yesterday ive installed the ViperDHD 1.0 rom on my Desire HD and nuw the wifi stops working, when i put on the wifi it says error and goes off.
can someone help me with this.

If u've flashed some other stuff maybe u got unstable wifi. I can only suggest to reflash the rom.

i didnt flash anything over the rom
i only used the venom tweaks to replace the carrier name, centre the clock and set the MIUI battery style.
i reflasht the rom but that didnt work, i think it is a fault in the venom tweaks.
Btw. I dont have unstable WiFi, my WiFi says error when i turn it on and goes of again

I got problem with my gio, when i tried to connect to wi-fi.. when i connected suddenly the wireless and network force close, and disconnected from wifi..

I have wifi problems too, when I leave it on and stop using the phone.
I am using 2.3.5 Baseband S5660XXKS2. From what i've read in another topic this one has a baseband bug.
Switching to S5660XXKS5 should help I heard.
I haven't tried it yet because I'm having trouble with backup up my rom with CWM (5.0.2.7 signed_cwm-5.0.2.7-flashablezip-ext4+rfs.zip) .

i've tried CM 7.2, MIUI from delanoister, stock dxkt4, and bnc-r2 and still can't connect.. i'll try to flash to xxks5, hope it works thx
wifi works well now, i think the problem comes from the server setting that caused my hh got force close when connected to the wifi

I flashed the suggested rom today, and it seems (fingers crossed) the reboots have vanished. I have WiFi on since 12:30 and no reboots !

Wifi fix is crap don't know why people use it. If I recall there is fix that needs to be flashed after flashing miui. Go back to the thread and read the devs first post should be there.
Edit: oops I was thinking of leedroid try flashing rom on top of itself just wioe dalvik and flash see if that solves issue.

i totally agree with you wifi fix is crap
i tried what you suggested so i wiped dalvik catch and reflash the rom on top of itself but wifi is still not working

i even reflashed my previous rom which is android revolution hd 7.0.4 and Wifi worked then i did full wipe and flashed miui.us 2.7.27 and the problem returned, i mean wifi didn't work.

Thats weird I have not had any wifi issues with Ice Cold from LC.
I haven't had any wifi problems with any ics or jb roms I've flashed. I already confirmed in the thread there should be no need to use the wifi fix with the new rom. Try downloading again and doing a full wipe. Also make sure your battery cover is properly placed.

Surprisingly it found other Wi-Fi's. That's kind of strange, isn't it?
Seems that the problem is limited to my wifi and the ones nearby it ( i.e. Wi-Fi's of my neighbors don't appear as well )
I use Whatsapp all the time on my NOKIA E72 at home with my Wi-Fi.
I was using Android Revolution HD and I had no problems with my Wi-Fi.
My NOKIA E72 have no Wi-Fi problems.
My Laptop have no problems.
You may suggest that I add my network manually, in replay I will tell you that I've already tried.

Manually? Not really, I don't know how to do that
Care to explain to me how it's done? Since every now and then I need to reset my router to connect again. Only happens with my cell.
Was it able to connect to the other routers?
Try disconnecting your other cell and pc to see what happens.
From there, the only thing I could suggest is try a different rom. I don't know what else to suggest.

It's all OK now. Wi-Fi is working now with the new MIUI.us 2.8.3 and sure after I disconnected the NOKIA E72, my laptop and turned of my router for 2 hours.

Hi, I'm having an odd wifi issue.
I unlocked my OneX, and flashed a rom, wifi was working fine until i restarted the phone, when i try to turn on wifi it says 'turning on wifi' forever.
Wifi never turns on again.
Exept if i flash another rom, then the whole thing happens again.
I have tried many roms, ICS and JB all with the same result.
And reflashing the boot.img didn't help.
Does any one know of a fix or some advice?
Do i have to send my phone back to HTC?

Try getril from the market and see if you can find a compatible one for your baseband.
And now i have matching ril and baseband.
And the wifi still wont turn on.
Try reflashing modules for your kernel in cwm.

Haven't yet flashed module, but i was trying wifi direct and that works, so I'm thinking this is most likely not a hardware failure. Am i right?
Now I'm of to figure out how to flash a module.. Hoping i dont Have to send my HOX to HTC to fix this.
.... Woke up this morning and the wifi was on, i haven't done anything. But it works!
Now I'm gonna try a restart to see if it will work afterwards.
Ok, restarted the phone and wifi stopped working.
Then i just to check, restored a backup from super wifi password backup app, then wifi kicked in. So, now i'm going to flash a New JB Rom and not use the app to restore wifi passwords.

I have bene using GB roms but never faced this issue. Today, I tried first Nikez lente JB and K900 AKOP ICS. I couldn't connect to wifi.
When I click on turn on wifi, the message appear turning Wi-Fi on .. but nothing happened. No Icon shows in status bar for signals of wifi either.
I am on Stock Hboot PVT4 S - OFF

Hi, you have to go into Settings and the click on Wi-Fi for a few seconds and let go. It will bring you into the next menu where you can choose the network you would like to connect to.
Once you find your Wi-Fi network, simply click on the name and enter in the password (if it has any).
I just switched over from a stable Gingerbread version of MIUI to this Jelly Bean rom and I like it so far.

Thank you for your answer. I tried every method to turn on the wifi. But it not seems to working. It is not turning on. I tried to find this answer on google and as well as XDA but I didn't find any answer to this question. I think this wifi issue is occurring on PVT4 devices but not sure what could be the possible reason for it.
Now, I think I should stay on GB and I am installing Leedroid. Let's see if this error still exist.

i all so had had the same problem with all ICS aand JB roms.......and strangely my problem was fixed when i replaced my sd card....:laugh:........give it a try may be it ll work for u also
I changed the HBOOT for now, I will definitely try with another SD card later.

Strange, it resolved the wifi problem. I flashed the rom and removed the SD card and the wifi is properly working. I didn't figured it out how to manually add IP address. Just like in GB roms we have advance settings in wifi menu. In ICS there wasn't any advance settings.
I Installed back the Stock ROM Buzz_Froyo_hTC_Asia_India_2.25.720.1-dannejo.zip and also flashed its Kernel to InfinityPLAY
but now, my wifi is not working, it keeps on SCANNING..
Even tried to FLash the Radio to Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10
but nothing working !
So things not working are:
1) WIFI
2) HOTSPOT
3) GPS
4) Bluetooth
Prior to this, tried Cyanogen 7.2 and 9.1 mini ! but didn't liked them as compared to Stock ROM.
though 9.1 had Hotspot n GPS issues!
so someone, suggest a solution !

Has to be a radio problem. Maybe you didnt flashed it correctly. Just flash it a 2nd time and search a guide on xda how to do it

yeah bud, i know, it has something 2 do with Radio.
I once again, did flashed my Stock ROM but this time i wiped each and everything.!
Now Wifi, Bluetooth, n Hotspot are working, but Except for GPS
GPS still shows location on the basis of Network, not GPS satellites
So the only thing left is GPS !
now what else can i do to solve it?
and I even wish to change it Kernel, to OverClock it..! suggest me a stable one!
