I installed room ( {Rom}{ICS} Official Global CM9), after 2 days my phone's network is disconnected. I reinstall the original room 2.3.4 but only use 2G when I used dataroaming; completely unusable 3G & network global mode always (I fullwipe data before reinstalling room 2.3.4 ; radio 1.09.01.0312 & APN properly installed). Please help me how to be able to use 3G
because my phone is example:
Unfortunately, I'm having the same problems with this ROM on HSDPA that I was having on aeroevan's ROM. GSM is found immediately on boot, however, HSDPA is very flakey. It will succeed in connecting every now and again, but then randomly drops the signal and won't reconnect. I thought maybe I just had a weak 3G signal where I was testing, but I have a BB Bold for work as well and that can easily maintain a 3G connection on the same network. I also had no problem way back in the day with CM7.2, but that ship has sailed .
Also, when the phone is in WCDMA preferred mode, after a while the phone will lose all connections (usually after a reboot but not always), including to GSM and when I go to reselect my network operator I get the message "Error while searching for networks". No matter how many times I reboot the phone or switch to "GSM Only" or "GSM/WCDMA auto" it never lets me again select my network provider.
Dude you already posted the same thing in q&a why did you post here

I have been trying to get the data connection to work, when I am in a 2G coverage area, however I didn't have any luck.
3G works ok, but as soon as it goes on the GSM as apposed to WCDMA setting, none of the online options are available.
Do I have to set another access point on the phone to get data when I only have GSM (2G) coverage?
Hmmm, for some strange reason, yesterday while at work, I couldn't connect to T-mobile's 2G data network (GPRS)... Yesterday evening it shutdown by itself (empty battery) and after I restarted it, I have 2G data connection... very slow but it is there...
I wonder what may have been the problem. Any thoughts?
I just got one huge issue about my GN when i change my Mobile ISP.
Every time when i enable data with HSPA after 3-10 seconds GN will lose signal Suddenly,
But if i enable "use 2G networks" then everything goes fine.
I try to put the new SIM card to my friend HTC Desire HD no issue at all.
And i try both 4.1.1 and 4.0.4 Rom and some baseband nothing changed still will lose signal when i enable data with HSPA.
I am on straight talk and a few months ago my phone started automatically trying to switch preferred network mode from GSM/WCDMA (auto or preferred) to LTE/GSM/WCDMA every five minutes on the dot. I assume this is because straight talk now uses the LTE network as well. When my WIFI is off, the phone connects to LTE within a second or two and stops switching the preferred network. At that point, everything is fine, and the phone does what it's supposed to, seamlessly switching between LTE, HSPA+ and 3G depending on what signal is strongest.
Here's where it gets weird. If my wifi is on, then I cannot choose LTE/GSM/WCDMA as my preferred network. The phone however keeps automatically trying to switch to it every five minutes. It switches up from GSM/WCDMA preferred or auto (which are the only two i can manually choose) to LTE/GSM/WCDMA, at which point the phone doesn't get ANY signal, including cellular reception (I know because I've tried calling myself from another phone and it goes straight to voicemail). It stays there for about 30 seconds with no reception before finally giving up and reverting back to GSM/WCDMA. The signal comes back and everything is fine for five minutes, and then it automatically tries to switch up again and i lose service again for another 30 seconds. When I restart my phone, the preferred network always starts out on GSM/WCDMA auto and then starts automatically trying to switch up. It's just that if i have wifi turned off, it connects to LTE and everything's fine and if i have wifi on it does the whole cycle i described no matter what.
The only strange workaround that I've found is that if i wait for it to cycle twice while on wifi, losing reception and then reverting to 'GSM/WCDMA auto' and getting it back, i can then toggle the LTE button in the power menu twice and it stops trying to change preferred network. That only works until the next reboot, and of course means i never have LTE. It's very strange. I've tried different ROMS and different modems and it's always the same except that sometimes a different modem will change the interval between the preferred network automatically trying to change. Also it happens when the wifi is turned on, whether or not i'm actually connected to a wifi signal.
Sorry for the essay, just wanted to be thorough, as i've been searching for a long time and find many similar threads, but nothing quite describing my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

since i unlocked the phone i am having problems with my phone
It refuses to stay connected to 3g networks . it connects but after a while it disconnects and doesn't connect again only( if i reboot the phone it does but drops again)
Forcing WCDMA only doesnt fix it , if i choose GSM/ WCDMA it reconnects to gsm
If i pick LTE signal i can do everything but receiving calls it says its turned off
I tried:
Installing stock firmware ( currently 4.4.2 DTM unbranded) and other custom firmware
Getting new sim card and changing carrier ( its not a carrier issue)
All Apn settings are fine
please advise
ok 4g according to info i saw i cant receive calls , however i want it to stick with 3g witch due to my problem has been impossible

Anyone?
Signal Drops == not fully compatible modem
Installed cyanogemmod and the issue is gonne used all day no issues
Hi everyone, I searched for a solution for my problem for a very long time, but found nothing. HOX has many issues with gsm network or signal, but mine HOX has a very strange issue with network mode switching. For example, I'm on 3G now and I set the WCDMA prefered in *#*#4636#*#* menu. When 3G becomes unavailable, HOX tries to switch to 2G network. But instead of switching to 2G, I get "No Sim card" icon and after ~30 second network icon disappears. I have to reboot the phone to recover the network. I made some tests and found, that this is not the hardware fault. I tried to change the radio RIL to any available and there is no difference. For now I don't know what to do, what else can I do... I will really appreciate any suggestions.
I can record a video to get things more understandable.
