I came from the S3, and as we all know Tmobile gave us The Avengers for free in HD and SD. I logged into my media hub on my Note 2,but for some reason can only download the movie in SD. When I try to download it in HD I get download fail... Anyone else having this problem?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
A related question. How much longer will the movie be available for download? This might help me decide if I should just buy the Note II now or if I should wait longer for Walmart.
It will always be free for Galaxy S3 owners. I dont know if its free for Note owners.

It was specifically for S III owners as a promo, so would not have expected it to simply work on the N 2. I offloaded the folder with the avenger HD and just for laughs may put it on the Note in the same position to see it it works. Will post if it does.

But a quick phone call to Samsung would tell you, even though it was a S3 promo it should work on any Samsung product now. I called 3 times and was told that all 3 times.

Are people able to check if the redeem to own option is still there? I just got my Note II, but I don't see the ability to download the movie for free anymore.

This is a link to a youtube video (my first) I just posted. I think it's a pretty cool feature of my S3. A member of AVS Forums shared an app with me called Samsung Smart View, it wasn't available in the Play Store at the time and I still don't think it is. In July I purchased a Samsung PN60E7000 and got the S3 on launch day. I was looking for an app that would mirror the phone on the TV screen like the Allshare Cast Dongle but it wasn't available at the time. This does the mirroring in reverse, shows TV content on the phone instead and allows the phone to be used as a remote for the tv.
Anyway, thought I would share. If this is old news, sorry.

:good: nice. Where did the guy on AVS pick the app up from?

He shared it with me via Google Drive, I still have the email and the link he sent me.
It's also in the Play Store

Edit - Hm it shows as L710 not being compatible, wonder if this is intended for Int'l version :/

Thanks! Do you know if it mirrors all apps? Ideally I would like to use it to play rented google play movies on my big screen.
I just tried and it's a no go. It's not working at all since I rooted with the multi view add-on. Device dhcp error. Seems like I need the 4.2 update as someone pointed out. I'll try messing around and see if it works.

Android3220,
Question for you. When you reset your allshare cast dongle does it turn blue for quite a while or does it turn back to red pretty quickly. Mine turns back to red pretty quickly. I tried connection from my note 2 within 2 mins after reset like the instructions told me to and it still doesn't work.
Hi all,
I have just ordered my Note 2 two days ago.
I already have got the 48GB of free dropbox space, when I upgraded my Galaxy S2 to the Jellybean leak.
But I was wondering, will I get another 48gb of dropbox space (a total of 96GB) when I set up my note 2??
Thanks
Cheers
Corey

I started with the standard 2gb.

October: I logged into Dropbox on my Note 2, which gave me a total of 75GB in total.
Same account used. 75GB total.
Hi,
Thanks heaps guys, I just wanted to know if I would get the extra space, as i have a lot of wallpapers (over 15 thousand of them) , so thanks for the replies,
Now I just need to receive my device (courier services suck)

You need to sign in to your Samsung account on your phone (built in app) and also use the drop box app that came on the phone.

just wondering what happens when the "limited time" offer runs out; I can't remember if it was 24 or 48 months. Will the account then revert back to 2GB (of whatever you had before you used the Samsung offer). What happens with the data that exceeds the previous limit?

Has any one developed an add on for S Voice. In the past I had a Iphone 4s and jailbroke it. Then added some files for Siri. When you launched Siri I would say load brain and Siri would be much funnier, and have great comebacks. Is their an android version?

If the GNote 3 looks anything like that I'll be buying one the 1st day it comes out.
The only thing holding me back getting the S4 is USB mass storage. Not sure why Samsung does not allow that.

Rumors say that it's benchmarks are lower Sg s4
Sent from my LG-P765 using Tapatalk 2
Benchmarks are double that of the S3. Battery is slightly better. My only complaint about the s4 is that sSamsung bloated the software so much that only 8gb is available on a fresh device. After removing bloat I was able to get it to about 9.5gb but that's still not much.
I only got the s4 because my daughter needed a new phone and I wasn't going to pay for another s3 when I can pay a little more for the s4 and pass down the s3 to her. I will still be around the s3 forum as there is 2 of them in the family.
As for the note if I am not wanting something that huge. Might as well carry a laptop or a tablet and put on Skype or something similar

I bought some ebooks with the Samsung credit we got with this device. But I really don't want to read on such a large tablet. Can I access these books on another device? I would rather read on my Nexus 7, but I can't figure out a way to get my books there. I couldn't even find a way to access the on Samsung Note 8 tablet. It doesn't seem reasonable to sell books that can only be read on a single device, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out how to access content I purchased on another tablet.
Thanks

Facebook? That's the only reference I can find to "fBook".
Btw, I tried installing Samsung Hub on my less than one year old (rooted) Samsung Note 8 and it installs but crashes on opening. Same result as on my Nexus 7 with build.prop edited to look like it's a Galaxy S4.
It is just insane that Samsung sells ebooks that aren't compatible with their own tablets.
How can I ever trust Samsung enough to purchase anything from them if what they sell isn't even compatible between the same family of devices of the current generation?!?

Right on the rooting, nothing special. FBook is the reader I used, it is no longer available. There are others that provide that option though.

Are you saying the reason the Samsung hub app crashes on my Note 8 and Nexus 7 is because they are rooted?
I still have made no progress accessing my ebooks I purchased on my Note 10.1 (2014) on any other device,
Any help is appreciated.

It's probably framework dependant just like a lot of the TouchWiz apps. The note 8.0 should have Samsung hub by default though, assuming you haven't debloated it.

I agree the Note 8 *should* have Samsung Hub, since it is a current generation Samsung device in the same family of tablets, but it doesn't. And it is not even listed as compatible on Samsung page:
http://www.samsung.com/us/samsunghub/
Which is why I'm at a loss why anyone would trust Samsung to buy anything from them if their own tablets aren't even compatible?

Are the books as single files? As in can ou browse for them on your device?
Or is it purchased through an application?
I use a combination of google drive + Moon Reader to achieve some thing similar.
All my books are on the google drive and moon reader + syncs my reading position so I can read on
Various devices
