I apologize ahead of time if there is a thread on this topic. I have searched for quite some time with no luck. I just want to be able to install the stock movie maker app for the E4GT. I can find a market link but it says the app is not compatible. Does anyone know a work around for obtaining this app? Or any of the stock apps. I am unable to download any of the stock apps from the market after root. Which I know is a known issue. Any help would be much appreciated and if there is already a thread I would gladly have this taken down.

You could flash crawrj's FI27 ROM, it's stock rooted with busybox, both odexed and deodexed versions. There are a few options for flashing, zips and tars.

Sorry I should have specified I want it on my current ROM. On Jellybean PA.

You can always unzip a stock ROM and take the .apk you want out of it. Put in on the root of your sdcard and move it to system/app using some sort of file explorer then change permissions before rebooting. Not sure it would play well with JB tho.

So if I understand the question, you are asking if you can flash the GB08 kernel with the Stock Rooted GA10 build, Correct, and yes you can as I have just done so..
Any obvious improvements over GA10? Call-waiting fixed?

So I can flash this over my GA10 without losing data?
EDIT: Oh, duh, the ROM isn't available yet. I guess only SexTape could comment on that.

Couldn't find the Kernel, the link points to an empty directory. The modem is there however.
Thanks for uploading! :good:

Is it possible to install a new kernel while using the at&t stock 4.1.1 tw rom? I want something stable I can oc. Thanks.

If rooted, yes. If not, no...
If you are rooted and have a custom recovery then yes. The original development thread is full of kernels for tw and aosp
Not positive but I would imagine you could even Odin a recovery flash said kernel but you wouldn't be able to oc without root.
Edit: questions go in the Q&A thread btw

Ok let me rephrase. I am looking to flash the stock rom that came with the phone. Can you provide a link to it. I still want to be rooted, but I just want my phone looking fresh from factory. Thanks.
The stickied firmware thread is your best bet then. Root66 firmware is at the top.

Tip....go back to twrp 2.4.4.0.....or something around that version. I had big issues using 2.6.1.0.
