been working on it.... using root explorer and the APK from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365360
and these Build.Prop edits
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro
I get to this point...

which makes no sense, since i have my Gmail account associated.
EDIT: downloading Google Wallet from the play store gives me this after making the build.prop changes
"Insufficient secure element privileges for this system image (release-keys)."
I keep getting the released keys thing no matter what while changing the build prop to the nexus while on the note 2

between this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769083 and this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1902311 makes it look like we have the wrong libnfc file for Google Wallet to work nicely.
going to try pulling the libs from a international SGS3 and pushing them to the Note II to see if that makes a difference.
I'll try that as well.. thanks man

so far it's not working. pushed the same files in the update.zip from the first post (but the I9300 equivalents) to the phone and NFC doesn't show up anymore in settings.
Google Wallet gets to the point where it's ready to go though..
backtracking now to see which part borked it

these might be the files we need. hard to say for sure. but i'm not making any progress. so i give up.BTW, pushing just the libs alone was enough to lose NFC in the settings, and cause some other weirdness like 'shell' gaining superuser permission over and over again.
did all my testing with root explorer, might be the cause of the problem. don't have ADB setup infront of me..
I tried to do an adb shell push and it keeps messing up my NFC. It weird because when I lose my NFC I can start the sign in process on wallet but when NFC works I get that stupid release keys... ISIS it is then lol

I've actually gotten to the point where all my cards that was used on the playstore were already loaded in wallet and just had to pick the one i wanted to use. But then after closing the app i kept getting Unfortunately NFC has stopped working when ever I enter and close an app.
Try this, the easiest. Got this from att thread, just download and flash those files at the middle of the page.

Working on my end, I'm on jedi master 12.
Here ya go, really simple.
1. MaKe a copy of your build.prop for later use.
2. Make sure clear data and un install wallet app.
Flash zip part 1(reboot and set up your wallet account).
3. Flash zip part 2 (you r done, but that's at&t build prop).
Copy the build.prop back, reboot and done with working wallet.

If I tell s voice to navigate to something, it works fine. If I ask it to find a store or location then it will load on a black screen and eventually FC.
I know there is no support since these are pulled from an unreleased phone, but tht I would share my experience.

I'll just leave this here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/81287587/SMemo/SMemo.zip
This is the SMemo.apk, SMemoProvider.apk, and the related odex files. Enjoy.
I couldn't get SMemo to work with my E4GT on CM9 a4. The APK may need to be modified for our DPI or something. I'm going to poke around and see if I can't figure it out.
UPDATE: After poking around, I have found that the SMemo.apk uses the TW libraries, so those of us on AOSP ROMs are SOL when it comes to using the SMemo app. Anyone on a 4.0.4 TW ROM should be able to run SMemo by pushing the apk and the SMemoProvider apk to /system/app.
I recently installed Wicked ROM v7 on my S3. I saw that T-mobile has a new version of their Visual Voicemail in the google play store (version 3, released Nov. 7th 2012). However when I try to download to my device from my computer's web browser the play store says "This app is incompatible with all of your devices." If I go to the play store on my S3 and search for the app it doesn't show up (presumably b/c it thinks it's not compatible). Is there a way to manually download the APK file to manually install from my SD card?
Thanks

I was JUST about to ask for this .apk as well, good thing I searched. I am having this problem as well on Slim Bean, assuming it's because the buildprop is listed as ATT.
Can anyone please post the 3.0.11.1 version?
Interesting.
Down in Mexico with data roaming turned off, on a wifi connection, stock unrooted LJ4 firmware. App doesn't appear for me in the Play Store using my phone.
However, when I log into Play on my laptop, the app appears, and says it is "Installed", but also says, "This item is not compatible" with my SGH-T999, and won't let me choose to install it.
Currently installed version on my phone is 2.0.28.
Don't be so quick to get it.....read the reviews first. Universally panned as not working right on the few devices it is compatible with.
I just noticed this too. It's in My Apps in the play store, but not compatible with my device. I just went back to Wicked, v7 too.

Well I would like to try it out myself to determine if I want it or not. But maybe this isn't a problem with my buildprop, but it actually isn't "compatible" (even though i'm pretty sure it would work) with our phones?

Don't think it's buildprop as it's not working on stock unrooted. I think this version is flat-out incompatible, possibly even a test version released to just a few models for bug identification before wider release.

Thanks for trying anyway.
Long story short, I've been running the latest version of Mack's ROM, which is awesome, along with the modified APK of Google Wallet that we all know still isn't officially supported. With that said, this Apk has been running for me without a hitch. I even used it yesterday. As of right now, out of the blue, it's giving me the dreaded "your device is not supported at this time" message. As far as I know, I didn't change the ROM or anything else other wiping the Dalvik cache\ cache, and installing a new battery. Anybody else having an issue?
Mine also stopped working...

If you are running a MA7 ROM, you do not need to use a modified wallet apk. The regular R96 apk works just fine.

So apparently it's not just me. I've always used the aforementioned apk, and after a reboot it suddenly stopped working. I'm thinking maybe Google patched the workaround. Either way, I hope there's another way or our Note 2 becomes officially supported.
Fr what it's worth, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Nothing has worked.
Same here. It's being blocked for everyone now. It works at the places that only require one "wave". Like at gas stations. Tried it this morning and although it worked I got this message and can no longer access anything on the app:

By the way, as I've stated before, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the APK. This means it hasn't reinitialized, meaning it probably won't work for me again. Correct?
This is my current screen, which most likely is identical to everyone else's.
Just flashed the newest version of Macks All Star and re-setup google wallet. Setup for wallet went as normal when changing ROM's no issues or hiccups. Going out later and will see if it works, give you an update when I return.

That is correct. Since the app doesn't let you in if you uninstalled it won't work at all. I get the same message but I didn't uninstall so it will still work.

Everytime I have to do a fresh install because of me screwing my phone up and making it do SOD's (screen of death). I always reset google wallets. You don't think this is the same as being permanently blocked, right? I say this only because I didn't wipe the wallet. I felt that there was no need to because I didn't switch ROMs.
It works just fine for me on my note 2 running Macks All Star 3.3, used it at Jersey Mike's Subs and Starbucks. As others have said always reset google wallet when ever making changes to your phone and I always revert back to original android ID thru titanium backup.

The App Installs but I get an error that says unsupported device or network. I'm on Sprint.
I was getting the unsupported warning and when I clicked the "learn more" link it said because I was rooted. I flagged back to stock and now the app won't finish the setup, called Google, said they know about the issue and that they're working on a fix.

Solution for me when Google Wallet wouldn't finish the set-up process and say "try again". Log into your online Google Wallet account and click on "Settings". There is a section labeled "Verification". Even though I had used Google Wallet many times and never had any problems, this section had not been verified.
I answered some of the questions and it was accepted online. I then went back to my mobile Google Wallet and tried it and now it works! I hope this helps. Have a great day!

Yep, getting the same thing. It says my phone is active on the Wallet website but I get the unsupported message along with just a spinning wheel where the credit card picture should be. It just continues to say "Setting up Wallet for purchases" and never ends.
I am rooted.
Im on stock deox mc2 rom and I was able to the official google wallet.

Downloaded straight from Play Store app on device
chose my google account
inputted my PW
said "Loading GW could take 5 minutes" (something like that)
Waited, and then it finished loading
Created PIN
Chose funding source (still stored my previous entries from when I had my Sprint GNEX)
Does say "Unsupported Device" up at the top, but from what I remember GW will still function as it should. It's just letting you know that Google isn't going to help you if you run into any issues since you rooted your device and removed some of the security.
I have yet to actually try a purchase with my phone, but once I do I will report back and confirm working or not.

Has anybody on a MA7 based ROM get Google Wallet to work?
It must be very frustrating not having a working Wallet. I hope everybody's Wallet will be working soon.

First and foremost i would like to say that i did not do this alone. With the help of Ogdobber, we got it working! its only right that i give half the credit to him! Since the first day owning this device, i tried numerous times to try and get it working, and now finally here it is!!
[THIS SHOULD WORK ON ALL VARIANTS (VERIZON AND ATT) WITH A CUSTOM RECOVERY, HOWEVER ITS TESTED FOR SURE ON TMOBILE]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INSTRUCTIONS.. (MUST BE ON A DEOXDED TOUCHWIZ ROM. stock odexed roms will not work with this fix! I am running wicked V2 and it is confirmed working..)
10/5/2013 update.... Due to the new wallet verson, a build.prop change is NOT necessary... this can now be simplified into 2 very easy setep.
Step 1 .. Download my lib fix file and the modified wallet zips here..
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gvm9pvjqmo1j9j1/sgs4-lib_fix-w1.6-R96-v13.zip
https://www.dropbox.com/s/y8x1w9v97whpcuq/Google Wallet 2.0-R133-v9-MODDED.zip
Step 2.... Flash both files in CWM
reboot and setup wallet and youre golden!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HUGE THANKS TO OGDOBBER, Xeonox, romracer, and everyone who helped get this working!
Confirmed working on Wicked V2.
Thanks for all your hard work & weeks of fiddling around to get this up & working!

Yes.. I prefer root explorer..
Long press system/build.prop, choose "open with text editor"
Find that string that I posted above and modify them 3 to the sprint names listed above.. Exit and save

UPDATE......
After following the instructions in the OP, download MoDaCo's xposed toolkit from here http://www.modaco.com/topic/361634-xmod-modaco-toolkit-for-xposed-framework/
Enable the module in xposed and reboot
load MoDaCo's toolkit, click Google, check "Disable Wallet checks" and "Prevent app disabling"
Reboot
change build.prop back to orginal
Reboot
Profit!

Tried this on Wicked v2, and the first time I ran the Wallet app, it FC'd. However, launching it a second time, it succeeded. Not sure why, thought it was odd, but now it's up and running. Woot.
I do get the 'Unsupported Device' at top, but other than that it seems to fire off okay.

I suppose it does the same hack, but found a couple of other very useful hacks in the toolbox....
1. Can removed the battery icon from the notifications bar (and just show %)
2. Enable NFC to always work... When the screen is off.

Thank you, both of you. My dreams of now being able to use my phone to buy a soda from a vending machine have come true. Thanks

First of all... congrats guys! Well done! :good:
Secondly... when you say "steps 7 and up of you already did the fix".... does that mean we only need to do steps 8 and on, if we have not done the fix?
