No it's worth $50 for something that is faster than Class 10 memory cards. You can add more memory afterwards though. I've noticed my internal SD card blows away my external Class 10 card

$50 for 2x the memory doesnt sound expensive, 32gb internal + my 32 gb external = EPIC win

Kidding. Your external storage is there for your convenience and added storage capacity for things such as, including apps, music, videos and pictures. Some apps are written to be stored within the phone's internal storage, but most can be moved of so desired.

Also, depending on the size of sdcard you have, you could partition the card's storage for applications only, leaving the rest for music, pictures, and/or videos. Just another option...

No it's not bad at all. The only thing is the apps moved to the sd will take a little bit longer to load up when your phone turns on.
I haven't moved any of my 135 apps to the sd and I still have .94 GB left on my phone storage

i use it all the time to save space on the phone, with the thought of it should boot up faster, and only downside i have found is sometimes an app doesnt link correctly with the phone when i reboot or unmount the sd card or link my phone via USB and un link then it sometimes misses an app or too, then i need to unmount and re mount or just reboot.
Not sure if that is just my New SD card messing up or the rom, i dont remember having this issue before. But the sd card i have is a class 10 32 gb.
either way thats the only issues i have had.

AT&T Messages for Tablets

Hello, I hope all are well.
I have a KF on CM9 running gedeROM 1.7 with hash code's kernel (v3)
I was wondering if by any chance anyone is kind enough to post an apk of AT&T Messages for Tablets. I can't download it from the play store, as it says my device is not supported...
I tried side-loading AT&T Messages from my Galaxy Cell, but it searches for a SIM Card on the Kindle Fire and won't load...
I was hoping to try the Tablet version...
would appreciate any information!

At&t uses GSM technology that stores all of your contact information on the sim card of the phone. You would have to have a 3g tablet with a slot for a sim card for something like that to work.

I'm running it on my Touchpad with android. It has to be installed on an At&T phone as well. Good luck.

Just odd that it doesn't do a sim card check on your touch pad...don't quite understand...its not a cm issue...it is clearly a sim card issue (as other posters earlier said)... guess something about the con fig on your touch pad allows the sim check bypass

My phone won't read my SD Card but when I take it out from the slot there looks like there is little wires sticking out..
So does anyone know what this could be?
And for the time being is there anyway to remove this SD Card notification?

My SD Card is shot it won't even read in the computer.. I'm using a 4gb right now till I get paid again to buy another 32gb one..

The little wire you see is a spring mechanism for the card, and what happened to you is likely a bad file you didn't notice quick enough and reformat.

Do you have another android/ access to another one? Swap out the sdcard with yours, mount it through that phone, format, and all good

I tried it in my brothers GS3 and it wouldn't read in his either

My g3 has broke three SD cards so far I formated on windows and now it works

Missing music?

I'm trying to figure out why no apps besides for Poweramp, because I can select my storage location, doesn't find any of my music not even what's on my SD card.

Yeah it's definitely on there, but it's not just the card. It doesn't even recognize music on the internal storage either.
I never noticed before because I've always just used Poweramp exclusively.

Here's what I mean.
Other music players don't recognize music is on my device. Poweramp does but that's because you can select the directories its in yourself.
So Im trying to figure out why that is.

From what I have gathered, is that your music needs to be in the"correct" my music folder

I don't think it matters what folder it's under. Have you tried using a media scanner app from the play store. I've never had any problems with mine and I have music all over my sd.

Try moving some music into your "My music" folder, phone or sd. Should show up.
