I've upgraded my GS3 to the latest Jellybean firmware. When I had ICS I was able to replace the Samsung browser with the Stock Google browser. However I'm unable to use that app with Jellybean
I would appreciate it if somebody could find a way to achieve this, or point me to a guide. I've searched but been unable to find anything
Thanks in advance

Probably not due to the fact that mms is really tied with framework. You could try an JB touch wiz rom like tweakwiz Jedijelly embryo, etc.

I don't think SMS touchwiz would work on aokp or any aosp rom.

You can get it to work if you modify/add framework2.jar and SecTelephonyProvider.apk from the same ROM you take the SecMms.apk from. If you are taking the SecMms.apk from an S4 ROM then grab the mms-common.jar instead of modifying framework2.jar. All these are TW mind you...
Hey Guys...
I am currently on PA (latest build) and I was wondering what rom you guys would suggest that
lets me continue to HDMI mirror?
I would like to use PA still if I can, but I dont think its possible? My thinking is telling me I need to use
a rom that is built completely on source... Could someone please help shed some light on the subject?
Thank you!
to the top!!
Try this add this entry to your build.prop "ro.hdmi.enable" and set the property value to "true", reboot. should work

Thanks for the help guys!
Unfortunately it doesn't work on PA
HI Guys, maybe someone can offer a little insite to my situation.
Well, my wife has the same phone on latest Sammy ICS (through Kies) ... I checked with her phone just to make sure, and it HDMI mirrors no problem..., but me being on PA JB (1029 build) can not...
through my research, it seems that this may only be done on Stock kernels?
So, in this case does this mean I can only use a rom based on stock kernel for now? (meaning limited to GB and ICS) Or is there anything along the lines of CM10 available that will allow me to do so? The reason I ask is because I'd like to stick with 4.1+ because of the more tablet like interface for my application.
thank you,
FWIW I'm running faux15 and have no issues with HDMI.

I know what you're asking, not sure why it won't work for you, but I'll look into it.

Edit: I have had the same issue, it may just need to be resigned as 4.2.1 as opposed to 4.1.2

I recently, without thinking, deleted the stock calculator app and voice recorder on my phone. *facepalm* Can anyone provide a link to where I
could download the stock AT&T Galaxy s3 calculator/voice recording app?
Have you searched for stock apps in the themes and apps section? You may find what you're looking for there.
