Introduction
AFWall+ is an improved version of DroidWall(front-end application for the powerful iptables Linux firewall). It allows you to restrict which applications are permitted to access your data networks (2G/3G/4G/LTE and/or Wi-Fi and while in roaming).Since the original author of Droidwall
discontinued the project, I decided to keep the app instead of Avast Firewall. I'll continue to add more features as I can.

Thanks for feedback... I've updated the second post for changelog.
Please check the same.

It works fine, but highlights in red makes it difficult to read. Maybe it would be better just to have red font for system apps without highlight. Of course, this is only cosmetics. Will post further as I use it now as main firewall.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk 2
Ok,thats correct. I'll make that change, even with custom color option.
Thanks for the feedback

Great man, and all thanks goes to you. Avast was killing my phone with firewall enabled. Let me know if you need any particular feature tested.

@vault1965, Added custom color options to highlight system apps from preferences and removed the RED background. Hope that helps. Thanks for your inputs.
here are some fr
Hey, very good app. I like apps that doesn't consume much resources on my devices and that's why i prefer this app here.
Here are some feature requests, i know the list is pretty big but most of them are important:
* translation support (e.g. to translate the app into german)
* google play store support (when the app are nearly "final")
* saving/loading profiles
* select all / select none / invert selection
* backup and restore rules (the most important point for me)
* IPv6 support (also vey important)
* Tasker/Locale Integration
* Orbot (Tor) support (because of some problems to connect into it)
* an Option for SSL/TLS only connection
* tablet interface support
* special rules for VPN
Here are some bugs or problems i found (some of theme are small and easy to fix i think)
* Apps can bypass droidwalls whitelist if started before droidwall upon boot
* On Jelly Bean the user interface looks different (a picture above explain it better), maybe remove the black background and the red one, and make it so that only the text have different colors and not the background
* The Widget needs to much space, the icon takes 4x1 for me (see screenshot)
* The notification about new apps only show one, but if you install right after that another app nothing was shown up
* In the help dialog there is an google code link, seems that that link does not work maybe you change this to the github repro
Thank you for that great app!
Well Koch beat me to it, but I stand behind all the points that he made. If you can make all of this happen I will be a happy camper.

Thanks for the list.I fixed the following issue, please get the latest apk ( fixed along with vault1965 issue) . I've been using DroidWall for last 2 years and most of the issues that you reported was in my mind.
I'll set up the github with issue tracker, so that we can track the progress better.
"On Jelly Bean the user interface looks different (a picture above explain it better), maybe remove the black background and the red one, and make it so that only the text have different colors and not the background"
The only thing I'd request is keeping application size small since it's always been a reason to use DroidWall as simple but always a install asap after ROOT, I'll give this version a run later when have more time and update post.
@stylez, I agree. I'll try to keep the size minimal
great
Omg this is so cool. I was looking for a great firewall application since I switched from MIUI to Cm10 on my defy. Keep up the good work.
Version 1.0.1a with select/deselect option is up.
Thanks!
Hi, just downloaded your app. Im glad that someone work on this perfect firewall. Will try it and see whats new. Couse my beta miui have no working firewall. Cheers
Edit : i' got constant fc on v1.01.
Sent from my LG-P350 using xda premium
Running cm10 nightly and it only force closes on me. Even after i uninstalled droidwall and reinstalled your apk. Looks very promising hope the problem is fixed and thanx for the app.
I can confirm fc on latest version.

Now the defy's MIUI is under alpha test,there's only 23 people can test it right now,but may be this friday,defy'MIUI test will into beta test.as i know,they will use the CM7 Beta 5.1 and make it more stable.
here my known bug list:
1.wcdma sim card may reboot during call,both you call and you answer
2.flash not word during recording
3.shutdown itself when you turn on Flight mode

Hi guys,
it started with the search for a shortcut for the "secret" Samsung *#0*# dialer code, to enable the hidden Samsung LCD Test App...... and it ends with a little app called "Hidden Features Free Sammy Edt" ...(special tailored for the Galaxy S2)
This app provides a lot of hidden (stock) firmware functions with just a few clicks:
* Samsung LCD Test + Quick Test Menu
* Data Usage Status
* Phone Lock Status
* OTA Firmware Menu
* Change Browser UserAgent
* HSDPA/ HSUPA Menu
* RF/ Base Band Menu
* System Dump Menu
* Android Info Menu (including disable GSM)
* GTalk Monitor
* Show Android ID
* etc.
Check it out:
...discontinued due to changes in samsung firmware
There is also an ads free PRO version available, but please try out the FREE version first, to ensure that these hidden functions are available on your device .....

Thanks,
But it doesn't works for me. I click in differents buttons but it does nothing.
I don't know if could be because I have installed a MIUI Rom in my Galaxy.
Hi mmm286,
yes, it is probably because of your custom rom ... This app uses hidden features within the Samsung stock firmware ... no Samsung stock firmware --> no hidden features
But you can try the second tab (with the little Android ) ... Perhaps the "pure" android features will work .... but again depends on your specific rom ...
feedback would be nice

ascsa

-> New Features via custom codes tab:
- Manage (Add, Edit, Delete) carrier specific (USSD) codes
- Manage device/ manufacturer specific codes
Or use the custom codes tab as a simple, hidden, non-sync (Google, FB, WhatsApp etc.) phone book ...

Added shortcut for ICS Rocket Laucher
Enjoy this little hidden ICS gimmick
* Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.x) only *
any feature requests?
OK,
made some ICS related updates and fixes and said "Goodbye to the Menu Button"
Not only is this a cool app, but for some strange reason, it enabled the STK (sim toolkit) for my sim which was previously hidden somewhere on my phone. I am using a rooted Galaxy 2s shw-m250s Korean variant, with Villain 3.0 rom, and all functions worked fine. My unit is flashed with DCKL1 radio for "T" models and PDA I9100XXKI3.
Hi drummer, thanks for the feedback! Glad you like it and it solved a problem..

Hmm, still waiting for the official ICS rollout for my SGS 2 .....
Does anyone know which hidden touchwiz features still work on ICS ?
(LCD TEST, Test menu, Phone lock status etc. ????)
regards
ascsa
Yes, they still work, but not all. Cannot push your app to the phone to test right now, unfortunately. For example the LCD test works, but 8999 codes don't (taken from here).

Hi vaxxi, thanks for your feedback!
I think the 8999 codes never worked on my SGS 2 .... like some other codes from the list ... so I think this is not a ICS related issue, but I could imagine that samsung removed some of the codes working on a 2.3.+ device ....
OK my aim here was to make a really clean rom, basically like CM7 but basing it off a stock rom for stability and battery life. I have taken most sense related features out to hopefully create a really lightweight rom. I will remove more htc stuff as i find better alternatives.
Features
Latest m1ndh4x8r kernel
Apps to SD
Rooted
Deodexed
Busybox
Swap support
High performance OC deamon installed
GO Launcher EX installed
Advanced Power menu
Go Keyboard
Go Contacts replacing dialer and htc contacts *No dialer bug*
Custom themed to look more like stock gingerbread/cynogenmod
ROM NO LONGER HOSTED/IN DEV
Please reply with any buys or issues so i can get this rom as small and fast as possible.
Changelog:
Beta 4:
Removed more apps, thing like talk, facebook ect. You can find this in market (included)
Updated to latest kernel
Changed HTC keyboard for GO keyboard
Replaced calculator with cm one
removed most htc wallpapers, when i find time ill most a link to them if people want to download them
Beta 5:
Fixed Wifi
Changed back to htc keyboard
removed more apps
removed all but default ringtones and sounds
Beta 6:
Added advanced power menu
Replaced htc keyboard for GO keyboard
Fixed browser
Fixed contacts (hopefully)
Beta 7:
Add htc flashlight app
Modded to look more like CM/Stock gingerbread
Added Go Contacts ES
A couple more bits of bloat removed
Added GPS patch
Beta 8:
Fixed gapps issue
Beta 9:
Add tesla led app
Add ES file explorer
Fixed installation of apks in data/app
Performance tweaks
Beta 10:
Rebase on stock
Advanced Power Menu is missing atm
A lot of the perf tweaks are yet to be reapplied so things may be a little slower atm
Known Issues:
Go contacts is broken still, this looks like its going to need a little more digging. Next release im going to add back in htc contacts so its at least usable
USB storage does not work but has been reported to work if you mount the sdcard in recovery. This is not a guarenteed workaround and im working on a fix.
Using Personalise inside settings does not work. This is a bug due to the removal of roise.
Thanks:
d33ps1x for fixes and testing
HTC for a wonderful phone and base
m1ndh4x8r for his kernel and advanced power menu
UOT for their theme kitchen
crypted for GPS patch
Trying it out now....well right after I try out mine.
Updated to beta 4. This removes a lot more stuff and has a newer more stable kernel
go!keyboard's process crashes repeatedly.
Can't enable wireless and usb connection (mount sdcard, works charge only).
Missing Contact app from beta 4.

Nice, how is the rest of the rom. Dialer, contacts, email, browser, camera ect?
Added screenshots of rom thanks to d33ps1x. So what do people think, do people like the sense theme or would people like a more CM7 look?
Ill do beta 6 tomorrow once ive had some rest, changes include the return of the Go keyboard (thanks to d33ps1x for the fix) and contacts and browser fixes (back to the htc versions for now )
Ive also added a poll to see which launcher people want to see with the rom, i can do multiple versions with different launchers but its nicer to all be on the same rom. My personal favorite is GO launcher, its nice and customisable. ADW is nice but i cant bundle the nice version (EX) with the rom as its payware.
Looks nice
But what's about Dialer battery drain issue - is this fixed?
Please integrate the german dictonary
It looks nice but the browser crash all the time.

ATM i am still using the HTC dialer, but ill see if i can find a nice dialer to inlcude instead.
Ok this build should be more stable. Browser and contacts should be fixed. GO keyboard has been placed inside data/app so it may be removed for swype or another keyboard if you prefer
I hope to add Go contacts next build, i ran out of time and could not find a link to download the apk. This will fix dialer issues and is themeable to match go launcher.
Great release, thanks. Fast and stable.
But there are some problems
- Where is Contacts app in menu?
--- How to manage the contacts in this rom?
-USB problem persist
-many applications are out of date
-Add music/video player
-Torch crashes, please add this:

I am trying to get the apk for go contacts, hopefully i can download it off my phone and just pull the apk out. Contacts therefore atm are broken.
For the usb issue, does it not show as an option or does it just not mount it to you pc when you try and do it?
Ill try and get some newer apps in the rom once we have all the core functionality there.
I might go back to stock htc torch it works well and is small. All this feedback is valuable to me as I have limited access to a wildfire to test on so it makes testing things out hard. I wont be able to get a release out for another 24hrs plus as im travelling but one i do i hope for it to be as solid as possible
I would recommend Nemus launcher--it uses less memory and battery than Go EX, but is more feature-filled than Zeam.

ill have a look at that launcher tomorrow and see what i think of it.
As for the usb issues ill have a look at it and see what i can do
Rom is not uploaded yet but it includes go contacts and dialer, so there will be no dialer bug. It will also have htc torch back. Later ill look and see if i can find the cause of this usb issue or at least find a workaround for now.
I have built Android 4.2.2 from AOSP and produce a working ROM. Currently there is no big problem and can be used as a daily driver. Please report in this thread if you encounter any problems.

if you need help or questions about any fixes, talk to mmuzy. I know its for the galaxy nexus, but I'm sure the bugfixes for aosp can translate over
Struggling to find issues with this, but it's only been an hour or so.
WELL DONE!!!!!!
Regards.

Since Galaxy Nexus is maintained in AOSP, it should work without fixing anything. Anyway I will build for Galaxy Nexus and test to see if it has any problems. Thanks for your suggestion.

You can try to restart Wi-Fi as I describe in the issue list. I think there is something wrong with Wi-Fi and entire system resource is consumed. Restart Wi-Fi make it back to normal state.

Thank you very much. I first started by installing 4.2 gapps on top of previous version of CM10. Worked pretty well. This is very nice. I will have to update all the software later in the day. So far all working.
Great work bro! Is it possible to make for the Xoom 3G MZ601?
Sound interesting, lets give this a try

I have noticed this. Since I didn't see gesture input introduction on Nexus 10 page, I think maybe gesture input isn't available in large tablets by default. Will check this after finishing the essential part of this ROM.

I have built Android 4.2 from AOSP and produce a working ROM. Since there are many small problems, I suggest using this ROM only for testing purpose. Please report in this thread if you encounter any problems.

Great ROM and congrats on being first. I am having trouble seeing my files and writing to internal storage after having flashed the ROM. On the storage section of settings I can see how much is used and how much I have left but the amounts quoted and what they are allocated to appear to be incorrect. Using file explore and or root explorer I can not see files or items stored to internal storage. Strangely however my pictures that I had stored to internal storage show up on gallery....!?

Due to the multi-user support, the internal storage structure has changed. Generally speaking, data originally located under /sdcard have been moved /sdcard/<number> based on your current user number (started from 0). The storage summary shows storage size used by every user.
There is also another problem due to recovery. Currenty recovery wipe all content under /data excepts /data/media on factory reset. On Android 4.2, when system boots it checks if /data/.layout_version is existed. If not, it thinks user are updating from old Android version, and move content in /sdcard to /sdcard/0. If you factory reset several times, the content will move to /sdcard/0/0/.../0. ClockworkMod developers have made a workaround of this issue and hopefully every recovery will support Android 4.2 soon.
Great thanks for the quick response. Found all my stuff under the file marked 0 under sdcard .
Very good rom, gtalk video and sphere does not work: (, everything else perfect

Be careful, I think that this ROM is a fake one, as about 4 of the OP's threads were already shut down. I know I won't be flashing it. Heads up.

It means flash. But I highly recommend not downloading, brushing, flashing or whatevering this ROM. The OP posted like 4 "ROMs" in one day here already, and all those threads got closed. It's a little fishy if you ask me.

I think he's posting some of the custom roms on xda.cn with roughly translated OP's
@OP; stop!
