Hey guys, so I got a bit pissed because I was recording and could not get the image focus, you know, touch the screen to focus, instead it took a still which is nice but I want to be able to focus if I'm recording. I'm using Paranoid so its the AOSP app. Thanks in advance!

For video it's just static. I don't think any app has auto focus.

Yes and I had an HTC amaze and it allowed me to do this so I know it exists

Touch to focus video works on stock T999...
On my Galaxy S3 T999, while recording video, if I touch the screen it focuses (and it pops a little icon on the screen which says "AF").
What's frustrating me now is: I can't figure out how to do a screen capture while recording video? The "Palm Swipe" is not working

Palm swipe is working but not on camera mode or video mode I have to touch red button and it will take a picture while video records.
Im useing wicked v7 rom just installed it.
Haha I was totally wrong. I guess I was thinking about the front camera? Who knows.

Of the many features Samsung included in the Galaxy S3, what is your favorite (or one of them) and why? Even if it isn't exclusive to the phone, I'm curious to know.
Personally, and I didn't think this would be one of them when I heard about it, I LOVE Smart Stay. I usually use my phone a lot to browse and read forums and other internet documents. My old phone was constantly turning off the screen while I read a long post. My Galaxy S3 never turns it off. One of the best features of the phone imo. It's all the little things that work together to make this phone so great.
So what is your favorite feature of the phone?

When watching a video, on the bottom right there's a button to enable picture in picture
I also love Smart Stay, it just makes reading easier than having to constantly be touching the screen.
Personally, I love all the ICS and JB leaks I get to play with!!! Never seen a phone with so many so fast!

I would have to agree with the Smart Stay, it works great. Swipe capture and picture in picture are also on my list. I wish u could watch youtube videos with it though like u can do with the app Super video.

There's an app called super video floating that does the same thing as the pop up player. Works on non gs3 as well
Smart stay for sure I love the feature when reading books or en gadget really helpful, I like direct call but I hate the stock messaging app :/

It is on every TW ROM I used. I think it might be the record feature in notes app, not sure though. The screen record feature does not work on any ROM and Samsung says it has been cancelled due to copyright concerns

There was a video I saw on YouTube where someone screen recorded himself editing a powerpoint presentation while recording the screen. His audio and his s-pen strokes were recorded.

if i remember correctly, System Tuner has such a feature.
Smart pause isn't working for me for some reason
I've tried going to a place with good-lighting and u tried opening my eyes as wide as I could, still didn't work.
I just restore my stock rom from the Infamous rom, and I flashed the tmobile kernel too. I was previously running ktoonsez. It's odd that it does take work.
Can anybody help?

no i think its only 720p .... i could be wrong tho .

I cant install it. Unknown source is checked. When I touch cancel, it cancels but when I touch install, nothing happens. Does anyone know whats happening? I am stock, not rooted.

The way I installed it was that I uninstalled first using Titanium Backup, and then instead the new version. But you have to be rooted for that.
poor video quality.
Has any one noticed that it doesn't play in 1080p? I hope it can be fixed.
Yea the quality is really ****ty...
I went to general and made sure the high quality square was checked.... Also the three little Dots in the upper right hand corner where you push them while the video is playing it gives a option from CC OR HD.
