[Q] Msl generator - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi all.
I am having issues getting my MSL for my Sprint Galaxy Nexus. I am rooted running stock 4.1. I have tried the *#*#Data#*#* trick but nothing I downloaded Vipers files but I am a noob and I was not sure how to use it. I have busy box, and terminal emulator. I called sprint but because the contract is canceled they told me it was deleted from their system.
So I was wondering if there was a way to get a number generator to spam 6 digit numbers to the MSL enter bar. I need this so that I can switch to page plus. Thank you if you can help.

Sorry not trying to be rude but would hate to have my question fall in the void. so BUMP

Can't you just use CDMA tool with the Samsung default password?

I don't think so I was reading the thread by autoprime who stated that these were Via chipset, but I don't know. If you know the steps I will give them a shot.

Okay never mind I figured it out. I just re installed the Ice cream-sandwich stock for sprint and then I was able to use the msl terminal script from Viperboy and using the 3 step process from autoprime.

[Diag Mode] Reading NV memory for unlock code

Hey guys I unlocked mine using software unlock. It did a temp root then changed the unlock code to "00000000".
I paid to get it unlocked with the tool.
I want to start a thread that everyone does memory scan and dumps. That way we can try to start
Unlocking our Devices free. Now I can't do one on mine since its pointless since mine was made into 0's.
For those of you who have unlocked it already and k ow your unlock code or are wanting to unlock it I encourage to do a memory scan and a dump.
Now I suggest using CDMA workshop or using QXDM to scan the memory.
You are going to look for it both in hex and plain text.
Type *#7284# and select USB – Modem
Type *#9090# and select [1] USB4. Exit service menu and turn your phone off by pressing power button then reboot.
I will post the drivers in another post.

Also installed the samsung drivers from the link qxdm and qpst.
When I connected my phone, it installed several new drivers on Windows. However it couldn't find one driver for device Android ?
Also I'm new to all this I don't know how to use QXDM, can you post a step by step guide for it? Also once I'm done, should I set back USB to PDA (on *#7284#) ?
We can just call TMobile and get the unlock code for free. Not understanding the reason for this.

Is it safe to get the phone unlocked this way ? This way its a little cheaper. But I wanted to know, if it involves changing IMEI or somethin (not legal?)

Sounds like you are missing the ADB driver. What I have done to get the adb driver to load properly, is to plug phone in and make sure I get the "typical usb" message in phone. Disconnect cable and reboot phone. Reconnect cable and see if windows loads more drivers. Those would be the "adb " drivers.
I have adb on my PC's which does download Google drivers as well.

Hey guys sorry for the no replies. I am currently on vacation on a lake in North Carolina and the wife complains when I try to get on the laptop lol.
The point is to try to understand where in the Memory the Lock code is stored.
That way we don't have to visit sites and request unlock codes both paid and free.
That way we can do it ourselves.
And about the Android Driver he is right. Im about 99% sure you are missing the adb drivers.
Thank you all for helping out. As soon as I get back I am going to connect and try to see if I can find my unlock code which was reset to 0's.
And yes its safe and permanent when you make it all 0's.
Well back to vacation.
Again thanks to all for helping while I am away
Waiting for the free unlock code too. If you can figure out, please post it. Have a nice vacation.

To find the address location of lock code.
This seems like its a similar process to the galaxy s 4g. on that phone you would create a memory backup up file through terminal emulator using some commands. i would make a .bak file that you would scan with a hex editor on the pc...

i can't seem to find a damn craQ'd working version of cdma workshop for SH*T ! - and if I do, setup doesn't run at all just says "Lisence needed to run setup!" -- anywho, has anyone CONFIRMED this working yet? finding your own lock code?
If any one out there had their phone unlocked by a code and willing to share phone's NV items through QCN file (please remove sim before extracting QCN), I can compare them to my locked version and see what items are affected.
Please DO NOT POST your QCN files here instead go to text tab in QCN view and copy all content except address 550 and send it me.
Thanks.

reading getprop ril.MSL and 32GB GS3 vs 16GB

Hello,
I have a blue 32GB GS3 Sprint. Was fumbling around trying to use various techniques for obtaining MSL via software, and failing. Question I have are:
Has anyone else have a 32GB GS3 and had success reading MSL?
Does the various methods out there only work on the 16GB version? Does anyone know?
Report your findings here. Im curious to know what specifics.

Click on Edit. Enter a wrong MSL, any combo of numbers. It'll fail
Then open Terminal Emulator and type the getprop command

tried that too.. still no dice..i also read somewhere changing the spc to 000000 might help, but no dice with doing that either. I also read somewhere that when updating to jb 4.1.2 it killed the 16 digit code, but reverting back to 4.1.1 or 4.0.1 brought it back. So im going to try that next.. ill update, thanks garwynn
Just to update.. Yes flashing back to ICS fixed the problem i was able to use default samsung pw. Weird how this doesn't work on JB 4.1.2

Where Would You Begin Rootwise?

This is a great place for me to ask this question and I hope that maybe other members who have the same set up as me could get the answers they are looking for. Im a disabled U.S Army Veteran and I have memory problems so searching XDA and goggle for me is quite sum task/adventure. Dont ask me how long it took for me to put the pic together or how long it took for me to ask this question cause I might reply, "Yes Id like some gravy with my bowling ball". All joking aside, Id like to achieve a stock root on my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for now. Thank you for such a wonderful site and giving me the opportunity to ask my question. Thanks XDA

Download, follow the instructions to flash to phone and you're all set.
Easy peasy.
Im trying TMPOOLE's advice and Im at the select your device model and build and am stuck here. I see Sprint model SPH-L900 but Im not seeing my build. The two options are Builds JRO03C ALJ1 and JRO03C ALJC. The pic Im including in this post is what Iv got. Does this mean I should be patient and wait for another toolkit (non-donated) version to become available? I cant afford the toolkit at this time but should be able to by this weekend. If I get the donated version would it include my build?

Me personally and with my disability, the first set of instructions for the toolkit method agree with my brain. I appreciate both of yous guys advice. Negative, there is a very simple solution (found below). By the way, Thanks for your service, coming from an ex-sailor (well technically, submariner)
Use the ljc build option, option 42 in the toolkit. Works fine, I've tested personally. The difference in ljc and ma7 weren't any changes to the os per say, just minor tweaks that the former option still works with the latter version.
~swyped from my galaxy note 2 on the now network
Iv triedca couple o times already and it keeps hangn at PIT map (I think thats what it was called) then it would say fail. Any ideas?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Which option are you using?
I've used option 42, all in one root.
Edit: wrote this before, but can be used in this case also.
Basically, download the toolkit to your pc. Unzip the files and install the program (path ends with a .exe and Windows will tell you it's an application)
That tells you step by step exactly what to do.
To make it even easier, in the toolkit, it'll ask if you want to check for an update, type no.
Option 42. (Sprint ljc build)
Option 1. (Unplug device from computer before doing that)
It may bring you back to the first screen, which if so, option 42 again
Option 2. (Root/unroot)
Option 3 ALL-IN-ONE. (Option 4 May work also... I'd go with any that root, insecure boot, and custom recovery, just me though)
From there, it will tell you step by step what you need to do
I find TWRP is easier to use on this phone, so I would choose option 2 after typing no from here.
~swyped from my galaxy note 2 on the now network
Iv done the steps you described when I first started to try this program out and it still gets hung up at the mapping phase then pops up the red FAIL box. Iv selected 42 then the options for root, superSU, twrp then I plug in my usb while in usb debugging mode. Am I misding something?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Okay, so you don't hook the phone up until the debug step... make sure usb debugging is on, plug phone up, start toolkit, make sure the upper left has your serial number under adb devices. Start with the phone plugged in.

I got root!!!! The problem was the laptop I was borrowing I used another friends laptop and everything went smooth as _________ <-----Fill in the blanks. Thanks for all yallz input!
