Hi guys,
Just wondering if cm10 will ever come with kernel that allows over clocking. I have Canadian rogers s3. Anyone with rogers s3 over clocked? What kernel did you use with cm10 and how far were u able to push it?

KT747 kernel works good with cm10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776
You get an app that let's you overclock up to 2106ghz. Plus some other tweaks.
Faux kernel forks fine as well it comes overclocked in 2 versions 1.62ghz and 1.84ghz.
Thx for reply. I'm gonna go ahead and see if my phone can handle 2.1ghz. Hope it will generate some crazy quadrant scores.

Hello,
When i try to run the 1.4ghz hack, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380064),
I get stuck on the google screen.
And when I try to use franco's kernal it all works but I have a max cpu of 1200mhz.
Has anyone else eccounted the same problem and how do you fix it so you get the 1400mhz.
Thanks
The kernel from that link is 4.0.2. Franco's latest kernel doesn't have OC. Try one of the other 4.0.3 kernels that can OC such as Apex on rootzwiki.

Im having the same problem. I think the kernal i was using is for 4.0.3 only.. i missed the 4.0.2 version by a day. My only hope is that when 4.0.3 su.zip comes out in a few weeks it will work then because im not sure i want to port it from another device

I believe they're 1.4, but if you read the thread in the dev section about overclocking/undervolting patches it explains a lot in regards to why the phones won't boot/lag when it comes to all of this.
Just got my i747 from AT&T. It is rooted and I am running the stock rom.
Which kernels work with the stock rom?
Is there a battery icon that will work with the stock rom?
Thanks in advance for the suggestions.
Well I've been running KTooz Kernel........works well but on day 2, I can't say I've experienced better battery stats........
Not YET..........I'm hopeful. I used teh app it comes with and dropped the CPU to 1050, and dropped each of hte voltages
by 120mv..........we'll see.

Been running faux on my last two android phones. Not looking back any time soon. Runs great and can be oc'd to beastly numbers. Running 1728 and my phone has no issues and is completely stable

Recomend Ktoonsez! been with him since day
Decided to go with KToonz. No oc'ing yet. Just change the scheduler and governor.
Thanks to everyone for your input.
Hey dose any one know any good stable oc kernels for the i747 im running jellybean milestone 5 rom
None as of yet. I believe ktoonz has one JB OC kernel but it won't work for Milestone. Look in original Android develepment.

Is there a working kernel for the att S3 to over clock the CPU or GPU or both that works on Jellybean ROMs?
All I could find was some old stuff for the international and T-Mobile USA versions of the S3..

I think faux has one in the original android development section.

Jb tw or aosp... I hope you mean tw, cause aosp jb are pretty easy to find

Aosp ROM I presume?
Look for kt747 kernel In original development.
Over clock at 2106
under clock 98
AT&T SGS3
AOKP Task & Ktoonsez ROM
KT747 Kernel OC'ed & UV'ed
Medical MJ Supporter
Fauxs has been retired for almost two months now. He abandoned it (I think he is busy with school and real life)
You should look at kt's kernel.

KT747 has up to 2.1GHz cpu overclock. There was a gpu OC in it but it caused issues, didn't help performance and was promptly removed.

Just like the title stated, what kernel is compatible with AOKP JellyBean "Nightly" that will let me overclock my processor?
Ktoonez kernel is great. Has knots of schedulers and overclock up to 2.1ghz..my s3 has had no problem staying at those speeds for some time. Lean kernel is also good but I got random reboots with it. That one has very few schedulers and can oveclock up to 1.9 GHz. There are 2 more kernels for AOSP android. Check them out

Thanks for the link, however when I flashed it I cant seem to be able to able to overclock my processor, it is stuck at 1512mhz.
Also, I did download the Jelly Bean version of the kernel, the on and after 10/14 since my Rom was released on 10/21.
There is an app called KTweaker in there click on general and you should see the option enable oc options.
