Q1. Like the galaxy s3, Can u directly connect a wired controller (ps3) and use natively with the note 2 for games /emulators ?
Q2. Can u mirror an emulator running on note 2 to an apple tv via airplay
Q3. Are there any non root solutions for using a gamepad with the note 2
What setups do you have with your note 2 im really intrested to hear for advice and ideas
I.e note to to hdtv possibly wirelessly to stream music to hifi like a cheap sonos
Thanks in advance
Does anyone have any info about this
I read up about mirrorcast comming soon an that the galaxy note will be supported
Anyone have an apple tv and has sucessfully mirrored there screen for games snes emulators with a controller ?...
Not sure about the rest, but you can use a PS3 controller for most Androids. Root required.

Although it is Bluetooth. Are you looking for specifically using a cable to connect to the phone directly?
I can answer your first question since I have tested it. You can use the PS3 controller using an OTG cable with Note 2. I played Shadowgun with it.

With all the awesome games available for this device, has anyone figured out how to get an operational gamepad setup with it?
Essentially, I don't even want bluetooth here - a USB mounted device would work just fine.
Here's a thread about this. Maybe it will help somehow. Tell me if u found any solution because i'm looking to buy a gamepad too. Just waiting for someone to get it right.

Xbox controllers are radio wireless and not Bluetooth like the PS3 controllers. Unless it's changed recently?

Nope, haven't changed it since 2005.
i have a wired xbox 360 controller that i use from things like COD on my PC.
Haven't tried it on my phone because im lacking a usb host cable thing.
mind you the first 2 COD games.
Also bought and just received the Phonejoy for Bluetooth play.
update just ordered a usb host cable to try the xbox should come in 3-5 days.
Im using a phonejoy and its awesome. Yea PS3 work, but on my SG S2, my rom didnt allow that so I had to buy a bluetooth controller. But now I still have it for my Nexus So I wont bother to change my PS3 controller IP everytime I want to play on my nexus and PS3.
is ROOT required?? i want to use a original ps3 controller to play games in my galaxy nexus but i totally don't want to root.
Here's a video tutorial and step-by-step instructions on how to connect your PS3 controller to your rooted Galaxy S3 or any Android devices.
I thought it was going to be piece of cake but actually took me a whole hour to get it working, so here's a video tutorial that could help others who might be having trouble:

Yup, sixasis is worth the $2. It's really like plug and play, just without the wires and you have to setup your touchscreen profiles.
But it's easy and it makes playing games a whole lot more convenient now without having to use my otg cables.

Do you have to be rooted in order to use sixasis app?

How well does this work for regular apps? I've only used the ps3 / Wii controller for SNES or N64 ROMs.

Tried it with friends PS3 controller, need only six axis app and a OTG cable. Also maybe someone knows if one can use the 3rd party controllers? 20 pounds is somewhat expensive for a controller(even a BT one).
thanks
which really controller do you recommand me ?
i looking now this http://buy.thegameklip.com/
and this http://www.mogaanywhere.com/controllers/moga-pro-controller/
i want 1 for easy use w/o root
One is jsut a holder that you need a PS3 controller to use, the other is the clip built into their controller. Depends if you want to buy a PS3 controller ot use or already have one.
As for if they need root, I don't know, but they are kind of two different products.
So if you want to play emulators than the second one isn't something for you. If you already have a Ps3 then the choice should be very clear.

xbox 360 controller is good I am using it too
These are cool I have never seen them before. I just plug my regular PS3 controller into it and set the phone up on a stand. It works with no extra programs which is awesome. Best is if you are rooted you can make the PS3 controller work with bluetooth and plug the S3 into a tv. Using a PS3 controller and seeing the image on the tv is pretty amazing and makes you feel like it's a real video game system.
i actually use the red samurai controller from gamestop...the great thing about it is that my laptop has bluetooth capability so i can use it on that as well...ive had it for about a year now and still runs like its brand new
I'd recommend the MOGA PRO series, really. It's quick and easy to set up & configure, and it supports most of the games.
The Galaxy SIII natively recognize PS3 controller via USB so it's still cool. Configuring bluetooth for the wireless one can be a pain, though (you'll need root access and a third party app)
As a side note, the MOGA CAN play emulators. The latest version of PSX emulators for Android already support this controller. As for the others (SNES, GBA, NDS etc) you can just manually map the buttons.
I'd recommend the Moga Pro too. Had it for quite some time and works like charm. Good to hold and play and nice battery backup.
I didn't know you could use a xbox controller. Looks like I will be trying mine.
I need Help guys
I want to use the "Modern Combat 5" or "Real Racing 3"
If possible without root...
Should work without any problem. Just plug the controller into the OTG and go. Depends on the controller but i never had problems with my Xbox 360(3 phones tested)

I just received my Fire TV from Prime Day. I have a FireStick and all I did on that was add Kodi. Since the Fire TV is slightly faster, I plan to run the SNES and NES emulators with my PS4 controller. I’ve seen videos on YouTube where people run it through Kodi and others with a stand-alone app. Anyone run them? What’s the best method?

Are you actually able to run your PS4 controller without massive input lag? I was trying to use a Nintendo Pro Switch Controller on a gen3 the other day and it won't even pair properly.

I returned a Nintendo pro switch controller due to its lack of compatibility and bought an Xbox wireless controller (latest gen).
The Xbox wireless controller works great with Moonlight/Steam via the FIre TV 4K. I've been using Moonlight more, as it seems to have better controller compatibility. Typically have to leave Steam, so it doesn't conflict with Moonlight's controller emulation.
