Hi just got my N2 and have tried everything but Google Now will not "say" the weather when I ask it. It only displays the card. Tried changing to English(us) still not working. Volume isbalso on. I am on Rogers in Canada, anyone having this problem?

Not working on my Bell Note 2 either. Not sure how to enable it though

Good to know I thought that I was doing something wrong. Even did a factory reset.

It works fine on my international n7100, so it's probably a bug on the 317 firmware.
I wonder if att users work...anyone can confirm?

ATT SGH-I317 checking in, just got it today. Voice weather from google now works for me (houston tx). UCALJ2.
Just got my Rogers Note 2 today.
Same problem with the voice.
Also noticed that the sunrise video in all the commercials is missing.
How did you get yours before November 9th?

I know the only person that has T-Mobile I know is my mom (in college and still on same family plan), and I don't wanna text her lol.
My phone is ringing about 15 seconds. Is there any way to increase this to 30 seconds? I've tried apps to do this & so far no dice.

How long the phone rings before it goes to voicemail is set by your carrier and has nothing to do with your phone.
Actually it can most likely be changed in one of the ##XXXX# modes, but I'm not sure which one it's under for the GNII. You'd probably need your msl to find it.

As I mentioned above, it can indeed be done. You need to edit the "Slot Cycle Index" setting. I've done this with my Evo 4G and E4GT, but this phone is too new for me to know the ##XXXX# command to find where it's located.

Well you can, but you don't have to.
Thanks for the responses. I called Sprint & they could do it with their Nextel phones, but not the Note II. Still researching.

Well that is very interesting. I didn't think it was a phone thing, but a system thing. Sprint did it for me on my last phone, which was an HTC Evo, and the longer ring time has carried through with my Note.
I'm gonna call them again. Thanks!

Basically I'm looking to see if this phone has the ability to see the extra Russian satellites. Like this picture, the square ones are glonass. Gps is so great getting locks with the extra sats. Person already has issues with her current phone (gs2) so that's my main reason for checking. If not I guess gs3 it is =(

I owned an s2 before this phone and I can tell you that the Gps in the s2 was crap! The difference in the lock on time between these two phones are night and day.. As far as picking up the extra Russian satellites I'm not sure on.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just going to go to the Sprint store and downloading gps status on one and see what it pulls. I also need to check the Evo lte since I will be choosing out of these two phones.

Nearly positive it does since it uses the S4 Pro, everything after the S4 should have it built in.

If it's anything like my Note 2 I already know! Those are indeed Russian satellites. I'm already sold on getting her this device just for the fact it's a quadcore plus now it's verified that glonass is enabled. I hope development for this phone picks up asap!

That's for T-Mobile from reading it...
"Step 10. Once that’s done restoring, your phone will reboot. Just give it about a minute as it will reboot. Once rebooted, you can insert your T-Mobile SIM card and start enjoying T-Mobile 3G/4G HSPA+!"
