[Q] question about launcher - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Is ( go launcher ex ) use RAM less than Twlauncher which comes with the phone

Go Launcher EX is one of the most ram-consuming launcher out there.
TwLauncher's ram usage varies with different version but is definitely less than Go Launcher EX.

thanks

Go launcher is a good launcher, but I second the above opinion....and the more "go" addons you install, the worse the RAM usage gets.....
I have been using NOVA, but atm, I'm using TREBUCHET.....It seems smoother than NOVA....

[Q] What launcher do you use?

What launcher do you guys use on your Xperia Play? Recently I have been debating between Go Launcher Ex and Adw Ex.
Adw ex imo is better I use loads though always changing it up.

I have Go Launcher and ADW, but LauncherPro is the one I like the most.
Very smooth, and allows some customization options that GoLauncher and ADW don't.
Launcher 7. Smoothest and the least laggy launcher I have used. It almost feels hardware accelerated because it's so smooth in all its transitions/scrollings.
Not everybody likes the wp7 layout. But I do. Very fast and functional to use.

I always used pretty much all of the Go apps on my LG O2X.
However on my play managed to get adw ex for 12p and I really love it. Seems smoother than Go. I like being able to resize the icon sizes.
The only thing I do miss is being able to put folders in the app list like you can in go. Handy to have all games together etc.
i used 360 (very good even in beta) with stock rom but now i have cm7 and go launcher
ADW Ex is great on the play. Very fast and snappy.
I'm running the free version of ADW. I like how you can organize your apps into different groups in the app drawer and then put a shortcut to the groups on your desktop with Launcher Actions.

I use launcher pro, its smooth and gives great customization

I always used Launcher Pro on all my devices, but I much prefer Go Launcher with my Play. Go looks great on the large screen and it's easily the most functional of all the launchers for me. Plus Launcher Pro seems to have been abandoned while Go is in active development, with an update roughly every week or two
iam using the stock cm9 launcher. It works very well and very smooth

ADW Launcher EX. I was so close to switching to Go Launcher, but ADW udated with ICS styled folders

Was using LauncherPro for a while, then tried GO Launcher. Now I'm trying out Zeam. Decent little launcher. Small footprint. Downside is it crashes a lot and redraws take forever.
Might go back to GO Launcher.

What is your favourite Launcher?

Just thought I'd ask what your favourite Launcher is and why. Been playing around with different Launchers over the last few days and I've found that Nemus Launcher is the best one due to 4.5mb RAM usage!
I always used launcher pro because it runs really smooth. After switching to ICS i am now using the stock launcher.
Even without updates launcher pro is working with ICS but you can't use the calender widget. LP will crash immediately.
Nice! I'm still using Sebs sense 3.5 ROM. ICS is too buggy for me to use as a daily driver. Nemus Launcher is very light on resources and therefore more free RAM compared to sense
Stock / Launcher Pro.

Launcher Pro even though I'm not very satisfied with it. It runs really smooth but has some bugs and crashes sometimes. When CM9 is out I'll probably use Trebuchet.
I like the Go Launcher. It has some nice customizable options, and I found a real nice theme to go along with it.
Definitely Go Launcher Ex. Lots of options to play with, and very theme-able.
ADW with ADW.ICS Sqrd Theme ... I love it !!!!!
I loved ADW but now I'm using stock ICS launcher.

I use the market ICS Launcher.
Only google's default ICS Launcher works better. They make it possible to put more than one app in every launcher button.

WFS: What launcher

Please advise the best launcher for WFS, considering battery consumption. I use this ROM: [ROM] EQDKP Sense 3.5 - GB2.3.5 idogx base - OC [m1ndh4x8r mod] and GoLauncher, but battery life is realy short (16 hours). Thanks.
The only reason your battery life is short is because of the battery in the Wildfire S....it's smaller than it's predecessor!!!
My friends wildfire lasts easily up to a day but my wildfire S is in the same condition as yours....So your battery pretty much ok in terms of its capacity
Use zeam or launcherpro.

I second the notion of using Zeam. I like it because it's light and does the job.
Try Nemus Launcher it's pretty good.
I tried GO Launcher, ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro and imho the best is Launcher Pro, it's faster and better looking.

The issue with Launcher Pro is that it hasn't been updated in over a year, so it's not really worth paying for. ADW Ex is more or less the same (the last update was a sham to give the illusion the app was still being actively developed during the android market promo in december), which is a shame. ADW Ex And LPro are about the same in the performance department, but ADW Ex does offer a lot more features such as a opaque app drawer. I never really liked the lack of padding the dock icons receive in ADW Ex (so I hide it), but it instead gives you a great amount of control over how the desktop icons are displayed.
The thing that really irks me about Go Launcher (other than the privacy scandals) is that you're always left with a gap for the desktop indicator, even if you hide it. So if you use a widget that takes up the whole screen, you're still left with an unsightly gap at the top.
You can try Launcher 7 - it is very good and fast launcher

Yes, i also love that launcher.
Nemus is a good launcher too, but even though LauncherPro isn't updated anymore its still great.

Best Launcher

Hey,
I'm currently using the stock launcher.
What do you think is the best launcher for G9?
I heard about Nova, Apex, Go, Trebouchet, which one do you think is the best?
I'm using ADW and love it.

best launcher
Hi All
it's been a while that I've been testing different launchers both on my galaxy s2 and archos g9,
Here are some of my thoughts:
Go launcher HD - very beautiful and quick launcher, many customization and the brilliant feature of creating hand gestures!!!
Although medium amount of screens and icons per screen, but all in all it's my current launcher on the tablet.
Apex launcher - it's the heavy duty, the real deal for all the professionals out there - tons of screens and icons per screen,
A lot of customization, many ways and styles to scroll the screens (advantage over others), but lacks the creativity of go launcher's learninggestures. In conclusion - super pro but medium graphics... it's my current launcher on galaxy s2.
Nova launcher - disappointed of this launcher, it's a lame copy of other launcher. Medium features, medium graphics and creativity.
Stay away of this.
The verdict would be go launcher HD for tablets - beauty and power
Go launcher HD +1
I use Go Launcher HD.
I just wish I could apply a theme (transparent) to the GO Calender Widget. Otherwise it does exactly what I want from a launcher.
Go launcher +1

Apex
I love Apex launcher due to his tweaks. Definitely try it.
So after your recommendations - I did installed Go Launcher.
And I think it has the advantages over other launchers.
Many cool widgets
Cool Application list
Very iOS like behavior
So for now, i'm sticking with this one.
I was using go launcher on my archos and my galaxy s2x. Both were slower, with more crashes using it. Went back to stock and smooth as butter again. Its just extra bloat and using resources that could be used better in the running of the system.

Go Launcher Vs Nova Launcher.

I'm trying to work out which home launcher is better.
I paid for nova launcher prime. Also got Go Launcher. Also looking for good themes and icon packs.

Go launcher sucks. I would stick with Nova. Go launcher is bloated slow and ugly lol. Just my opinion though.

No contest, Go is made for crappy 2.3 devices
It should be Apex or Nova not Go.
Go Launcher's pure of crap.
OK I'll use nova. Just looking for some good themes and icons.

I love go launcher ex. Sure when you first load it you have to dump all the widgets, but so what? Works awesome once it's set up. And it's free, along with hundreds of free themes.
NOVA > all period ! and the go launcher themes works with nova ( lest the ones i tried )
One more for Nova I think is the best launcher for our Nexus phones I use it first time on my Galaxy Nexus and stick with him until now.Go is slow and eat many rams.

I prefer nova because it is lean and uncluttered. Go launcher is made for Gingerbread or something and annoys me with all those other Go apps they advertise for (Locker, keyboard, wallpapers, task manager, widgets etc.). For me a launcher should be built upon the AOSP one, otherwise it destroys the experience.
However, there is one big difference: Nova only supports icon themes, whereas Go can be themed entirely. (drawer tabs, dock separator etc) But you can achieve such theming level in Nova by installing themes for the Tmobile theme chooser which is integrated in every decent custom ROM. If you do that, not only nova, but the whole framework and many apps are themed too.
AW: Go Launcher Vs Nova Launcher.
I don't like the icon order in Nova, I have Nova and Apex , Apex is my favourite .

It was updated a couple of months ago and is very good now
I have bouth nova pro and Apex Launcher Pro and i think nova is a little bit faster, because when i wake up my device and scrolling throw the windows, i have some micro lag (Nexus 4).
Nova is by far my favorite, I haven't use go launcher since I had my Nexus S. For fast and an AOSP like experience I'd suggest nova.

No love for action launcher
Wish he had a free version for people to check out. I like it pretty smooth
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
I'm gonna have to say differently, I love Go Launcher, always been one of the best launchers on Android because it bring a unique and extreme customization to Android. Nova is a awesome launcher if you intend to run a pure android experience but with tons of customization. I have always gone back and forth from Nova and Go but since Go Launcher had an update to their UI last year I have been reporting a specific issue to them but they still have yet to fix this issue, so until they do I will not use it as my daily driver. I do have hopes that they will someday.
I find Nova less smooth than the stock Nexus launcher tbh
I tried them all and using Apex now. Never had any problems and its packed with features I use.
