hey everyone.
if really could someone help me with finding a stock DHD rom with sense 2.1 android 2.3.3 flashable zip i will appreciate that.
btw you may ask why i want a stock one ! , well because it's really boring trying customs roms and everyday there comes a new one with a new look and something you may want to try , but at the end you will never satisfied because they all have some issues somewhere.
anyway thanks.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1610483. At the bottom of the OP is a list of stock ROMs.
Last stock was sense 3.0
+1 Look at the thread that bananagranola send you above.
Put attention on the sense 3.0 roms that was last stock released instead of sense 2.1. In this most popular is Android Revoluton HD
Also you have a section with RUU and stock, in this i recomend the rooted version by nitr00.
Happy back to future.

Just flashed my Kitchen rom. I chose to remove sense and all I get now is a black screen with the status bar. The hard keys dont do anything either. So can someone point me in the right direction for a 2.1 rom with no htc sense.
Plz no froyo roms it has to be 100% stable and working.
Thanks
Dion.

I cant do anything on it. Its just a black screen. Menu key doesn't work as well as the other keys. The only thing I can do is flash a new rom. But I would like to find a 2.1 rom with no htc sense first.
Thanks anyway though for replying.
I second that. I hate the HTC UI, default android UI is much more cleaner and to spice it up you can just install some widgets (and use launcher pro).
Anyways, I have tried out all the Froyo ROMs and were very pleased with them. Unfortunately I can not use them because of the echo/noise problem
So as doinbox, I am also after a defrost, ShadowFrost etc ROM based on Android 2.1 I can only seem to find Froyo versions on the board here.

If HTC make a official rom, htc sense will be included, if not, never
Dev make rom with AOSP (Android Open Source Project), not with Sense
Sorry for my poor English, but I hope you understand ...
Edit : there is a lot of ROM in 2.3 just read, only one thing doesn't work ATM, this is the Camera.

I sort of understand.
I understand Sense isnt included and yes, that makes sense (no pun intended) as it is HTC's baby.
Then my question would be better suited as:
Are there stock 2.3 Android ROMs? Most ROMs I see in the developers section have stupid modifications and addons that I can put in myself. I want something stock and then Ill add the neccessary addons/themes if I want.
Look at Oxygen, it's built from source and is pretty much stock 2.3

I would wait a while yet I have tried Oxygen and although it works it not yet a viable replacement for a good Froyo ROM. I guess that as the maonth progresses things will change and Gingerbread will be good enough for every day use but it's just my opinion that it still has a way to go.
Thanks for all the replies Its a shame Sense isnt open source but there has to be a sales pitch somewhere.
July is being said for a update to 2.3 so...
Hi.. Anyone who knows if there is any custom kernel in the making for the Gingerbread roms??
Especially for the CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V5.1

I think mike, the maker of Android Revolution HD, had something on his thread regarding a custom kernel in the making. But I believe that will be for his rom ARHD 4.0.
Im also running coredroid v5.1 and im using the newest radio, 26.08.04.07_m3 and it seems to be pretty good. I think you should give it a shot, and you can always switch back if it does not work out.
We need the source files for the kernel from HTC before any custom kernels can be made. The source files will be released some time after the official gingerbread updates have been released.
Edit: You might also want to try the search function before you start a new thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025335

Okej I will try it out & see how it works out..
But is there anyone who knowes where it comes from???
In the radio thread it say that it´s not fully tested and so on...
have U hade any problems with it??
Until HTC release their official Gingerbread OTA, i do not think there will be any custom'ed GB Kernels yet but now we just have a "prototype" one. As usual.. we have to wait. Im not sure about myself too.. would prefer to receive some comments too. =)

that is a good place to start - although some of the links are incorrect and I think some are in the wrong categories which is a shame
lothaen, thanks i gave it a go, i have come to the conclusion that i hate sense, i love the way it looks and the customization, but when you get down to the nitty gritty things, i hate it lol

fair enough, i want to like it tho

Same with me.

I love sense and I will go back to it at some point, waiting on Droidzone to update his gingerburst RoM. But at the moment am using MIUI data2ext and its bloody great, love everything about it, at first it looks abit iphoney but you can download alot of themes and change the look.
So try MIUI
No Sense no HTC. If you want no sense buy SG2
And BTW LeeDroid rox
Cool AceS Mix v2,very fast
but no chinese touch input
Beso your hardcore mate, if i can get a sgs2 for £150 of ebay i would mate, but to be honest i hate samsung stuff so it'd be an opx2 for me mate
actually i have tried the 2 hd senses, they feel very laggy to me, is the normal senses a bit faster, i might give them a go, just to spice things up, but even tho i hate apple stuff, i love the miui rom, so classy, i might find a sense rom for backup for when i have an urge for it
The only thing why I would consider miui is auto brightness which works fcuking awesome with it. Otherwise, I'm sticking to my Sense integration wrapped in my LauncherPro theme
im downloading leedroid 3.0.8.2, not the hd one, i'll give it a try, what would you say is the best sense rom? non hd? iv come from having a wildfire, blade and pulse, one thing i will say is that the dev community for the desire is amazing, so many devs, roms, kernels, the works, we are very lucky to be spoilt and have so much to choose from.

Can you Please Post Questions in the Q&A forum Thanks
Moving to Q&A
the first rom i installed was gingervillain 2.0
ive tried several roms, coming and going between them, they all had advantages/disadvantages. but i always keep ending up installing gingervillain. its does everything i need, its quick, it's sense-less (personally dont like it) and as yet, i dont think ive encountered a bug with it.
now running gingervillain 2.7
Redux 1.2, awesomely fast! original android 2.3 without sense or any other big additions. Clean and stable! no bugs so far!

All sense ROMs are a little bit laggy as they kinda bog down the OS.. if you want a very fast and stable ROM, try an aosp ROM like CyanogenMod7.. its awesome! I've heard Oxygen is also very good, its what I'll be trying next

Hi,
i'm using Android Revolution HD 6.3.1 with awesome success - thanks mike1986.
i was looking at leedroid custom rom and noticed you can have custom lockrings for his rom. i tried on ARHD 6.3.1 and the phone got to the lock screen but that was it.
i've searched the ARHD dev thread but found no answer, can custom lockrings be put onto ARHD, and is the a guide on how to make them, or a list of them?
thanks

That is due to the new base the rom is based off of. That version the coding changed and the older lockscreens don't work.
ahh, thanks, makes sense.
i'll wait and see what happens unfortunaltey coding does not run in my blood!
Yeah they changed the code for the HTC proprietary files that have not been cracked yet.
oh right, i thought it was just modifiying something, i guess with ICS in betas everywhere, this might not be looked it.

Oh no do t think that. There are those that don't use CM based roms. Me for example. Some really like sense. I use it as the OEM bases have better drivers then the AOSP. To be honest I have been able to get the old lockscreens to work on the new base but am looking to make sure there are no issues. I run a senseless rom for the most part so I am not sure if it works with all of sense still installed.
cool, i'll keep an eye out, see what happens.
thanks very much for your help
Keep the good working
we all wait for your work
thank you
hopefully soon...
