[Q] After I flashed 4.1, notification sounds are played in speaker other than headset - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I used to listen to music with my bluetooth headset.
Everything just works as fine as it should when my phone is still running Android 2.3
After I flashed a 4.1 ROM, I found that:
1. When I am listening to music with my bluetooth headset, the notification sounds played on my speaker.
2. After I disconnected the bluetooth headset, the volume of notification and ringtone become really low. I nearly hear nothing when text and email are arrived.
I have searched with Google for a long time, but I found nothing that can solve my problem.
Do anyone know how I can solve these problems? For example, editing some system file, or installing some app?
Thank you very much.

Bluetooth media audio not working anymore

I have Nokia bluetooth stereo headset BH-503.
I'm using it fine for calls but lately I cannot seem to get music audio through them. I suspect it may have happened when Tmobile sent the OTA update out (my phone was in the first batch, now on 1.15.110.11). Note - im not sure exactly when this started so may not be the update.....could be a dodgy app?
I was using spotify and the htc music player with the headset fine when I first got the Desire.
Both 'phone' and 'media' settings are ticked in the bluetooth options and obv tried disconnecting then repairing the two but still no joy.
Has anyone else noticed this? any other media bluetooth problems?
I can be listening to Spotify or HTC music player thru the phone loudspeaker and when a call comes thru the phone correctly diverts the call to the bluetooth headset then resumes music to the loud speaker once the call has finished.
It's as if the bluetooth media audio capability has been disabled!? Any help would be appreciated, it's driving my nuts!!
hmm seems to be fixed. I did one thing differently this time.....
Instead of activating bluetooth via the widget or settings>wireless&networks> bluetooth where you can check the bluetooth box to turn it on, i went into:
settings>wireless&networks> bluetooth settings and activated bluetooth from there.
When it connects to device it now says 'connected to phone and media audio' and plays fine now even when switching on via the widget.
V odd. Oh well happy chappy again

Bluetooth headset randomly disconnects

Hi, noob here. I've searched both here and in MoDaCo and it seems like this happens to more people, but I haven't seen a solution so far.
I've got a Sennheiser MM200 headset paired with my Desire. It works fine, but sometimes the headset randomly disconnects. I've paired the headset before with other phones and this has never happened before, so I'm sure the problem lies in the Desire. I'm not sure, but I think that it only happens when WiFi is on; however I haven't been able to pinpoint the source of the problem yet. Does this happens to anyone else? Is there a workaround or a fix for it?
Since we're at it, I can't seem to be able to stop or skip songs with the headset when using the stock music player. Spotify works fine, though. I make sure to shut down Spotify to use the music player or else the bluetooth controls default to Spotify and I can't control the audio app.

[Q] How to stop notification sounds through external speaker w/ headset plugged in?

When I plug my headphones into my Evo the notification sounds still play through the external speaker. The only way to stop them from playing through the external speaker is to put it on vibrate or silent. But then that stops the notifications from playing through the headset too.
Does anyone have a fix or a workaround? Is this just an HTC Sense issue or is this a problem with android? I've looked into using tasker to disable the external speaker when a headset is hooked up but I haven't been able to figure out a way to make that work. Tasker seems to rely on the profiles and none of them support this.
There's a ticket open here: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=6696. But for some crazy reason this is considered an enhancement. I think this is a pretty serious bug. I mean, who would want ANY sounds coming from the external speaker while a headset is attached?
I feel your pain. Whenever I'm listening to music w/ my headphones, my roommate is able to hear my SMS notifications through my speaker =(
so, uh, bump....anyone have any luck finding a solution to this? doesn't seem to have been fixed with 3.29...
Also interested in this. I was in the library listening to pandora on my headset and I got a call...and the ring played through the speakers! Ahhhh...we need a solution to this!
Swyped from an HTC Evo on MetroPCS...

[Q] headset problem

Hi there.
I'm facing an issue with my note 2 since a few weeks.
When i plug in a headset with mic to make a call, the sound isn't redirected through the headset, it remains on the phone speaker.
This is quite annoying and it used tk work perfectly. I noticed that during the call when i plug in/plug out the headset, the sound goes tbrough the headset , but only for like 1 sec, then back to speaker.
I've tried with 2 diff headsets.
FYI, during music and vid playing, the sound goes though the headsets. Really odd issue.
i also face the issue that when i activate the BT, and try to stream the music to a BT device, the sound goes back to the speaker.
It used to work also but not anymore. Its not a pairing issue, i've tried many times.
I guess both issues are connected. Any help to solve those problems would be appreciated.
THX
No one ?
bump cause i'm still facing the issue

Low microphone volume when speaking over bluetooth car audio system

Hi!
Today I installed my brand new car audio system (JVC KD-R871BT) which should enable me to make phone calls via bluetooth.
I have made some test-calls.
Unfortunately the conversational partner doesn't hear my voice (he says I he can't barely hear me).
The microphone volume over bluetooth seems much to low.
I played around with my car audios settings (noice canceling, mic boost, etc...). But nothing made it better.:crying:
Is anybody else experiencing this issue too?
Do you know how I can fix this?
Everything else works really fine. I can hear the conversational partner very clearly and loud enouch. Also the music-streaming via bluetooth works very smoothly... just the microphone volume seems to be buggy.
Please help!

Hi!
Update: this seems to be a problem with HTC One M8.
Today I tested it with another phone and it worked.
Anybody else with the described problem?
