[Q] looking for a stable ROM with lots of features - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I was on AOKP for months but I decided that the random glitches and stutters were just too much for me. However, I LOVED the huge amount of features. CM is smooth as hell, but totally devoid of the super customizability of AOKP.
Can anyone vouch for a smooth, stable rom they're on that has lots of customizations?

just try codename android, its like aokp but very very smooth for me,...

Codename and PA

Codename android. Works amazingly well for me. One of the few roms which stayed for more than a week on my gnex. Give it a try.

Codename Android with Trinity kernel or Franco kernel.

SOURCERY 3.1!!! amazing ROM, most features you will find, and dev support is great!!!!
Not available if you're on sprint though.

Definitely minco, maybe not as much customization but it's like twice as fast as any other rom I've tried and amazing battery life

Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who wants a bare bones stock jellybean ROM that runs very fast as opposed to one loaded and bogged down with features?

Nope. That's exactly why I chose Purely AOSP as my ROM. Love the stock AOSP 4.1.1 experience.

I'm on verizon galaxy nexus and use the FNV community ROM. Its so fast and a stock experience. I've found the ROMs with tons of features seem to be a bit slower

Honestly none of the miui v4 ROMs are smooth, I loves gingerbread miui on my desire HD but since v4 its been pretty bad

Mind if I ask why you want miui when there's aokp and cm10?

It depends on the user. But the most mods I've found were in xenondHD, paranoidandroid and aokp

I've tried almost every ToroPlus rom and always go back to CNA 3.8.0
While roms such as Eclipse, Black Bean, Cm10, Paranoid Android, etc possess cool features and good performance, CNA seems to be the only one to put everything together.

I like sourcery based off of aosp and there is plenty of customizations for you to choose from. You can change everything you want about it and it doesn't bog down the performance. I use trinity kernel with it or ada kernel.

Try paranoid 2.53 I'm using it and he's very fast and stable

Thank u all... now am using xenon hd very good thanks for the update
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
For customization, NO DOUBT, Sourcery is the most customizable FROM THE ROM. This meaning minimal additional downloads/flashes, most customizations are available in the ROM.
That being said, I had kept going back to XenonHD, due to reliability. I have recently switched over to BAMF Paradigm, and am equally impressed by the reliability and performance.

Most stable rom for T mobil T989 ....

I tested tmobil, telus and koodo stock roms .. and find out that koodo rom 4.0.4 is most stable. I have t989ulvh tmobil baseband. Cirrently Running for over a week - no hunging, crashing or rebooting... no usb connectivity issues either... battery life is better then other roms. the only downside is no wifi calling and apn need to be setup manually.
Highly recommended for anybody who wants very stable rom.

this is just a thread that is relative to each user...opinion based.
you say rom A
I say rom B
someone else suggests something different. there is no best most stable rom.
personally, I just rooted the stock 4.0.4 t-mobile update. and flashed jedi knight 2 kernel (for BLN use)
My phone doesn't hang, doesn't crash, its smooth, no issues. So I can say that IT'S the best stable rom. Does it prove anything? nope

But, like HTCMDA said. This is all opinion based, not all phones are created equal.

Cyanogenmod 10 is absolutely amazing on the t989. It is extreamly stable and the best part is you can flash the nightly ota right in the settings. I have not had a reboot or freeze in well over a month and battery life is nothing less then impressive.
Im still using Gingerbread 2.3.6 because is the most stable ROM I ever installed. I have installed a lot of roms but almost all of them doesnt work like i want or have the features I want. Jedi Roms are my second choice but they need much Ram to work. I dont like CyanogenMod for the only reason I hate that I can not select more than one contact to delete and also I dont like de APOLLO music player... If anyone can help me about that I'll switch to Cyanogenmod, Jelly Bean or Slim Bean....

Stock vs CM 10.2

Hi,
I'm currently running stock on my Nexus 7. I've owned an android device in the past before and flashed CM to get the very latest features that would have likely taken months to reach my device otherwise. My question is, now that I have a Nexus, is flashing CM even necessary? We already receive the latest updates first. Is there any sort of performance improvement/stability improvement to using CM?
thanks!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
also confused. wondering whether nightly is stable enough for daily use.
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium
Its perfectly stable. Pie controls and the "remove all" button while multitasking sold me. Paired with faux's mainline kernel I'm getting great battery life.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It's still worth doing so for the nice extra features. I use CM10.2 with Faux123 kernel.
