Darth Stalker Theme Updated 10/23!

This is my first theme, made for Darth Stalker V3. It is a very simple but, nice theme. It changes Battery icon, Wifi, Signal. It is my first theme, but i wanted a different battery icon them what comes with the rom. Try it out and tell me what you think about it.

Donwgraded to cwm from TWRP flased and it didnt changed anythin....

Sorry, to screw up so badly. I uploaded a new file that should fix my error in the last one. It is my first time making a theme... please report back if it fixes the issue. twrp 2.2.2.0 or lower and CMW only. I don't think its compatible with twrp 2.3.1.1 but maybe some can confirm that.

im still hesitant to flash this because there are no screenshots.. so I dont know what im going to flash and if I dont like it the only way i can revert is if i reflash the ROM.. can you provide screenshots?

actually that is incorrect, the flash provides a backup for you. so all you have to do is flash the backup... simple and easy revert.
Please don't flash if you don't feel comfortable, i don't want anybody to feel pressured. i would of provided screenshots but, i have moved onto a new rom. Currently working on the jedi series, maybe ill come back when there is an update on the rom and apply more theme-ing with screenshots for sure.

I would love to see a screenshot on how this theme looks.

I just flashed this jovy and nothing happens when flashed except I started getting ads in my notifications bar, so it might be adware..

Your right, it wasn't working... So i flashed back to get a screenshot and made a new file to test it for you! Now you can smile, and be happy cause it finally work. Wish somebody would of said something sooner.

lol. that is way too funny. i flashed jovy's v4 rom, rebooted, flashed this theme, logged in to see if there was a v4 theme, saw the screenshot while waiting for the phone to reboot, it rebooted and I went into recovery, factory reset, wiped dalvik chache, wiped system and moved on with my life. Everyone's gotta start somewhere I guess. :laugh:

Your right they do. Don't appreciate negativity of I don't see anyone else doing any themes. Thought I would contribute. Won't bother sharing my new theme for v4 then. Thanks for your input those who did like it reached 100 downloads!

Yes. Try readding them. The samsung widgets should adjust automatically. Not sure about 3rd party ones.

When I can perfect it a little bit more. I will likely release it in my ROM first though. The issue I'm having is getting the 5th app to be in the dock on boot. You can manually drag it there and it stays, but no matter what I do in the CSC crap, it doesn't ever add the 5th app down there. So that is on my list of crap to fix first before it even makes it into my ROM

I just got my Note 2 yesterday and rooted it last night. could i Just flash this over stock rom.?

Did that and it worked perfect! Some widget just require reloading as in terms of removing and re-adding.

Techinically... It would work on a stock ROM because no smali code was edited.
But... I dont personally like the idea of mixing odex and de-odex...

[DEV] [MOD] [HOW-TO] Remove connection optimizer spyware - Note2 MA7

Please give thanks/credit if you use this in your ROM - Donations are also appreciated!
Some may argue this but I find the connection optimizer to be spyware'ish with everything it tracks does in the background. I can handle my WiFi connections myself and do not need my phone automatically jumping onto an open WiFi access point. I prefer to use a VPN connection when using open WiFi so all of my traffic is encrypted and prevents the script kiddies from sniffing my traffic in public places.
Connection Manager still runs even if you turn it off/opt-out. This fix will allow you to remove the ConnectionManager.apk from your device without causing force closes when going into your Mobile Networks settings.
Decompile SecPhone.apk (there a few files that need to be corrected to recompile. Search XDA as there are already threads on this)
Edit SecPhone/smali/com/android/phone/PhoneFeature.smali and modify the one line:

Yea digi great work yet again, appreciate you sharing it as well... Thank you as this type of thing is a big peeve of mine as well.

Glad to see you guys enjoy these. I have a few other ones planned. It makes things easier for devs to focus on additional features and not reinventing the wheel plus we have them documented for future ROM bases.
If anyone has any suggestions for mod guides let me know and I'll look into doing them.

First lets give a little shout out to digiblur for the original mod found on the NoteII.

So what I did is modify the smali coding to make this work for us on the Galexy SIII. As I found it to be a little different, I decided to write this for anyone who wanted this mod, but could not figure it out trying to use digiblurs method. I also find this to be a very annoying little feature....and a battery sucker as well. And because simply removing and or freezing the app will cause a fc in Settings/Mobile Networks.
This tut. will assume already that you know how to use apktool and or smali/baksmali.
Decompile SecPhone.apk or baksmali classes.dex from SecPhone.apk
Navigate to and edit smali/com/android/phone/PhoneFeature.smali
There are three lines that must be edited.

Now you can delete the ConnectionManager.apk from system/app folder without any fc in your settings.

Should work just fine in mb1 also, backup before flashing just in case though... BUT... I have mine frozen and don't get any fc, the option for connection optimizer is just grayed out....

Moar is still mb1 based. ...so I'm not sure about that. Make a back up first. The script will delete the connection manager from system app for you.

Hello everyone, hope you guys are having a great holiday season. Anyway I've been trying to theme the stock 4.3 secmms.apk. What I have been trying to do is make a lighter theme. I'm not the best xml or theming but I know the basics. My questions if you're willing to help.
-How can I change the blue header on both the conversations and messages? I would prefer for it to a light grey. It seems impossible to change!
- How do I change the boxes. I would like theme similar to the hangouts theme. Everytime I try the words go outside of it.

Yes, those are the headers I changed the colors of but it wouldn't change on my phone. And those bubbles would become distorted when I changed them.

I believe odex. It's rooted stock. I've changed others things like the calendar and it worked just fine. I don't know why this won't.

Did you resign the apk after you finished editing it? :silly:

Nope I didnt. I didn't know I had to do that for stock apps. But I will try to do that
