Hi, my name is Eric and i'm eager to root my LG Nitro HD v20c Ice Cream Sandwich phone. But here's the problem i don't know how to. I have tried many one click root methods and they all have failed. Even had some members on XDA use Team Viewer and they were great help to me but had no success. I'm looking for someone who knows LG phones and can root them like an expert. Again please help me i'm desperate.

Yes i have tried them before with no success though would you be willing to use team viewer and give it a try?
Do you just want rooted v20c, or do you want to install custom ROMs?

Me too.....who can help us?
There's a Super One Click root that works. You just have to be persistent with it. It will fail a few times, but if you keep at it, it will eventually succeed. So far, noone seems to know what the pattern is, it just works.
Has anyone verified the method? I have been trying for a while and it still doesnt work....hope others have better luck

Try Super one Click (latest version for the home page)
Always stop at the step 7 after reboot
try more than 5 times

Try this method:

Extract the rar-file and click "TPSparkyRoot.bat".
After that just follow the instructions on Screen.
(Please note that you have to bring your phone in USB-Debug-Mode!!!)

The only rom that can be rooted is the at&t leaked ics rom.
But with that rom I can only connect to HK's Egde network.
I end up using CM9.
may I know does you means you can use 4g lte in HK with CM9 Rom

you need root to install CM9.

nope. You have to flash a new KDZ file alltogether because the Telus one is unrootable.
Once you get your head around the 'unbricking method', there is really nothing to it.
or you can wait till Telus releases the next update, and hope that it is rootable.

Anyway, I have a Korean LG Optimus 4G LTE (Nitro HD) and just updated to ICS 4.0.4. I'd like to root it so I can clean it up a little and maybe modify some stuff, but the guides online don't refer to my exact software version.
My question is, will the root guides/software for V20e software work on my Korean V20d phone? Does the software version really matter?

with that method you dont loose any of your datas and you dont need to re flash your rom
there is a Video Tutorial , its very simple just follow the instructions .
I gave it a go, and after a lot of messing around to get the phone working with a Mac/VMware, it's now rooted! Thanks for the link :good:

I'm a noob when it comes to roots and roms on phones.
I have been using the offical touchwiz still and is a little interested in rooting the phone and installing cyanogenmod to make it work faster.
I've read that there is a one click method to root called towelroot right now, I want to try it because I don't really understand how to root with other ways on the forum.
And I'm wondering if anyone has tried it before so I can use it and move on to the next step of flashing a custom rom.

Unfortunately Towelroot doesn't support this device yet. I tried earlier today

I've seen people successfully rooting G3 G2 Gpro2...ect. on stock lollipop, but still haven't seen anyone rooting Gpro 240 stock lollipop.
IS it very different than other LG phones?
Obviously someone has done it, since there are Custom roms with root. It would be awesome if someone could show a method.:good::good::good:

What I meant, was rooting stock lollipop rom without flashing a custom rom. But your links were great! I gave you thanks anyway.:good:
