[MOD] Beats Audio

This is to install Beats Audio mod on your phone. just wanted everybody to have this info available if you want it on your phone.
Includes:
$ Beats Libs
$ Beats Bins
$ ETC files
$ SRS
$ somewhat of a .jar file
$ new HW files.
Highly recommend this audio enhancement!!
I can confirm its working using player pro with dsp manager
Running Dan Brutal's ICS rom UVLC8 TMO leaked base
Confirmed working for ROMChicagoRemix with poweramp- thanks lawstudent for confirmation
With UCLE2 try .0317(SGS2) but have heard 5.1(SGS2) works as well
but should work on all roms
CWM 5.0.2.7 non-touch
Instructions:
1. Always make a nandroid back just in case you want to go back/ take it off
2. download "BeatsAudio5.1(SGS2)"
3. Place on external sd card
4. Boot to recovery
5. Install zip (will have script saying installing for i9100)
6. Reboot
7. And enjoy
Known Issues: Poweramp could force close. Breaks Bluetooth on some phones
The beats emblem will not be displayed in notification bar

Beats audio by Dre?? The beats audio software that's in HTC phones? Please post a screen shot where its at think we're on 2 different pages. Because nobody has beats audio by Dr Dre in any Samsung phone that I know of

Go to play store look up beats audio download it install the zip and the flash in cwm

I downloaded it from XDA BeatsAudio5.1(SGS2).zip running on DW 2.7

Well I heard of people running ICS and their saying its works better than running it on GB .....but always back up before doing this just in case it doesn't work correctly!

You wont see it, it runs in the background. It has no controls or anything and you cant see it running

It's not an app, mate!
Just fire up your music player of choice--with decent headphones, I'll add--turn it up a bit, and enjoy.
Some would say that having DSP Manager helps, too.

You can try any of them but this is the one that worked for me on ICS. Like always create a nand backup first

Is there a DSP manager with beats or similar that will work on stock official ICS? If not can ot be done?

Try volume+ , some may differ but in my opinion is just as good

Try the Awesome BEATS package in the apps forum. I've had it running on both CM9 and AOKP.

Lol it has to do with the player mate im pretty sure if you installed the beats mod it works. Just no way of adjusting eq...

Correct not all apps are created equal. Pandora also has a similar issue. Beats mod works because you no longer give the apps a choice to pick the lib to use. Unfortunately, it also takes away my choice. You can play with your libs, get an eq that works and see why..

Which Audio Enhancement are you using?

Hey Android Gang, I miss Beats Audio and doesn't seem to work with this ROM. Which Audio Enhancements are you guys using? Looking for a good one that makes a noticeable difference.

I'm using the Beats enhancement that was posted in the N7100 section. What happened when you tried to follow it?

Ya can install beats DSP and Sony walkman with that pimp my ROM aroma scripter. I was using it for a while and it works good

It installed but didn't hear a difference compared to when I was using CM10.

Some of the features are nice like how it adds the sound apps and some of the memory optimizations. Some of it seems placebo just watch what ya check off for internet connectivity cuz it can break access to some websites I've noticed

Im using ac!d ver 2 along with Noozxoide equalizer that I downloaded of the Market
And it works pretty good.I like the clean Bass I Get.

I've used both...king beatz 3.0.3 and before worked better than acid...louder crisper sound..the updates after weren't good tho...and it doesn't work with Pandora

King beatz test 3.0.5 test1 sounds great but you have to remove dsp, beatz, or any other mod. Works with noozxiode though. PowerAmp, Winamp and Apollo all work on my phone.

So you installed 3.0.5 AND noozxoide? And i agree the new updates haven't been that god since he removed Kingbeatz and added some other equalizers.

3.0.4 working fine even with Pandora. I removed all the previous DSP files prior to the installation. The bad news is lots of hissing sound if the surround mode turned on. Bass quality is sub-par compare to the earlier version.
I like 3.0.3 combined with eizo better in overall performance.
Edit:
Just found on galaxy note thread there are mod flash version of eizo providing deeper bass performance and eliminating fc issue. I completely uninstall beatz & DSP manager and deleted libs and init.d tweaks prior to flashing. My audio works much better now.
