Link what you flashed to cause that. What theme?

I tries this once, take out the battery then hold the volume up and power button in then insert the battery, the moment you see Samsung let go of the buttons. Hope this works!

What rom did you flash thru cwm2.x?
Edit; I think I missed that, you where just booting into cwm via 3 finger and it didn't boot into cwm?
Edit edit; if you pull the battery and try to boot into cwm again, does it still get stuck st the samscreen?
How can I use the pc if I cant boot the phone to the main screen will it still work. Im sorry as you can tell I'm new to this

When I take the battery out and try the three finger boot it just stays on the samsung screen it won't go into recovery mode
Ok here are some vids, the first one is how to root without a pc and he also made how to use odin. Check those out and come back here if you have any questions. Your phone is recoverable, it just may take a bit of work.

Lol.....chances are you may have missed a tidbit of info. Check out odin then, it sounds like it may be your saving grace, also there's an odin thread in the development section. Its all up to date.
Edit; here's the odin thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052813

Try flashing zedomax v3 kernel with odin and see what happens. Or if you have cwm recovery download a rom wipe cache and flash it.
can i just flash the rom like on the evo from the sd card??? in clockwork mod??
i put a rom on my memory card but when i go to clock work mod it is not there......

I am stuck in a perpetual loop of moving threads to Q&A! What should I do?
Oh - yeah - move to Q&A. Silly me.
I think if I'm not mistaking you have to put the rom in your internal memory NOT the sd card. Try that
how can i put in on the internal memory if it's stuck in boot loop???
Can u go into recovery? Of so go into recovery then USB mode
ok i am at the clock work mod recovery screen now what do i do???
ok put it in usb mode but the computer is not even recognizing that's it's connected
i will never flash or root my phone again this is ridiculous.
Do u have the drivers installed? Make sure the drivers are installed, or try a different wire
phew even though i had done it before i flashed the stock kernel waited and i'll be darn if it didn't boot up.....
cool. next step: click the thanks button a few times for the kind soul (aaron130) who patiently stuck with you as you worked it out
Good glad your back up and running. I know the feeling u had and it SUCKS

OTA broke root procedure?

I've been trying to root my TMo GS3 since about 445am this morning. I can get into download mode, I can flash the .TAR. Phone reboots fine, When I reboot into recovery, I get the stock recovery every time. I've tried a few different versions of CWM and TW and I get the same thing every time, Nothing. I bought this phone used, 2 weeks old, and it has 4.04 on it. Anybody have any insight for me? This is not my first time tinkering either. I've been here since the Sprint Mogul, and I can usually get it figured out. But this time, I'm stumped. Any help?
ADDED: I've also tried "Flashed with ODIN agian, latest CWM Touch 6.0.1.2, deselected AUTO REBOOT and F. Reset TIme, waited for it to PASS installation, pulled battery " and it still DID NOT WORK. Got that from here http://androidandme.com/thread/att-galaxy-s3-wont-boot-into-clockworkmod-recovery/

all you guys posting to move thread or close thread you know xda has a "report button" that works faster?
Strange but are you using the right usb cable? I had similar issue with odin not pushing through with root cause I was using my galaxy s2 cable. I switched it to my s3 cable and odin pushed through and have root from stock

UPDATE...I used this method and it worked
I think those are for the original build LE6 though.
Use odin to get your recovery installed but uncheck auto reboot.
When done unplug and hold power untill the screen turns off. Immediately let go of power and then press and hold Power + Volume up + Home. (Be quick)
When you see blue text flash on top of screen release power but keep holding other two until you get into recovery. (You may not have to keep holding home and vol, but its always wirked for me)
Now flash your SuperSU/Superuser and reboot.
Once booted delete/rename these files:
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
This will stop stock recovery from being rewritten.
Now using goo or rom manager reinstall recovery again if you so choose.
Hope that helps.

Lmao....I figured a bad backup can only mean a bricked system, not a phone. You should be able to properly transfer your backup or flash a rom to get going again.

How's the battery? Was it low when you went to recovery? Do you have access to a spare one?
Sometimes, the problem is only the battery.
