smart screen off app. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I discovered this app called "smart sceen off" via "BossyTexasChick" available at Google Play.
Excellent why to take advantage of the proximity senor and save the power button.

Well after day 4 of owership I realize this gadget has an existing feature that will wake it up via the "motion" settings, "Quick Glance".

Awesone on off is really good as well

I have found the app by James Kim works better than the app by AndroidHD. They are both called Smart Screen Off.

How have you found the battery drain on these? Ive tried a few others and the drain seems to be quite a bit higher than I would have thought.

The battery drain has been negligible for me.

BLN simple question, your thought?

Simple question: What are the effects of using BLN from the default settings in AOKP. Aside from the obvious battery drain, I'm wondering along the line of: Is this bad for the light, to turn on and off so many times. Or is it built to be able to handle such repeat use. Currently its set to 1 second on, and 8 seconds off. Would it hurt the back light more if i set it to 0.2 seconds on and 5 seconds off?
No ideas?

I've not read of any issues with the key lights. I've got my settings at 10secs on .5 off

That little light is not going to kill your battery. Heavy usage of watching porn might but guess it depends if it's good porn lol.

Its not the battery life I'm worried about. Its the lights themselves. Will the become damaged from such excessive use?

fixed wake button lag in lte update

Hey all, the wake button lag was my #1 complaint about this awesome device. Maddening! I did the MB4 update to see if Albuquerque had lte yet (nope) but got this totally wicked surprise. Its close enough to instant wake now, before the wait was uncomfortably long. So even if you don't leave lte yet, don't wait for the ota just let kies make your phone better
Not really I still got the lag

Weird. Mine went from at least half a second to almost instant.
mine's pretty quick now
S Note is so much better as well. Opens the instant you press the button. The new widget is amazing as well. I love the update.
The only thing I'm worried about is the battery drain issue that came along with this update with the other carriers Note 2, S3 and other devices. Anyone notice it?

I still have lag.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
I've been reading about people saying the lag is gone but I still have it as well, when I press the power button there is like a .5 second delay before the screen actually turns on (has always been like this).
My lag is now gone also. It act's as if you press it twice because task manager comes up quickly.

I don't really have a feel for it yet, but I did notice more heat which implies faster drain.

So I'm not the only one who's been having this happen? It's actually kind of annoying that the task manager keeps popping up when I hit the home button. I thought it was only me but is there a fix for this or anything to stop it?
I'm having the same stupid issue! Man is it irritating.
This is the actual fix guys. See the screen shot. All you have to do is uncheck the home button activation for svoice. This has been a known issue since the S3

I remember reading another thread when the note 2 came out. Someone mentioned that it was an exynos processor issue. I'll have to find the original thread.

Quick memo takes a screen shot, and it is programmed to the button by default. Simply hit the save icon and select gallery to save the shot to your sd card.

I'm not running this ROM at the moment, so I could be wrong, but is it not in settings/display/battery notifications? I know that particular ROM is heavily debloated, so it might have been removed.
I've checked everywhere and I guess its been de bloated cause I can't see it anywhere.

battery notifications
Do you have the pop up notifications found in display settings unchecked? I'm running this as well thats the only setting I'm aware of relating to battery notifications. I havent had my battery drain down that low yet to see if it still beeps yet since its only been a couple days.

Haha good one. Just the basic greenify and the use of app quarantine to stop the stuff I don't use. This zerolemon 7000mah battery is just insane. With the stock battery I was charging it every 8 to 10 hours of use.

Yes sorry for lack of info. I was working and only had a second! I'm currently stock completely. Just got the phone yesterday from a friend who bought it but decided he wanted an iPhone 5s. I'm not using anything really. Made a phone call this morning for about 15 minutes. And a little texting here and there. But when the phone is screen off and sleeping the battery is just draining like crazy. I'll post stats in a second.

I believe it's power and volume down if you're on sense and power and home with aosp.
I disabled wifi so I didn't get that constant wifi notification crap. It helped a little. I plan to s_off and root the phone as soon as possible so I can start disabling things to help too.
