blue flickering lines showing on the display, and they are even more visible in the photo?!?
Please HELP! Does anyone know how to fix this? Anyone else experiencing anything similar?
Thanks for your help.
Just switched from a very problematic MT4G (went through 5 of them) to the G2, and so far I'm very happy with the switch. However, I noticed that a lot of my images (photos & wallpaper) seem to have a slightly yellow/green tint to them. Is there any way to change the color saturation on this phone, and has anyone else experienced this as well?
Thanks.

I've noticed my device's screen has a bit "warmer" color temperature than would seem to be preferred by most users. My previous unit from T-Mobile was not like this at all, and noticeably "cooler"/more blue.
Dunno what to tell you.
Cynageon Mod has render effects to calabrate the screen
ah yes im not the only one who has noticed this, this is my second g2 as to the first i had bad pixels nd exchanged it, i had hd2 and i notice that the hd2 has a more vivid color and g2 has a more calm and warmer colors
can you please tell where are these settings?

With this app there is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745248
Use Root Explorer to place it in /system/app, change permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--), and reboot.
Not sure if it works with the latest CM7 nightly, but I tried it a couple weeks back with whatever CM7 nightly and it worked fine. Unless you have a baseline though, it's hard to know what to adjust it to.
I have a calibrated monitor and if I hold the phone next to it with the same photo on each, the G2 screen looks just a bit cool with the default CM render effect (no render effect). The calibrated N1 setting is too warm, so it's somewhere in between them.
I was going to mess with it further, but I'm ok with my screen as is.
my stock camera app really bothers me.
white balance is based on the center of the photo instead of where i choose to focus.
after i choose a focus point of a picture, it refocuses after a few seconds every time.
anyone know of a post with a solution to this annoying problem?
please link to a thread for me =)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385554 is this the only fix?
what does the new OTA firmware and camera firmware update do for this issue?
i consider the whitebalance based on the center of the photo to be a massive flaw.
Use a different camera app, like Camera360, set the white balance manually, or adjust it later in Picsay.
one thing is really bugging me about the stock camera.....to get a photo i like in low light i have to set the iso to 400...then its ok....but each time i start the camera app it has reverted the setting to 800.....is there any way i can get the setting to stick ??....i have used other camera apps, but havent found one that has a changeable setting for iso.
thanks in advance to anyone who replies
Hi anyone here have this blueish photo if camera flashed is used?If anybody knows how to fix this issue.
It's a white balance issue. LEDs are generally on the cool side. Either manual change the WB setting or post edit it to make it warmer. That's assuming there's no actual camera malfunction.
A picture(s) would help...
