Hi I tested out a few roms on my HTC ONE V CDMA and I noticed the bluetooth won't work with my headset it will connect but I can't make or recieve calls with it and I am curious is that due to the rom itself or the boot image.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tim
On sense, the Bluetooth control is done in user land. Any other ROM will be kernel as the cause. This is because htc broke bluez in the kernel. This is fixed on most kernels now days, but if your starting from kernel source you'll need to fix those files. Once maxwen and jmz get it totally fixed for primoc in his kernel I'll include it in my sick kernel as well.

Hey guys now since we have 2.2 root woohoo!! I am in the process of deciding which rom I am going to flash or kernel. Baked snacks as gotten my attention with its battery kernel. However my questions is this, with baked snacks will the wiimote be able to link up with PSXDROID or is CM V6 the only ROM that fixes the bluetooth error. Now I have read that its is because of the way bluetooth was programmed with sense, however because this is a custom rom and in the updates it states fixed bluetooth I am curious.
HAD had that rom before nopewiimote bluetooth doesn't work

As I understand it, CyanogenMod 6 is the only ROM that has incorporated a more standard Bluetooth stack. All the rest are still using the crippled one from HTC. So CM6 is the only option for expanded BT connections beyond headsets.
This is what I believed as well just wanted to confirm this. Thanks for the input guys and I do appreciate it.
Hi every one,
It makes some months now that we can use ics roms aokp or ics with sense but one issue which has not been fixed and considered is the headset buttons.
they don't work on any ics ROM.
On original headset it doesn't work, but also on the jays one+ and philips s9005a (great headphones ) with dedicated button app.
For me its look like its kernel related and I would like to ask developers of those ROMs to say something about this issue : fixable/not fixable, kernel related/not related. Thanks for your answers !

I'm having the same problem.
It would be appreciated if they could make this a priority.
When starting the FM radio it tells you to plug in your earphones first, even though they are already plugged in, it might be a related problem.
Same here

So It's an identified problem, xxxpacha said in his Rom thread It's kernel related and because all ics roms are now based on the virtuous kernel, this will not be fixed until the virtuous team fix it.

Thanks god i have the same problem. Every ICS rom what i downloaded has this problem. I hope developers will repair it soon :fingers-crossed:
JB Roms also have problems with headset buttons. Seems that not working headset buttons and not working WiFi HotSpot are major issues of ICS/JB roms
I'm using IceColdSandwich ROM in my DHD. My wired headset buttons are working fine!... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450962.
I was testing several ICS ROMS and that is the unique where headset buttons works. I hope the developers fix the issues on Sense ROMS. I love Sense...
Hi same problem here
Htc sensation with dream x2 rom headfone buttons and mic wont work.
Im about to flash dream x3 but i allready know that the mic or headset buttons wont work.
Even when the developers say the rom is bug free.
Hope some developers fix this bug.
with Vituoso I too have the same problem

I'm trying to give my old Desire (GSM) to my mother as her first smartphone, but I ran into some trouble with her Bluetooth car-kit.
When I scan for Bluetooth devices on any other phone, I see that the Desire is not reported as a phone (while other phones are).
This only happens on ROMs for Android 4 or above (although I didn't test 3).
What I tried:
Stock (2.3) worked
CM7 (2.3) worked
AOKP (4.0) did not work
ICS for Desire (from sandvold) (4.0) did not work
COS Bravo ICS (4.0) did not work
This led me to believe that this was an issue with Android 4.0, so now I'm looking for any pointers that can help me fix this.
I could not find any similar problems, but I guess the Desire is kind of old now and Bluetooth is less used than it was.
Does anyone here have any ideas?
Greatly appreciated, thanks for your attention.
Am I the only one with Bluetooth peril?

Ok, thanks for your input. I might try to add the profile to the bluetooth stack myself.
Well, what do you know! I decided to try a few more and it looks like CronMod is working!

if you look at the htc hd2 forums, you will see everyone is using tytung kernel for their 4.0 to 4.2 roms as it has fully working 720p video playback, camera and camcorder... why hasn't any htc desire developer ported his work? i would think it would be easier/more flexible than trying to port kernel 3.0 which seems to never be able to work completely because of lack of drivers.

Maybe because making a working kernel 3 is more important than porting other kernels.

i think we will never get a complete kernel 3 tbh as there's a lot of drivers not available..
It looks much easier/feasible to port Tytung work on camera/camcorder as the 2.x kernel of HD2 is very similar to htc desire's 2.x kernel..that would require less effort than trying to port kernel 3 (maybe i am wrong..) Qiss Rom and Tytung have been able to get a fully working camera/camcorder using kernel 2.x; so it is possible
at least i have been able to enjoy ICS with qiss rom and marius.a's rom (not a single issue to the major components : camera/camcorder is perfect, BT, GPS, Fm radio and all apps and games work great) ... i would have liked enjoying Jelly bean on my desire before changing phone next year

i mean apart from qiss rom team(unfortunately they did not released their source), no one has been able to get a stable camera/camcorder on kernel 2.x ... what makes you think with kernel 3.x it will be better and easier? and unfortunately there are very very few developers on the htc desire nowadays.. look at the android dev forum, it is quite quiet nowadays

Trust me, nikez and team are working on it. The xda thread may seem dead because of a bit of a mishap with a forum mod, but hes is still actively working and reporting his progress on his forum and on twitter.

It wouldn't work, because nikez uses ion now in his rom instead of pmem! With pmem and tytung's camera fix, which tytung already dicussed with nikez in nikez's thread, it would work, but nikez dont want to revert back to pmem

Hey Everyone,
Recently I've been trying like heck to get any ICS/sense based ROM to boot with the current available kangarookernels (r19.1 and r21) and I've had no luck. I know there are other decent sense kernels out there but my primary interest is in fauxsound. I have a fascinate (galaxy s) here that I use for a music player and because of the voodoo hardware and kernel it blows basically any other phone I've come across out of the water in terms of headset output. Otherwise, do you guys know of any other AOSP/sense based kernels that incorporate fauxsound for our device. Thank you very much for reading and I look forward to any input that's out there.

-Should have mentioned that I'm S-OFF, currently running viperinc with havesense kernel. always follow the proper format for flashing and i'm havning no issues with the current combo. also i've used the antivenom script and it unfortunately did not help.
Build your own kernel?
It would allow you to have any configuration of options...

Thank you for the vote of confidence....but I'm not savvy enough with the programming language to build a kernel. I looked into adding kernel patches and tried getting a general feel for the Linux language....and I still don't know what a GIT is. I have a lot of respect for you folks out there who can make it happen but I'm not one of them.
