[Q] Few Questions on Note II - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have recently purchased the Note 2 and had a Questions. Can I reduce the number of pages (Like I can easily delete them in the N8000)?
I would like to have only one however I could not find how to get only a page.

If you mean home screens just pinch your home screen which will bring up all of your screens on one page and simply press and hold the screens you don't want and pull them to the remove box

If you turn one of the main icons (like home, back, and recents) instead of the three dots into the menu button...you can unlock by pressing it.
But the navigation bar isn't visible on the lockscreen :-\

See...
I'm sitting here trying to remember exactly what it was.
And I believe it may simply be for devices with a "hard" menu button?
Sorry...don't remember when it was implemented and when this was answered.
Oh doesn't matter.. thanks for your help anyway

JB long press home

I just noticed when you long press home on JB it gives a kind of shortcut ring. All I see on there is a shortcut to Google now but it would be great to customize it

Also slide upwards from the nav bar and it opens Google now

There is already several threads for JB stuff. Why not use one of them?

Activate Multitasking using Menu button?

Hey all, been a while.
I've got a brand new Xperia S that I'm loving. What I wanted to know was if it was possible to make the menu key activate Multitasking instead of menu?
Basically, making it like the HTC One X, where menus are activated by the on screen ICS style, and the capacitive key fires the multitasking menu.
I've searched around and can't find anything, other than someone doing exactly what I wanted on the Xperia Mini lol
Cheers

Hi
I somehow now have a persistent icon for my files in the bottom left.

See pic below.
