Qualcomm hardware? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I just received my TMobile N2 and there's a tiny sticker on the top right that says Qualcomm 4G. I thought these phones were Exynos hardware.....

Processor....

when I run quadrant it says my phone has an ARM v7....thought the EVO had qualcomm snapdragon....

I believe that's our version of Snapdragon. I'm pretty sure the nexus and incredible versions are different.
Sent from my FROYO'D EVO using xda App
ARM doesn't make processors. They design and license. Snapdragon is an ARMv7 based processor.

I believe Snapdragon does refer to a line based on ARMv7, but I'm unsure what distinguishes the EVOs CPU from other Snapdragons.

Oh ok....I'm just disappointed because after the group ota....my benchmark fell below the Droid x......*tear*
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
ARMv7 is a specification made by ARM. The Droid X has a Cortex-A8 processor; he EVO, Incredible, and Nexus One have Snapdragon processors. Both are based on the AMRv7 spec, so they are ARMv7 processors. The Galaxy S phones have Samsung's Hummingbird processors (ARMv7 as well), which are a bit more powerful than Snapdragons and Cortex-A8s. Speed wise, I think it is Hummingbird > Cortex-A8 > Snapdragon (assuming that they are all at the same clock speed).

Giving devs a leg up on snapdragon

http://bit.ly/OlSxHj just seen this could be good news
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
That's great news, but unless I read it wrong, it appears that this will not benefit our phone as the Qualcomm SDK will only support S4 chips and beyond.
Well that's just chitty lol

I was so surprised (and happy) when I noticed this lol. Very cool

Very cool, I still remember the old GSM vs. CDMA days where this was always an advantage to GSM. I'll have to read up on SVDO, it's funny this is no where advertised!

Does Samsung have LTE soc's ready?

Was wondering because the next iPhone could be using Qualcomm chips if they aren't. Also, eager to see some android phones with LTE and exynos or tegra.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The Korean S3 Quad Exynos comes with LTE but it's a separate chip and not built into the SOC.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Nvidia is going to release the Tegra 3+ that will include an LTE radio. I personally can't wait for Samsung to release an Exynos(or whatever they may end up calling their next gen chip) with built in radios(like the S4).

Damn that sucks. If the Verizon gnex is any indication, those phones will have terrible battery life.

Traded Note 2 for Sprint LGOG

All I can say is wow. The display is beautiful just amazingly clear and sharp. The S4 Pro Krait is just a work horse. In the last month I did a few trades. S3, Evo lte, iphone 5 and lastly the Note 2. I found a winner and the phone feels great in the hands. Build quality is top notch. Looking forward to jellybean.

i traded in my photon for the G. absolutely loving this thing so far!
Omg note 2 is worth so much more than lgog I hope you got money on top of that trade.

Ya at first I thought amoled screens were the be all, end all. As soon as I saw LGOG I was like wow. Everything is so crisp and colors were natural. Did a lil research on the screen and it turns out that it's 100% RGB accurate. My laptop has IPS and its only 60%ish.

I love this phone. Even bone stock it kicks other phones in the nuts! Rooted or not. Hands down best Android I've owned so far.

As much as I love my LGOG I still think my Note 2 is a far superior phone no matter which way you slice it.
Not to mention the LGOG is very unpopular and people are pretty much giving them away on eBay for under 300 bucks so like someone already mentioned, I hope you got some cash in return for your Note.

Not really sure about that. It's running an outdated chipset, but the only thing going for it is that massive battery.

Outdated? I still get quantum scores equal and sometimes better then the OG. I agree the Qualcomm processor is better then the Tegra 3 but a phone is more than just its chip.
My LG suffers from weak 4g signal. Wifi connection doesn't seem as smooth as with my Note 2. An example is web pages don't load as fast as my Note 2. Lets not even discuss the camera and video playback.
You want to talk about software features? I think not. S-pen? Let me stop there.
LG, nice screen nice chipset. I give it that.

Ok so LG got a nice screen, chipset, but it ain't made of cheap piece of plastic. Doesn't feel premium to me and forget about one handed txting!

What ever chip it has weather its old or new, the thing performs great. I could show you some quantum scores if you want.
Like I said the lg optimus G has a great chip I won't argue that. But unfortunately a great chip doesn't help with a lot of the other Corky stuff my LG does.
They will get it right with the LG Optimus G pro

The note 2 is cool and all and popular but I didn't want a phablet anymore. It was huge and just wanted to get rid of it ASAP even swap I didn't care. Hardware wise the lgog is king of android IMO. Just think of the performance with JB. LG did great with this phone and I'm very pleased I just love the fit in the hands. I'm sure we will see some bug fixes the phone has only been out a minute. BTW the s3 feels fragile in the hand maybe because of the plastics.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I look at it the opposite as you. I feel like Samsung will get it right with the Note 3. The screen is blurry and blue, its made of crap materials, it has an obsolete processor, hugh bezel and a stupid hardware button.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
You know that dang button gets on my last nerve lol. Their obsessed with it.

That's all you could really say. I don't think anyone hear, said anything bad about the phones chip.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA Premium HD app
Not sure why you are even comparing the G to the Note 2. The Note 2 is in the Phaglet category and the G is in the Phone category. But, if you do want to compare... the G has better build quality, premium materials, better screen(true rgb and higher pixel count), better processors, better(not bigger or removable) battery and better one handed use. That's a lot of "betters".

I believe you meant" here". And the screenie was an indirect way to say "I'm satisfied with my LGOG, no complaints here." I have nothing negative to say as they're both fine devices in their respective classes.
