It is not working for me. I tried with a mouse that works in my G S3 and with a USB drive that works in my S3 also and i get nothing.
i have the at&t optimus g version. i tried with a keyboard that worked with my galaxy nexus. in the settings, there were different usb connection types (charge only, mtp, usb tethering, pc software, camera ptp) and i tried them all but had no success with getting the keyboard to work.
also, if it matters, i had usb debugging turned on in the developer options.

Few of these threads have been made, but not sure if anyone has shown OTG USB host cable work with USB dongle supporting a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
I followed this scheme to connect the 4th pin ID to the 5th pin ground. The rest was very simple.

Let me know if you have any questions
I think there was a thread related to this matter already : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1070573&highlight=otg
That thread doesn't use a bluetooth dongle. Instead, it uses the built in bluetooth feature of the phone to connect to a bluetooth keyboard and mouse without using the OTG host usb. That's why I wanted to try it this way and see if it worked.
OTG cable
If i use OTG cable for my NOVO 7 paladin(tablet with Android Version 4.0.1) or Xperia ARC(Android version 2.3.4), can it support to my external USB device(like printer)?

Why don't you want to use the built in BT? Surely then you can output to a big screen or charge the phone.
mouse and keyboard also not detected by XPERIA ARC.

I don't have OTG cable?
Is OTG cable is required?
observation: Using USB HOST Controller Software(Available in Android market)
1) For NOVO 7 Paladin : USB HOST MODE is ACTIVE
:Keyboard, mouse not detected
2) For XPERIA ARC : USB HOST MODE not available or not Active
:Keyboard, mouse not detected
After upgrading to lollipop OTG doesn't seem to work any more
I stick a multi SD / USB adapter and it doesn't do anything
should i enable something? like developer menu?
I have the same problem

Works fine for me on my 10.5, maybe you have the wrong otg cable?
Do you see the notification in the status bar when connecting a device.
no notification, but with same cable and same USB pen connected to Samsung S6 it works
not sure why and how it worked but connecting tablet to PC, it was recognized as external storage on mac with android app
now after disconnecting OTG works

I am having same problems as others. Tried al404's suggestion in various forms and still nothing. The problem may be unique to the Wifi only models. Does al404 have LTE? I also have loaded various ROMs, including Liquidsmooth (which supposedly had OTG control), and they have not helped.

Thanks! UsbDriveA it is.
hello,
I bought this device:
http://www.amazon.com/Inateck-Ethernet-Chromebook-Supported-Aluminum/dp/B012N8KYWU
because it reads nice, I just got it but as i plug it in it only flashes and the tablet only detects is as chargeable device.
I can switch to RNDIS as i wanted to try ethernet, in the developer option but if I do that, the Pixel reboots and reset the option to the prior one.
It even doesn't recognize a USB Stick on that Hub.
Is the hub broken or is there another issue?
Thanks Avalun.
I recently bought this USB Hub / Ethernet adapter and have successfully verified that the USB ports work and the Ethernet port works. I turned off the WiFi while testing the Ethernet port to be 100% sure. I also had USB Debugging enabled when doing all this.

thanks for the reply unfortunately that one is not available in the EU
Did you see this post?

Yes but it doesn't have an ethernetport. Additinally that doesn't deliver to Austria too.
I tried to connect some devices via usb.
The Adaptercable is working because I tried it on a different phone andit works.
But no devices seams to be recognized. I tried
an usb stick (even works on an old glaxaxy s3)
a dvb-t device .. not working
a usb mouse .. nothing
my usb midi keyboard.. nothing.. not even the light goes on.. (on my Jiayu S3 it works with the same adapter )
any ideas?
kind regards
Thomas
otg is not support in the kernel.
and it is hard to fix it

when i connect it to tablet using OTG cable, the ethernet option in system remains gray and will not active.
is there any way i can use my dongle with this tablet ?
i'm on android 5.0.2 stock ,rooted.
thanks
any idea?
USB adapters are hit and miss, however I know of 2 that WILL work and are relatively cheap..

I like the asus usb ethernet adapter because it can act like a wifi router and allow devices to connect to it wireless..
but the first adapter for 15 bucks is an awesome deal and works, no fuss.

Enable developer options, go to usb configuration and choose RNDIS. This may help but I think you should choose RNDIS every time your tablet reatarts. ( I have the same problem with dji phantom 4 )
