I did thinking it was Jelly Bean but it turned out to be something 'else'. Not sure what but the Android version is still 4.0.4.

I keep hearing that this update is needed to get the future JB update. My question is will i be able to root my phone if i apply this update?

Can I just use the OTA Rootkeeper for keep my phone rooted?

Do those of you who used Root Keeper have the stock recovery installed, or do you have CWM recovery installed?

I think that instead of updating you should throw your phone at your wall as hard as you can.

I need it to be fixed fast since I will be trading this phone tomorrow.

Clear market data, if that doesn't work, factory reset, if THAT doesn't work, reflash, if THAT TOO doesn't work, flash other firmware.

I keep getting a notification to install this update. Will I lose root if I install it? What is it, just a new radio? It's the 3mb file.

If you're rooted, do you have the stock or a custom recovery installed? If it's custom then it won't go through. There is a flashable MB1 AIO zip in Freeza's thread. Simply flash that in CWM or TWRP and you won't get the notification anymore.

Ota update.

I am running tpr 3.11 what will happen if I install the android update that my phone just notified me about?
Thanks for helping a noob
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU DO THIS AT ALL. But most likely it would just fail. If you want to get a ota go back to stock recovery and not a custom ROM.

Finished upgrading and I didn't notice any difference between .244 and .267 battery life seen to improve a little bit. That's the only thing that is noticeable

Does the root method in .244 work for the new firmware ?
Can anyone upload the ftf?
anyone knows where I can find this update for the C6502 unbranded? thx!
OK, so anyone see anything different? I dont see any difference at all.

You already did. If you are certain your device is the SGH-T999, and not any other variance, grab the LJC (or MD5) standalone in my signature and flash it.
Thanks the LJC standalone solved the problem
