[Q] CM10 issue with recent apps - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

It's not really a bug or anything like that, it's just that I don't like having the app that I'm currently using in the recent apps list because I tend to close it down without really thinking (guess I'm used to stock)...
Is there any way to disable this feature?
Edit: I'm using paranoid Android but seeing as that is based off of CM10 I'm guessing the problem lies there.

It's a bug i think, when you press recent apps too fast.

No, it's always there...
I'm guessing it's a feature.

It is not a feature, my active app is never in the recent apps list.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus

My active app is never on the recent apps unless i switch apps and immediately press recent apps again.

Weird, so any idea on how to fix this?

Nah.
You could do a nandroid and try factory resetting and see if the problem still persists.
If it's still there then restore your backup, nothing to lose except for a little time.

Oh, right, nandroid, I didnt think of that, thanks!

Mine's the same (PA 2.51), I can't recall if this was the case on CM10.
Purely speculation, but it might be so you can access the Hybrid Properties (long press the app in recents) of the active app so you can make changes on the fly (?).

Pressing messaging gives me another app?

Anyone else seeing this?
Today whenever I press the messaging icon I get the last app I had open instead.
Very strange.

I've seen this with Google Music. I've force stopped and cleared data but the problem randomly comes back and I dont know whats triggering it

For me, the best working solution is to press multitasking button and swipe away all the apps.

Thats what i did too
At first i tried to open my music, it opened my google voice instead :/ but thats the temporarily solution i suppose :/
This has not gone away. Even if I try to access messaging from the app drawer or recent app list it doesn't work. Hitting back cycles through other apps, does not help. The only way to access messaging is through the people app or through a notification.

Try rebooting it?
Like someone said, swipe away all the recent apps.

i have this before..clearing your Download Manager data from system/apps will eliminate this
Didn't work

It will download from the market just fine...just not through the browsers....stock and chrome

i even tried flashing another rom and its still doing the same thing
This happened to me on and off with both Chrome and stock browsers throughout tthe period of time I was using AOKP roms (not to say they were the cause - I never used others long enough to notice and my current MIUI just handles it totally differently). I used Crystal Downloader from the store. There are other apps but I stuck with this one. The dev is very responsive. I know it sorta blows to have to get an app for something that should always work, but on the bright side it does perform the downloads much faster ^_^

thanks for your reply...tried that and it worked...
but i did end up just restoring back to stock, relocking the bootloader and starting over

Try to copy, browser crashes

So this has been going on for a while and I've just ignored it, tried to search up a fix
But couldn't find anything.
Anyone else had this problem?

Sorry. I use Chrome and dolphin.
Also I'm not rooted either.
I know there was a small update a while back but if I remember correctly it didn't start right after that

I had this happen a while ago. The clipboard was corrupted. There is a procedure to clear it. I will look for it.
Edit:
Take a look at what I posted over here:

Let me know (and click thanks) if this fixes your problem.

Are you rooted? You can clear it without a reset if you are rooted.
Edit: Just saw your later post that you are not rooted. Some have reported that they could clear the clipboard by deleting items using Polaris Office. You might try that but it did not work for me.

Music cutting out

Hey guys. Just solved an issue with Pandora and not being able to create stations on the newest Pandora and being rooted. Now the only issue I'm having is my music being cut out whenever I open an app or really any button that isn't the main home button. It cuts out for like half a second. It's really annoying is anyone having or have had the same issue and any solutions? I thought it was just cyanogen mood but I've installed different roms and no go.

Are you on 4.2.2? Those roms are still a little buggy, so make sure you acknowledge that when you're using one
I had this issue using the BMS kernel. I switch to ktoonsez and it fixed the issue.

GNEX not updating any app

Hello
I've been trying to update several apps here and for some reason it is not working.
This started to happen after I saw the upgrade notice for Android 4.3, which I haven't been able to install either.

try to clear the data/cache of the play store and reboot after that.

I don't think there is a known fix for this that works for everyone. Actually it is possibly an issue on Google's end. http://productforums.google.com/d/msg/mobile/2UKJ7ZyIav0/jHQD4F7QAhAJ <-- that thread has quite a few things you could try, as well as more links to look at.
Perfect
And it was surprisingly easy to fix, just remove, and readd the Google account.
I feel dumb.
