I know that they usually don't include that in us model phones, but it would be a shame because I'm seeing a lot of the apps just attach to things like Samsung Keyboard and extend functionality, or be customized for S Pen. Can someone chime in? I would like to answer a question for someone who asked me if they're gonna get Samsung Apps.
yes I have it and it consumes too much resources for the 4 apps it has

Thanks for responding. Good to know because I had a SII and a SII Skyrocket, and they wouldn't put Samsung Apps on there, so I missed out on a lot of free apps.
free apps? try blapkmarket or aptoide dont waste resources with sammy

I just rooted my device and am looking to uninstall some stock apps. I found some sites for other phones but not sure if different phones make a difference. So any recommendations would help. Thanks

I just have a couple of dumb questions.
Do the motions being active consume battery?
Do I have to engage anything before tapping my screen to send a file to another phone? (or is having that check box enabled1 enough?) also is the Galaxys3 the only phone compatible with that feature?
The commercial where the guy just swoops a document from his phone to the tv... What's the process for that and I imagine it only works with certain tvs after an annoying registration /setup process.
Are they working on improving svoice or is that not a huge priority
Is there a voice dialer like on froyo that doesn't require the internet to do phone functions? I don't like relying on 3g.
I'm sure I'll think of more, but I apologize if this is in the wrong thread. Please just let me know and I'll copy paste to the right one.

You have to turn on NFC and s beam then go to gallery or something to the file you want then put the phone back to back and then then phone will say touch screen to beam
You can get Google now with the offline pack. Its in the themed and app section
We don't really know what Samsung's priority are. With Google now out we can only hope Samsung trys to stepup their game

Oh ok thanks. And 1 was actually about whether or not the motions being in burnt up battery life. I'd still love to know.

Yes motions can cause battery drain.

Well dangbi like motions. I'll turn most of em off but there's a couple I love so ill just live with it. As for Google now, I cannot find it in the themes and apps section.... Direct link?

Hey guys, just quick request on my part. I was wondering if anyone could upload the stock Samsung apps (specifically s voice and memo) for cm10. The only link I found to them anywhere was a drop box that had been removed or deleted at some point.
Thanks much

The stock Samsung apps require the TouchWiz framework and will not work on CM10.
In the other thread I found it seemed to be working for the other guys. But isn't Google now supposed to work in essentially the same way? Although googles servers are on the fritz right now

Do you mind linking me to the thread? I know most stock features like Smart Stay and the wave hand over phone won't work on CM10 and when I originally did my research before flashing CM9 I was told very specifically that most of the stock Samsung apps were built into the TW framework.

From July but it seems like s voice was hit or miss from the responses

I vaguely remember that thread. I think there were so many bugs and things going on people just gave up trying to force it to work. If you're just interested in S-Voice and Memo try searching the Play Store. You won't get the exact apps, but I'm sure there's similar apps that have the same features. And now that Google Now is working on CM10, I really don't see too much of a point in S-Voice.

HERETry this one.
I have a Sprint note 2 and my friend has AT&T and he doesn't have access to some Samsung apps like photo editor. It says it is not compatible with his phone. Also his Samsung apps store looks a lot different. So,How can an app not work on the same phones?
samsung gives in to requests by the carriers and blocks or adds certain things. that's why only our note has any hope of ever having Google wallet
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
Oh. So no update, headphones, or certain apps? At&t sucks! Lol. Is the a way to get the photo editor apk for him to download?
For some reason Flipboard has stopped working today? When I tap on it it says "application not installed" even tho it is? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but can only "uninstall updates".. But for some reason the widget works? I'm on AT&T stock.. Not rooted.. Anyone else experience this? Something I'm missing?

Ok all... So never mind? Got an update to Flipboard this morning and all is well.. Beats me..
Mods feel free to close.. Thank you!

I'm wondering if this is akin to operators, or even apple on ios, being able to revoke/remove/disable apps without your knowledge or consent.
Do we have a big brother switch?

I've given up on Flipboard since the new version of Google Currents came out, complete with widgets and support for breaking news.
Flipboard's cute animation doesn't make up for its relative weakness (IMO) in managing both "standard" feeds and any old RSS you might want to bring in.
I've had the same issue...
The solution is quite simple...
You'll have to delete this shortcut... And re-add it again from the app drawer...
