High usage of "Stay awake" in Android OS under Battery settings. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Can you guys please post screenshots of how much battery Stay awake is eating in your system? I am running stock right now. No root, no mods. Should my phone "Stay Awake" this long when my screen is off ? Is 24% use of Android OS normal? This was overnight.
Thanks.

On my phone, if I have Google Now setup it drains my battery like crazy. Seems like it wakes it up very frequently to get location data.
So if you setup Now, that could be a cause.

I have that enabled as well, but never had this issue using GNex. I googled this issue and many suggested to install better battery stat to figure out what exactly is keep it awake. Will post the results when it collects more data and when I have the culprit.

[Q] Fix for incorrect display % in battery usage stats?

Is there a fix for the underestimated display use of battery? It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying.

Thanks, but I prefer to stay on TW.
I'm hoping there's a apk/file I can edit. I just need someone to point me in the right direction so I can poke through the right classes.dex.

No. That is a Samsung issue. What Android System is displaying is basically every use of your phone. Any wakelock, display on, boot up, sync, anything needing an android driver, even charging because it has a script that runs. So Samsung believes this to be correct. Like a computer, Windows and it's drivers run 85% of the time versus the programs using processor power.
ICS ports and AOSP ROMs have redefined that to use other than those things above. The only stats you really need is display on time and percentage of deep sleep from CPUSpy for a given percentage of battery.

I feel my battery its draining faster than usual

Well I ve been In cm9+franco for long over 3 months now my battery was about 15 hours with 4 hours screen more or less but now it's draining way faster here some pics..
Could someone tell me what's the problem if any?

Pics don't work.
It is probably a rogue app.
Download a free app from market

If your looking for applications to see if apps are taking cpu cycles there is an android info app in the market that can show you all processes and cpu cycles...looking for something that stays near the top and thats probably the issue. Also make sure that you have google now disabled, NFC, and geolocation if you dont check in everywhere. These are built in "very nice" features but they constantly pull your phone out of deep sleep on the move...and god knows we all want 2 hours screen time :highfive:

Battery Problems...

I always feel like I get the worst random rogue apps in my battery statistics on all my android devices and it so off-putting. Its either Google services this day, android OS the next, or android system another day. Maybe I'm just dead wrong about this one but should I be getting better standby time than this? I feel like I should but I honestly don't know anymore...
*Edit* Screen on time is 19 minutes if that helps.

I don't think that looks too bad.
Google betterbatterystats xda on Google and download the free apk file from the thread.
Install it and let it run for a couple hours or a day and that will tell you what's draining your battery exactly.

You've only lost 9% in over 7 hours unplugged. Android OS only used 49% of 9%, which basically is less than 5% of your total battery drain in 7+ hours. Looks fine to me. Looks like you probably had some WiFi and syncing going on. Try it again with WiFi when you go to bed. I'm betting your total battery drain will be even less than 9%

Gps secretly on

Shows gps on and everynow and then the gps notification pops up so i know its not a graph bug but gps is turned off i even went to settings to make sure scanning is turned off too

Maybe a rouge app that can modify system settings?
Settings > Apps > Settings cog (top right) > Modify system settings
Also look at the apps that can access your location.
Turn off the permission for apps that don't need it.
Apps like GSam Battery Monitor might actually tell you what app is using you location.

Thanks ill give that a try and see if it ever happens again

I discovered the other day same thing was happening to me, got a notification from clean master n took care of it with greenify...my strange battery drain is finally gone! Standby time is so much better, phew!

Same issue here when I installed MapMyRide. It's been 'secretly' polling my location even though GPS is off!

Battery life seemingly worse even when not in use

My oneplus 3 seems to now lose battery during the day even if I don't use it all day (screen off).

Any ideas what could be eating up my battery? Looking at the battery usage, I don't see anything that jumps out, but it looks like a pretty steady decline.
Perhaps I inadvertently changed some setting?

could be ur location running in the background from google maps, u can download wakelock detector if u r rooted and that will show u what is running in the background causing battery drain, b/c u should be going into doze or download betterBatteryStats
Thanks. I did some more research, and looks like something is waking up my phone. The phone has been on my desk, not in use. So I don't think it's the fingerprint sensor.
This shows something waking my phone. From about 8 am onwards, the phone wasn't being used.
