So I recently changed roms from jb sourcery to xylon. I was screwing around with some features. The one that screwed up my status bar was the custom carrier label. I chaned it, then the status bar disappeared. I rebooted, power off/on, and even changed the carrier label and still not there. Can anyone help?

I did the same thing, but no matter how many times I click the option (Settings>XYE Tools>>Status Extras>Hide Statusbar) and restart the phone, it never comes back.

Ok, that was quick. I changed the UI setting (Settings>XYE Tools>Hybrid Properties>UI Mode) to Phone (300dp). For some reason it was on Tablet (720/1000dp). this fixed the problem.
What exactly does this function do? I swear at one point I could use it to make an area of the widget not respond to a tap at all (preventing the widget edit window from opening), but I haven't been able to use it as such in quite a while.
Not sure if everyone else does it this way, but the way I add "hotspots" to my widgets is via transparent rectangles over the areas I need the function for. Also not sure if hardware, somehow, would make a difference but I'm using a Verizon Note 2.
I'm looking for a solution as well

You mean DISABLED?
It doesn't do anything, literally. If you chose that for your widget or module it means that when someone clicks on it, it wont do anything! It wont go to configuration screen or to anything else. At least that's how it is in my case, I'm using ZW PRO v2.42
Couple software issues I don't care for. Mainly with the email. If you are sent a photo in email it automatically downloads it, which makes it show in gallery. The email app does not show folders. Way too much VZW bloat!
I'm not a fan on the size of the phone. Coming from the M7 I actually liked the size of the previous model. Just seems a bit too big for me. Also hate the fact that the boot loader is locked unless I'm missing something. (vzw)
The power button move to the top-right is driving me insane. My finger reaches the top-left much more naturally (right handed).
The camera is passable, but I REALLY wish there was a bit more resolution for zooming in on images. iPhone5s has the right idea here (8mp with larger than typical pixels).
Double tap to sleep would be nice (especially since I hate the top-right power button). I find it interesting that double tap to sleep works on the lock screen, but not in the launcher. Hmm.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, my email app shows folders fine. Bezel-swipe in from left to see inboxes, there is a folder icon by the email address. Tap that and it displays the list of folders for that email address.

Also, I have like 50 folders in my email and all I see in the mail app is inbox, trash and sent.
I need to look for that photo sync option in gallery, I've been all over the phone and dont see it.
Yahoo was setup as POP instead of IMAP. Email folder issue saved. You also have to manually enter IMAP and SMTP settings for Yahoo email if you decide to add.
I love the phone, but so far:
I can't add reddit to a main feed for blinkwhateverthingy. I don't want the other crap.
The lock screen clock/weather is transparent. The home screen one is white (anyone know how to fix this?) I want them both transparent.
No dev unlock of course.

No double tap to turn off (booo).
Gallery creating a friggin light show with my pictures. Just give me a folder view please.
All relatively minor complaints. Best phone I've ever owned so far.
I guess my biggest complaint is the camera. It's a decent camera, but as others have pointed out, the low MP is offputting.
I also don't like the bezel, I don't hate it like some others... But the HTC branding on the bottom could have been taken off to make the phone a little shorter.
A minor dislike is the lack of a bootloader unlock. Not a big deal as the phone is new, but since it's Verizon we will be waiting.

The two main things for me are 1: battery life doesn't seem all that good to me which can probably be fixed with a kernel or new Rom and 2: that they took out the feature that sense 5 had were you could put an app on the home screen and it takes it out of the app drawer. Other then that this phones pretty beast. I average 25-40mbps down which is beast as hell!!! O and I think the camera is pretty ballin' especially the front facing one. No other phone takes pictures that good in the front in the US
The size is the biggest thing. Loved the size of the original. Plus LG G2 size was perfect for me at least. Oh well, maybe next year.
Anyone have any idea what the write type/create icon when you are in camera shots of the gallery does. It makes a process bar start to go, but I have no idea what it's creating. On the other side is a speaker icon, if I hit that, music plays..WTF! I just want/need a regular gallery!
Innate that I can't just double tap to wake up if it's sitting on my desk. I also hate trying to get to the power button so at least the double tap is perfect. But right now, if you don't move the phone first the gestures don't work.

Huh. Here are pics of my inboxes and folders...odd that yours don't seem to be syncing up. Unless maybe only outlook emails do?

That doesn't actually bug me that much, I just tap toward the side of the screen so the phone rocks a little on its curve. That's enough to wake it to scan for taps. I'm used to triple tapping from my g2 not liking double taps anyway.

It's working. Yahoo setup as a POP will not show folders. I had to delete and add again.
Not any big upgrade comparing M7 ..except Screen ...almost same camera..same resolution...etc

Hey all,
For some reason, on my Note 7 when I pull the stylus out and write on the screen off memo feature, I cannot press the buttons at the top (i.e. pin/erase/delete/save)!
It *did* work, but a matter of hours later I can no longer access these buttons. I wonder if another app is inadvertently blocking them?
Any ideas? Cheers.

I found that I have to double tap them, I think that it is that way to avoid unintentional touches

Hi to everyone is my first post in this forum, and since less than one month i own an LG G6 DS so far i'm quite happy with the phone but only one thing i'm not realy happy is the softkey i would like that they disappear specially when i use Chrome or social network APP like Facebook and so on, so far i was able to set the immersive mode for few APP (Facebook, Google Maps, Chrome, ect...) the problem that i had is with some APP one for example is Google Chrome where i can't get full immersive mode i just keep having a black bar on the top of the windows and a black bar on the bottom, the softkeys and status bar they hide properly but in stad of getting the full screen covered by the web page a get a web page with 2 black bar on the top and bottom of the screen.
If someone as some idea any help will be appreciate.

Open "Phone", dial this *#546368#*870#, go to SVC Menu, at the end there is "Force Long Display Mode", turn it ON. Reboot and enjoy. There was a thread for this thing already.

This setup looks more than amazing, I mean really LG should have done right out of the box. However I do want you to keep in mind that this mode drains a profound amount of battery (in "Android System"). I only tried it for 1 day and go back to normal immediately. Good luck

I really don't understand why LG didn't make like Samsung at Galaxy Note 8 where the "Control bar" can by hide in the in the app just by a single double tap on a specific portion of the "control bar" very cleaver and simple and functional.
Hopefully they will do something like that with the nest firmware update probably when we will get the Android Oreo update for our LG G6.
